Hey everyone! So I just heard back from Razer regarding the lubed switches claim. They said that the new switches will have lube applied to the spring inside - but as I said in the video everything was bone dry. Could be that the lube dried out? Could be that particular spring has it applied too thin? Idk, cough #LUBEGATE cough jk, but yes they did say all springs will be lubed in production units.
Do u think it's better than the other 60% keyboard? I'm thinking of buying ducky one 2 mini, wich is better you think? The Ducky one 2 mini or the new razor 60% keyboard
Buying this as my first mechanical keyboard - ordered it today. I have always loved watching mech keyboard reviews and sound tests whilst reminding myself that I was too broke to get one. Welp I finally got enough and decided to get the huntsman mini. So excited! Edit: I got it - and having been using it for the last week I would definitely recommend
I got purples - I have always loved watching vids with clicky switches for the sound and don't regret it. They feel super light as well which is really nice
Not nice in terms of sound. But the switches are an absolute dream for me when typing with a light touch without bottoming out. The purple opticals are the perfect switches for my typing style, and add in some good quality keycaps and it is enough for me to keep this bord without a doubt. I will just have to endure or get used to the scrangly noises, light weight and the sub-optimal/slightly slipperly rubber pads 😅 It's far from perfect, but it's still a keeper in my case.
I got a lower end pc and watching you play bf5 with graphics cranked up on that ultrawide looks so fun. That's motivation for me to work harder to get to that point. I love pc gaming.
I still have this one linear mercury. Stock keycaps are great and do not have that dry pbt feel. 1mm is a bit too fast but not too bad thanks to 40 grams. Feels solid to press. No mistakes. The linear feels fantastic and very smooth to press. Sounds good, looks good, feels good, holds up good. Rgb is great, cable is great. The only downside is phantom sticky keys but you just have to remove synapse
Hey guys I don't know if this helps but I asked Razer Support and for now they don't have any plans on releasing the "gen 2" of the linear switches on the TE. So the only choice for that rn is the Mini :(
Awwwww my lord, I remember the old TE huntsman. Those keys sounded so cheap feeling, now they feel premium with the silicon dampers make it so much better!
So I’ve had this board for about a week now. Got the black with the red switches. And this is a wonderful board to type on. You can barley hear it and I’m a heavy typer with my right hand and is like I’m just tickling the keys. I had the black widow elite with the yellow switches but that’s thing wasn’t quiet like they’re advertising it to be. But after using this for about a week i have realized how often it would use the arrow keys and the function keys. I was thinking about getting the huntsman TKL but then i saw this video and heard the typing test, or lack thereof, and had to get it. Having to use the function button is a little annoying sometimes. But if razer decides to put the new red switches into the TKL within the time I’m allowed to return the 60%, i might have to get that just because of the extra keys. But this board is amazing. There are obviously cheaper alternatives to the 60% keyboard but i like having these switches and the lighting options through synapse.
11:10 when you can get the Anne Pro 2 with better keycaps, extra keycaps included, much more switch variety, rgb that is more customizable on board , bluetooth an that is built in high profile at 2/3 the price, it is still overpriced
I got myself a Ducky One 2 SF for $110 & it's fantastic. Had to wait a couple weeks to get it but it was well worth the wait. Edit: Anne Pro 2 is also an excellent keyboard.
I just copped this keyboard popped some POM jellies on it I love it. The switches were surprisingly nice for a razer keyboard way better than any cherries imo
I've outfitted some of my keyboards with Razer's PBT keycaps. They are of low quality as they are starting to shine in a couple of months of moderate use. When you get better quality PBT caps they keep their texture for a lot longer than that so Razer needs to improve this since good quality PBT caps cost just a bit more.
Nice review and nice keyboard. And that sacrifice to show us the dampening mechanism! Now please @Razer, a new Orbweaver with better quality and upgraded silent switches. I need to replace mine that is dying, already changed few switches and that awful rubber.
I want to buy this one but I have already the Anne Pro 2 with kailh box brown switches. If I should buy the huntsman mini which switches should I probably get? I'm a gamer btw.
after watching this, i m not jumping into the huntsman TE, nor the mini since i prefer my ducky mecha in 60% format, or may be they would soon release a TE 2020 version lol
I wonder why razer huntsman mini has a rattle 🤔 i kinda dont like the rattle of the switches but i’ll take it, (i actually want to change the switches of razer huntsman mini and change it to Cherry MX Red and lube the switches lol)
