I get what you mean but I do disagree. If this was a movie with a very large budget maybe it could work but for a series, personally I don't think it would work. I do agree sometimes it is a better option and maybe we'll start seeing more cgi especially with Chopper next season. As long as it's good and not too distracting, I'm all on board for it

i think one piece fans are really weirdly pick and choosy with the size of characters. and they should get used to the adaptation using normal sizes for most people as the weird 8-10 foot people are only gonna be hard to adapt. like yeah, people like Whitebeard and Big Mom, and the giants, are so big they have to keep them that way. but like Arlong obviously would be smaller. but yeah one piece fans are weird with the height thing. arlong is 8”7 in the manga being placed by a 6”1 actor. but garp in the manga is 9”5, being played by a 6 foot actor. people complained about arlong a lot, but no one complained about garp

Well... They will be adapting 6 seasons aka going up to marineford 😂 and if those are good they'll make more going up to wano so... They're thinking of adapting 1k episodes into live action... Holy shi- oda is a fkn god

I didn't see the video so I didn't know they covered his face. Maybe he didn't want to show himself for some reason but there are a ton of pics of him online and I think I've seen interviews of him showing his face so I don't think he wants to be anonymous but I might be wrong on that

@@MrB2022Oda hasn’t shown his face in interviews or any media at all in about 15 years as he wants his privacy; since privacy in the public eye in japan is almost impossible to achieve. if you think social media is toxic and bad because of shit like cancel culture over here, in japan it’s worse. twitter stalkers and obsessive fans are just inherently just a lot MORE over there. celebrities can have whole careers ruined for just associating with different people, brands, media, etc that their fans don’t like. it’s like a tight rope. Oda just wants to maximise how much privacy he has now.

ngl i was distracted watching the first episode and had to rewatched it because of zoro AHAHAHA they made him too cool dude.. i just can't lol but it's not that bad.. this live action really open the path for those whose intimidated by one piece episodes that already surpassed 1000 episodes your statement "I dont know why he let his lifes work get butchered so bad. What a shame." i don't think so at all, if he felt that OP is butchered this movie will never be here in the first place... there are so many people who are too afraid watching the anime and now started watching it because of these 8 episodes... maybe you come from the prespective of a person who already watch the anime but for those who haven't this actually pretty good... and from the person who read the manga i certainly unsatisfied in some of the scene, characters and also story writing.. but hey i'm not dissapointed and waiting for the 2nd season to come ^^

One piece didnt need to launch a live action to become popular. Everybody in every country and their grandma knew what one piece is. Also people today want to bing watch series that have many episodes with many seasons. You personal experience of people getting intimidated by 1000 episodes is nothing compared to the litteral millions of people that sit their ass and watch a whole season of a series in one day or they finish the whole series in 2-7 days depending on how bit it is. 1000 episodes would take those people something close to a month or a month and a half if they didnt skip anything. Now once again, speaking for cinematography and costumes and not speaking for what i like and dislike, The acting, the writing for some characters, the line for some characters, the costumes and the cast for some characters is amateurish, if not outright garbage. It is the truth. Doesnt matter how much you like the hot zoro or hot nami, doesnt matter how much of a fanboy you are, the show is bad and NOTHING close to the original. And the worst thing is that apart from good actors, every other thing is easily fixable. They just had a low budget and they chose to throw all the money for scenery and cgi. This LA is for 15 kids and people that only watche one piece casually. A real fan would be dissapointed. You no real fan.

@@brandongreenhill6977 well sorry if my standards are too low for someone like you.. i said unsatisfied in some of the scene i think they could have done it in different scenario but i'm just saying, it is an entirely different from manga and even anime.. before the LA came people always compared the manga and anime it's no different this time.. you gotta separate them to get the full view of what it is, can you imagine putting in like what 40 ish episodes into 8... it is not the same as anime but doesn't mean it's not one piece.. i watched the anime until like 980 ish in 2 months and rewatched again from time to time and then went to read the manga after that and become a manga reader.. have been waited for it every week now.. i am actually a casual anime watcher but only one piece had got me hooked up like this to the point i'm buying their merch especially luffy :> and i only have one piece merch so far.. people are loving this movie and people are loving one piece.. if you hate the love one piece has recieved you are no better either than your so called 'no real fans' right here... so define to me what real fans mean.. you don't have to like this movie but you don't have to trash talk either

@@chrisdurand1441 If i wanted to go in-depth for as to why the live action is poorly made, i could write a whole essay for each of its offenses and then some. I could also write three words like ''bad acting, bad writing, bad costumes'' and be done with my comment but i chose to go a little more indepth. Now you assume i am a weeb and also you say its good stuff without giving any reasoning whatsoever, other that the alleged fact that you have been a fan for over two decades. This is proof that you are the definition of a butthurt person whereas i could be defined mostly as an unsatisfied viewer. I wasted my time replying to a keyboard warrior that only said X is good because i like it, so dont bother giving me a reply because that is is the only two minutes i will ever waste.

they literally cannot cut little garden. it could easily be condensed into one episode, but cutting it would be a huge mistake. also crocodile is honestly one of the easier things to adapt. he is purely just sand particle effects.

@@cwega2463 i know that... but they also ended up cutting hachi for budget...you see where i am coming from? but with recent events in mange, yes, little garden is 1000000% not gertting cut.

@@MrMCKlebeband hachi is a lot more complex than particle effects though. don’t worry, crocodile has no issue. he will be just as badass 😫😫

@@cwega2463 naaah, i was talking about little garden, ... hachi was also important to the plot, but needed to be cut because of budget... but little garden is too important... i know crocodile is very much possible for netflix, my point is, they have so MUCH budget intensive content for season 2, we might get another hachi situation. yes particel effects are not the challenge here... but it's still gonna be expensive to animate the fight...its not just patricle simulations... its also blending that stuff with the acter and making it actually look like a logia AND chopper, AND giants... i think mister 3 might go... but the wax key.... hmmm... my point is, its very much budget intensive content to adapt for season 2.

Ey... Now all you need to do is watch the best world building of anime, aka the king of shonen, yes those are the title of one piece.

i think it goes to show it’s not the story of one piece you dislike. it’s the anime’s terrible pacing. if you like the live action this much then you will LOVE the manga.
