Great one, Josh! So much for your younger and/or inexperienced viewers to learn from. Sometimes no calling. Sometimes minimal calling. Adjust when needed. Have a great hide! And like a few others said, don’t always need that third shot as they’re going away. This a great Duck Hunting 101 tutorial. Awesome content (and shooting). Congrats on first big duck limit!
Love how you only take shots at actual decoying birds instead of shooting at anything that makes a pass. Most people these days shoot at every bird that flies close and never gives them an opportunity to work. Great work and can’t wait to see your next video!
Got to North East Kansas Sunday cold front was brutal killed a 3 man limit Monday & Tuesday & 2 man limit today. Birds are here but the full moons this week have screwed the birds up a little but today was a major goose migration day seen couple thousand snows, specks & Canada's not to mention the 3-4k mallards that came off the refuge at sunset was a sight to see.
Good stuff Josh! I agree, the hide makes all the difference. Sure you need a place for them to land and might need to adjust spread but if that boat/hide looks funny...they ain't commin'! Can't wait to see what's next.
If you don’t have a remote on your spinner you may look into that and when those groups start circle multiple times you can shut it off and they will finish in the next pass most of the time
Josh I live in East Tennessee and we just had the first snow of the year 2 days ago. It pushed so many birds down to us. Our season starts on the 5th and I’m absolutely stoked for this year. Public lands are hard to come by around here but from what we have seen, it’s gonna be a good year for us.
Man Sunday the wind blew so hard that I couldn't keep the decoy's anchored in my farm pond by Hamilton Ks., talk about blow when its a steady 30 mph it's just time to pack it in for me. Great hunt keep up the super work and enjoy your video's.
Great hunt! Im in Northern Kansas. Have ya'll noticed at all ducks not liking the mojos? We were having issues with Ducks finishing in the hole or flaring. Pulled the spinners and issues went away. I feel like ducks are being educated on them now days since every spread has them. Just a thought.
Great job, it was only a matter of time. Cant wait for the next one. Going out with my older son on Saturday. They are still coming down with the cold weather coming down from Canada.
Unfortunately we had to pull our big plate boat duck boat out of the lake because after busting through about 2 inches of ice on the lake we realized its only going to get worse up in iowa south end.
That 20 guage worked great on that close shot, I don't know if 12 guage with longer shots would help, I know more pellets, but you were on those other 2 shots, even seen tail feathers fly, I always liked my old sweet 16 shooting ducks back in 80s
Nice freaking job staying on that last one man. I am in NC. Our season doesn't kick back in until Dec. 19th but I just got an Ascend 133X that I am going to use for the river.
Great video! I know it would probably be a pain but would love to see a time lapse or something of the kayak in or out of the spot. Or maybe more brush in videos. Congrats on the limit!
Man that first set that flew in. It looked like you hit that middle top bird twice and it didnt go down. But good shooting regardless trying to get a bird youve already taken a shot at
