Recently, Larry has noticed something unusual. Many of the new challengers have come to adore him over the rest of the gym leaders, even though he’s a very normal man, living a very normal life.

Yeah at first I didn't get the hype but then I played the game first the surprise of just an ordinary office worker being a gym leader already makes Larry special then there's the fact that he literally is just a normal guy in the Pokemon world he wakes up does his job and goes to sleep he is the perfect idea for a normal type gym leader and even when he uses flying types he still is the same person. Also I like how they don't use Starraptor as the Pokemon on Larry's Elite four team to get Teratilized becuase the Starraptor is normal Tera not flying so instead the Flamingo becomes pure flying.
