They FINALLY Made an I'm on Observation Duty GHOST HUNTING Game - Deathwatch 

Thanks for playing, Insym! Throughout development we kept thinking Insym will probs love this! We hope Insym plays it. Watching you play it was so awesome for us! Really hope you enjoyed it and thank you for playing it! We updated the UI slightly (we'll more than likely do a full refresh of it later), added more achievements and extra rare events for people to hunt. Fixed a lot of bugs and made things more fluid for release!

I LOVE how your room is also one of the places anomalies can occur.

Every time I see these I keep dreaming of an Observation Duty/Phasmophobia hybrid where one player watches the security-camera feeds in the truck outside and 1-3 players explore the level environment in first-person. When an anomaly is detected, the Observer reports it to the Company, which verifies it and relays it to the team inside. Then, the anomaly becomes interact-able (maybe outlined in red or something) and can be fixed by the team. If one of the team notices an anomaly before the Observer, they can mention it via voice chat. Anomalies like Ghosts and Intruders would pose a real danger to the team, and the Observer would not only have to report the anomaly, but warn the team inside of the Intruder's current status (i.e. don't enter the bathroom, Intruder is moving to the living room, etc.). Perhaps instead of reporting these anomalies to the Company, the team inside is armed somehow and can dispatch these anomalies as they appear. Maybe they aren't authorized to use those weapons until the Observer reports the anomaly to the Company. Still thinking about that. Win condition would still be Survival Until 6AM, but there would be a hidden series of optional objectives to potentially solve the haunting and fix the place. Like the easter eggs in the Observation Duty games, or like the Call of Duty Zombies easter egg quests. Failure condition could be having too many anomalies active at once, or having the entire team become incapacitated by harmful anomalies like Ghosts, Intruders, or Abyss Presence.

The mic thing in the top left is probably so that players who are deaf of hard-of-hearing still have a chance to catch the audio-related anomalies. :) This game is awesome!

For the closing eyes thing; in the hospital, when we try and reanimate a patient but it’s unsuccessful, but their eyes aren’t closed completely, we do that manually but not just the swipe down like in movies. You have to hold it shut for a moment, because there’s no more muscle function that would cause the eyes to open back up. It’s macabre but I don’t know how else to describe it; a dead body’s soft tissue is sort of squishable and manipulatable like play-dough, since no more circulation is active that could reinstate the natural stance anymore and the same goes for the eyes. There’s eye caps, that are kind of like hard plastic contact lenses with little hooks on them to hold the eyes shut for like open casket funerals and such but we don’t have them at the hospital. The body that was hanging upside down had their eyes open probably for the simple reason of gravity, since no body tension or muscle function in form of electric impulses was happening anymore, pulling the soft tissue down toward the ground, including the eyelids.

For the “do they die with their eye closed part?” people don’t, and the reason why the eyes are closed during viewings is because of the stuff that are put in the eyes by the embalmer so that the body looks “peaceful”

I wish these sort of games started each level with still images to study on a short timer so you know what 'normal' looks like

Love how they made it harder for streamers by not removing the phenomena, so people coming into the stream don't know what's already been reported.

I love how most games try to act like flashlights just die after about 30 seconds of continued use when flashlights in real life can last for weeks or longer (depending on the battery and flashlight) on continued use.

I feel like this game would be so fun if they added a multiplayer mode. It would be so fun to play with friends

This is easily the most entertaining observation duty style game so far. I did not like the concept that you just died when there was too many abnormalities, but having a different source of danger that is more intuitive works far better for me.

Key words are "early access" and "subject to change". Game looks good now, so can only imagine what the full version will play like.

Just a few minutes in and I already feel that this brings observation duty to the next level.

oh man the moment i realized looking around your own location FNAF style was also an option for the events to happen my anxiety sky rocketed and I MonkaS'd irl so fucking hard been awhile since watching a horror game being played by someone else did that to me, what a genius way to make someone more engaged in this style of spot the difference horror game.

I assume the anomalies don't disappear so you can report them again later to remove a color in case you forgot. If they want to change that they should probably automaticly remove the colors that are possible rather than having you fill it in manually

This looks like the coolest Observation Duty i've seen so far.

Now that is scary. Having no control of your movement is very unsettling

I feel like the idea for VR of this game could work, though finding the specific way to do it would be the difficult part. I do have a way I would try it, but I don't know how difficult such an attempt would be. It could be set up in a way that the cams can be pulled up on an armband so they're adjustable to however the player needs for them to be able to see (plus allows for some wacky challenges like holding it as far away as possible), the flashlight could be in the same hand so that it isn't used while cams are up but can still be used in deterring the entity in your room. The logging monitor could probably be either/or in terms of remaining a monitor or an armband on the other arm. The item used to rid of the entity should probably stay on the desk since it's not really used until the end or near the end, though it could be a grabbable object for ease of access. Just had these thoughts while VR was being talked about and figured I'd share my view on it ɛ>

Finally bought this game after having it on my Wishlist for at least half a year. Pretty fun so far. I'm keeping track of what I notice in a notes app, and a notebook, that way if somebody looks through my notes taking app or a notebook of mine, they'll see "Paranormal Events", and logs such as "Graveyard - Door manipulation (Gate shut)", or "Driveway - Entity sighting (Demon-ish creature crawling)", and will just freak the fuck out 😂 Dawg that fucking entity sighting on the room scared the fuck out of. I saw it, which didn't scare me, but that sound effect did. Holy fucking shit

Such an existing game! I’ve played the og im on observation duty like in 2019 and it was WOW! I don’t really like playing horror games, but spot-the-difference horror game sounded unique and after couple of hours i fell in love with it. Im so happy that now we can enjoy more games this!🎉❤

He missed that shadow in his room over and over again on the second map. It was just a shadow person lying there on the ground to his left. Also there WAS orbs in the living room but you took a long time to report it so it must have not counted. The orb seems to show itself and disappear without coming back pretty quickly.

The bathtub in the ward made me think of Countess Elizabeth Báthory de Ecsed, a hungarian noblewoman who was said to have killed young women to bath in their blood, hoping it would keep her young forever.

An even harder difficulty level might have no warning when you've reported something wrong and might give incorrect clues. There would need to be a way to determine which clues are incorrect, though, and I'm not sure what that might look like.

Seems like the only differnce between the modes is having less drain on power equalling more lives at staying alive. Also reporting wrong things make the entity come faster and often.

it was midnight where I watch this video, and it scare the crap out of me.

I feel like a VR version of this would only work if you removed the screens and made the player walk from room to room to see changes, while having the ghost hunt you from the corner of your eye the entire time. Then force the player to file reports from their home room and use the device from the home room.

Btw I just watched half an hour of this video.. N I literally got a dream of being inside this game.. But instead, its multiplayer.. And its really scary from my POV as its feels so real.. One time I need to run by foot to several locations (dining hall, buddhist prayer rooms with statues and some people meditating, and the kitchen .) I need to physically check it ( alone ) because there was only 1 monitor that we need to use together.. And the most crazy shenanigans happened in my room when I was alone too.. Dang its a wonder how our brain works

Some DBD streamers change something is stream's brightness? so as we can see the map better because the game can't get brighter. Idk how they do it but i hope you find how so as you can satisfy everyone (personally the brightness was just fine) btw it will help you as well as you don't have to change your game's settings if you like them but we can't see clearly, it's a win win condition!

Just the mention of there names causes them to seek the location……… I’m 26 and I’ve had to avoid many of both and have personally seen at least 4 wendies, and 3 skinnies. Shits genuinely terrifying.
