Great looking dial. The case is a bit funky, but I like it! Love this seconds hand and the fact that they lumed the counter balance as well...that's a fun spin around the dial and night!
I try to stay away from watches to save some money, but this one caught my eye. I really like the boderry I own and I thought this was quite an interesting looking watch. Fortunately field watches aren't my style so I'm not temped, but If I was, this would definitely hit the spot I guess. Wouldn't mind if more cases were sand blasted 🙂
I think that’s a good looking watch. I’ve never really paid attention to them, but I might now. I would go for the white dial, and I agree, it does look better on the strap. They have quite a collection of styles (most not to my taste though). Thanks for the great review.
@@spiket4 I think that was the case with a lot of people. If they'd gone for the newer 8315 then it would have been fine, but the 8215 is just not very good.
Picked up the Vintage Noir version with the NH35 movement, also picked up the Checkmate with black/gold dial and the 2 tone strap... Now to play the waiting game 😂
I'm a big fan of the Bertucci (on which I assume this is based), but dig the lugs, the fact it has lug pin holes (in two positions yet, for normal straps/bracelets and natos!) Nice dial, and despite the titanium bracelet looking pretty nice, I also prefer the look on the zulu. The NH35 is a nice tweek, but I do wish it maybe had a wee bit more WR. Overall, I really like this!
Yeah the multiple holes allowing for different strap sizes is a nice touch. The movement change is definitely for the best. The lack of hacking and more importantly rotor noise/wobble on the 8215 would ruin it I think. They really need to phase out that movement and just fully switch over to the 8315 instead. As, from what I've heard, that doesn't suffer from those issues and also has the upped power reserve as well.
Yeah i have a Bertucci as well , and a Boderry . The Boderry is so cheap for an auto , but looks awesome .Real solid watch . Well worth having a look at ,quality is well up to the Bertucci .
Like this. No frills and nothing flashy. Sometimes simple is a good thing. Digging this. Packaging is okay but I wish these brands would use something other than plastic. San Martin's Packaging is something that other brands should be using. They have great packaging. Cheers!
Absolutely mate. When it comes to the packaging, San Martin took a few attempts to get it right as well. So hopefully Boderry will get there eventually too.
Great Review and I've ordered one - I was thinking of an equivalentish Seiko 5 with Steel Case, Mineral Glass and exactly the same movement but at well under half the price, Titanium Case and Sapphire Glass, I'm going to take a chance on this one thanks to your review.
I went for the strap but I have to admit it does look good on the bracelet. I've found, though, you can order the bracelet separately which is good news.
Really the only complaint I had with it was the month it took to get it. It's on the strap. Perfect look, dimensions price auto field watch to me. Mine came in a plastic shipping container style box which I've never seen before.
I hated on Boderry because this Voyager is full ripoff of Bertucci A2 field watch, but man, the build quality and the fully lumed numerals on the dial make it better than the Bertucci.

Hi. I picked up one of these ages ago when they were first released. It has the Miyota mov't which looks weird bc of the pinion driver (watch seems to slow, then speed up, but keeps really good time). Titanium bracelet was not available at the time, so it came on the NATO which as you say is really good quality and very comfortable. Bracelet is now available separately for a little over £30, which is a bit pricey when the NATO is this good. Cant recall exactly what I paid, but it was around £60. This was a promo price though. Nice vid. I happened to be wearing it when I saw you in my notifications. Synchronicity, eh? 🙂 Edit: I'd have preferred the NH...
I've had my eye on this with a green nato strap although it does look good with the titanium strap. Didn't know that there is now a hacking version, because I was disappointed about that before.

Good review 👍, this is obviously a homage of a Bertucci, but somehow they've made it less appealing by changing the lug shapes and replacing the fixed lugs (the original's USP) with spring bars.
Exactly. I'm putting this on a 22mm distressed leather strap I have spare, but it's good to have the Zulu option as well. I've never had a springbar accidentally pop out so feel that fixing them to the case is overkill.
I'm usually a bracelet guy, but this one may actually look better on the strap! Just out of curiosity, do you know if the white dial version is full lume?
It does look good on the strap and it's a nice one too. I'm not sure to honest. You'd have to look for reviews of that colour, or maybe message the seller.

@danspanos there is only a tiny bit of lum on the white dial. I saw another review site reviewing the white dial. Hands are lumed but there are only tiny lum triangles on the dial in the minute track. This is probably OK as the hands are still lumed and the numerals have good contrast against white background in low light. The little triangles of lum in the minute track aren't very bright and don't do much, but they are there (if you had a small UV light in your pocket or car you can charge them up before going somewhere dark). But I say if lum is crucial then get another colorway. Beware that the wine color one for now still has the older Miyota movement.
I ordered the bronze , green dial and gold hands . Obviously on a strap with bronze but they were selling out fast so I thought maybe I was missing out. A full Ti would have been nice as well . but great watch I think. I will let you know .
I have the early version. It's a nice watch for the money. Only thing that kills me is the seconds had jumps with sudden movement. (characteristic of the movement).

I ordered this a few days ago in the sale. I dont recall it saying NH35 at the time of ordering. I hope mine comes with NH35!!! I went for the white dial on strap.

I ordered the white dial so that's encouraging but still not a guarantee. Since it's already shipped I can't cancel if mine is the last stocks of Miyota white dial so I'll just have to cross my fingers, wait and see. I'll pop the caseback off when it arrives and confirm what I have.
I have it arriving today with the black strap. I am planning on ordering the titanium bracelet for this one too. I like both and having that option would be great. I am looking forward to comparing this one to my Bertucci watches. I am drawn to this one because of the automatic movement, which Bertucci does not offer. thanks for the review.

@@stauguastine That's why I always order watches with the bracelet if its option. That and the fact that you know it's going to be the perfect fit as well. You can't always find an aftermarket bracelet that will fit perfectly.

The finished etc. on this watch is outstanding. The movement has been running well for the past two day, no complaints on that either. I helped my son on Saturday with his car so he pulled the trigger on the titanium bracelet for me, should have that in about 12 days. Thanks again for the review.

Does anyone know if they have fixed the end link fit issue with the titanium bracelet ? Seen some reviews where the end links don’t fit snug up against the case and they “wobble” up and down a bit.

Great Video ! Ordered my Boderry Voyager on Valentine Day 2024 and arrived about ten days later from the company website ! The nylon strap the watch came with was too thick for my liking, so put on the NATO-TM strap that I had ! Also put on the Suunto clip-on button compass for my watch EDC ! The watch being an Automatic means I do not have to worry about over winding the watch or an EMP ! Like the crown in the Four O'clock location with "hack" and the price for Titanium for under one hundred USD/U$D ! Ordered a Bertucci A-2T on a special sale for under one hundred USD/U$D... The Black watch bands were sold out so ended up with OD Green ! Also had 200M (very good) and mineral glass (could be better)... Like the Red Second Hand but came with a micro dot... May have to save up for a Solar watch and hope the capacitor does not corrode ! tjl

Buyer Beware! I bought one of these back in Jan 2024. I have several watches and so wore this maybe a couple times. When I went to wear it a few weeks later, the movement kept stopping. Boderry took a while to respond to my email, and had to be prompted by the very responsive AliExpress message responder. They told me to return it for warranty repair. Postage to China cost me almost $20, which they said they'd refund AFTER it was fixed. Here we are in July, and still no watch. They keep promising to get it out 'this week'. Never happens. Now, there's no response to my emails. I'll never buy another Boderry! 🤬

@@thegorn They don't flap about on this one. They're actually pretty firm in place, unless you specifically move them. Just another sign of the quality with this strap.
It changes a bit depending on the lighting. As you can see comparing the outdoor shots with the indoor review section. But yes, I'd say overall it's a bit darker in reality, than shown in the listing shots.

Nice looking watch horrible customer service. I ordered a white dial on the bracelet, but received a red dial on the khaki nato. If you try to email Boderry support you get failure notices.
Don't buy this watch! The watch and the brand are absolute garbage. Boderry does not adhere to their own warranty conditions. In the event of a defect you are not entitled to anything.
Well you see thats the difference between you and the other people reviewing watches, you give an Unbiased review but you also go through all the features of the watch, how you wear it, you charge and give the lume a Chance to show how it really looks like (unlike another reviewer ive seen review this watch) and also your own personal likes and dislikes which doesnt mean that others should have the same opinions. However your opinions are appreciated and its why ive gotten 2 watches now because of you so thank you! Also I found that Green dial Octo Krak in stock and hopefully its still in stock next week cuz i will get it! Keep doing great reviews James you're appreciated!
