I just gotta say, taking a break from streaming seems to have MASSIVELY helped wirt's mental; still on a run with a huge PB and he's simply exuding pragmatism. you love to see it
Haha, I made the same comment, though I'm not a cellist. It's so rare to see video game channels/streams with baroque music, I appreciate every tiny bit of it. Actually, I believe it's the first time in 15 years I see it.
Hopefully he doesn't get depresso espresso and manages to continue attempting the map, the content this has brought is top tier but I can only imagine how draining doing something for more than 160 hrs in such a relatively small amount of time can be
For context, the 100th best player is currently on... floor 4. So yeah, to say the map is insanely difficult probably fails to emphasize how much work the top players have put into this.
You should watch bren. He's much better than wirtual and pretty much speed runs every time. Wirtual just leeches off their progress and goes super slow
Kind of crazy to think that after how hard each floor in this map has been, that they are actually managing to get consistent enough to reach the final floors.
I think I've made this comment before but I really appreciate these edits. I missed them when they were gone. The quality is so much higher than the other channels that do the daily summaries
I love trackmania videos because it's one of the few games where watching at 2x speed doesn't make it feel weird, which means more time for more trackmania videos.
Progress is slower so the edited highlights are fewer and further between. He's making it to the top!! (Just, eh, I don't think/anyone/ is beating Bren there XD.)
I saw the video got uploaded a hour ago and it's 3am ( I'm from Argentina), but I'm going to see this video and then going to sleep. Btw love the editing.
It's so crazy to see the number for the maximum height go up. I remember when floor 6 was insane to get to, and now look at floor 13, more than twice as far.
once you complete it, do you think it would be fun to complete the checkpointed version, see if you can finish the whole map in one stream with checkpoints, and how many tries that takes
Does anyone know where to find the orchestral version of the Jujutsu Kaisen songs that play during this vid? Especially the orchestra version of your battle is my battle, the main theme comes in at 3:33
It's a bait route intended by the mapper, not a shortcut. Elcon does another route that skips the vertical bounce everyone else has been doing and it seems way easier (still impossible for a normal person like me).
Trackmania is all about getting from the start to the finish in the fastest possible way. It may be a route the mapper didn't intend but that's the mapper's problem
hey mister editor, i would love to see the progress he made in the lower levels aswell... if wirtual has a clean run through the lower levels, might think about timelapsing it or something
2:35 I should start playing this game. I saw the pipe and thought "never is that gonna work out" Floor 12 feels like room to breathe by the creators. Let's give em a short and "easy" floor, before it gets ridiculous again.
If you never played it just get the free version and try the training or some of the season tracks. I myself haven't played much, a few hours here and there in the past few years, but even if you just play a bit you realize how hard it really is. There are so many tiny tricks on all the different surfaces which makes you appreciate Wirtual and the other top players a lot more for what they are doing.
I really hope he’ll do an episode about the progression on DDII It’s cool to see Wirtual progress but the real work is done by the others I hope he’ll show the work of Bren Hazard Elconn Lars etc…
My guy played the same map for 160+ hours in a little over a month, that’s about a full month of a full time job spent on just one map. I’m sure he’s just taking a well earned break.
There's a guy called Limpwurt who has just spent 2500 hours over 8 months doing the same, repetitive, mind numbing stuff in Old School Runescape. He's been doing it now for over half a decade. A small bit of progression followed by a mind numbing year or two grind. He starts every video with 'Previously on this shit'. I think these videos should start the same, lol
