@@NoJesusnobeast He seems like the type of dude who didn't start drinking till his early 30s.. Then went over board. He was married to that Itallian babe, and vineo is at every meal. Now he is out of rehab...
@@virtualsnake1994in the first few years of Faith No More that was true. But he definitely started drinking around mid 90s. There’s a few shows from the KFAD era where he’s shit faced. He also talked about drinking in a Tomahawk performance interview, and then last year he admitted that when he cancelled the Mr. Bungle and FNM shows it had to do with him drinking a lot after the pandemic, as well as agoraphobia. He’s still a human being after all. Compared to a lot of his peers in the height of his limelight though, he’s tame in comparison.
@@wyattcole5452 Mike said the band is mad at them for forcing them to cancel the tour in 2021/22 but honestly if his mental health was that bad then… fuck it. Better that than having him on a list with Chris Cornell that isn’t a “best vocalist” list.
@@CCDaDon15Mike and Chris are two of my favorites. But I get what you mean. I really wanna see a FNM show though, hope they get together and come to my neck of the woods, I'd definetly pay to see that.
@@BrianWelsh-fx4st I agree. I hope when Bungle is done with the Easter Bunny shows they patch things up because apparently an album was mostly finished recording when the tour got canceled too.
He laughed like a woman in her 60’s out to brunch with her friends. He nailed this song with Mr Bungle at Festival Hall, Melbourne last week. Damn they’ve still got it.
@@number1andnumber4Yeah he was a fairly good looking dude. Gotta give him that, and he had that thick ass neck to belt out those notes. Thick ass necks may have something to do with vocal ability, that's what I think when I even see Corpse Grinder too.
The only reason why I listen to Faith No More. I was reading a magazine about what Metallica like to listen to, and they all named their bands, and James said faith no more. Then everybody watched Mike flop around on the stage at the MTV music awards. Once that tape cassette come out I bought it. It was the first time any band got me away from metal, but yet gave me a taste of it in the art they made. Edge of the world is one of the greatest songs of all time that nobody knows about except for Faith No More fans.
@@wessley4606 it's opinion, bud. All depends on what aspect of their sound tickles your ear. I agree that Ashes to Ashes is absolutely incredible... but we've all got that one song that just hits different, that stands out and elevates the listening experience on a personal level. I suspect that is how OP feels about Edge of the World. No need to tear down his opinion. As an aside: I don't even like Oasis, but I think Don't Look Back In Anger is an all-time great.
@@wessley4606 oh, the irony. Did you read what @d0gb1te said? Side note, I love Oasis and FNM, so it’s nice to see others enjoys liking both bands as well
Back in the early 90s we were all shaving the sides of our head, and leaving the rest long after seeing MP rock that look, but I don't think I could pull off the spider dreads, especially since I went bald in my 20s.
My Dad's favorite song. He got me into FNM when I was a toddler. Everytime "Epic" came on tv he'd jam to it. He would get me up and moving to the flow. He's Happy that I still remember that.
To this day, my brother and I believe Slipknot had to have seen Mr.Bungle in the early 90s. Not to many people I would like to chill with, but Mike is definitely one of them. What's sad is it will never happen!!! 😢
Covid did a number on ol' Mike. I'm still never selling the megaphone that i got as a souvenir from the 2nd of FNM's trifecta in SF like 15 years ago when he tossed it into the crowd because it malfunctioned. The alarm sound wouldn't stop and i was told i had to leave the area if i wanted to keep it because it was fucking up the show.
