Play some custom games against AI to learn your various units and their abilities. You can do things like set AI to easy and increase resource gain. Alternatively, if you solely just want to check out the units and their veteracy abilities, you can download CheatCommands Mod II from the Steam Workshop and mess around with the in custom games. After that, I'd look for a Discord or community you can play multiplayer with. Coordinated teams are always better. I'd highly advise 4v4s. The enemy spread tends to be a little easier since there's more people to carry each other. Lastly, be prepared for some insults and toxicity. COH2 can be quite competitive, and the games can take some time to search for and then the matches last for a bit of time. So people can get angry pretty easily at noob players. It'll take you awhile to get used to everything; don't worry about it. Don't get discouraged. You can probably find some people in Skippy's Discord you could play with.
For 1v1 and 2v2s, don't play the germans, play the allies. They are far more forgiving for newer players, especially the soviets. Germans rely on heavy team weapon micro and your ability to keep units alive for veterancy. For 3v3 and 4v4s, there really isn't much skill involved for any side. +40 fuel almost at all times during the match which ultimately turns into tank and artillery spam which isn't very fun.
@@blazzing_fury2425 I either play on normal or hard. Easy is for pussies. winning on the hardest difficulty is a 50/50 with the ai ability to see everything though
@@joethepotato972 I played a 4v4, in the first minute at least 1 player left and I got squashed as the soviets. Like I had no resources to produce anything the entire game.
