No no don’t say that is why we should pray against calamity....... the laws of the state are not working. We have poor security system in Ghana fighting against poor people.... Why don’t we rather work on the laws but rather saying because they didn’t pray against calamity... God knows they are innocent and God knows they did nothing wrong, why didn’t God set them free.... the laws are weak and some are stupid.... God knows all....

When the tardi girls got lost n the police cought that suspect, they said they cant force the suspect to say anything cox he still has his right else whatsoever he says is unacceptable but how come citizens are being treated like this😭
I don't blame Douglas alone. Our justice system is so bad. Criminal cases may have very high sentences so judges would have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that these people were involved in the crime for which they are being punished. What evidence was used to sentence them...was it only Douglas word against them. Judges rush through cases and the police is so incompetent. Our prison is packed with so many innocent people.

At times I wonder, we have educated lawyers who know how other countries see to their justice system but we don't see what they are doing to help such people. People are innocent of various crimes but are in prison. Police officers,please do your work well. Don't be interested in closing a case but find out the very truth. Through wisdom and the help of the Holy Spirit. I suggest that all cases of prisoners be looked into again . Your Execellency, please set up Regional Independent courts to go over people's cases again. It will be strenuous, yes, but you would see that, a lot of people are innocent. And those who are sick,should also be released. All this is not to say that, crime shouldn't be punished. Some sentences are absurd. Trivial crimes like stealing coconut,the offender should be given community service. Please let's check all these. We beg our lawyers and Judicial Authority, please do something. It's disheartening. Also,let's bear our brethren in prison,in prayers.

I don't blame Douglas that much because he took those actions under duress. May God also give the innocent ones a forgiving heart and also pray for God's intervention for the freedom of those innocent ones. Hmmm God have mercy on us
Hmmmm, am not convinced that Mr Douglas is innocent. Is one sided story from the point of view the convicts. I remember this story very well...so if they are claiming innocence then who are the real killers of that innocent doctor? Why are they all being held in the same block, this risky for the culprit and the administration of justice. Those convicted of the offence can collaborate to manipulate an appeal process.
@@Ghanagirl what is your definition of judging? They were sentenced by a competent court of jurisdiction. If you feel so sympathetic to what they said in the interview, it is your right but if you want to know the truth, you can apply for a copy of the judgement and speak to the witnesses.

@@belindaappiagyei7833 knowing Douglas doesn't change the facts of the matter, a hideous crime was committed against an innocent person who did nothing. 70 people were arrested including the queen mother of Atronie, 59 were released without charge, 11 stood trial and 1 person acquitted and discharged. This was a murder trial so they weren't found guilty by a judge but rather a jury in a unanimous verdict..Am not saying an innocent persons should be incarcerated just to serve justice but let us not assume they innocent just because they are saying so....

I pologise for errors sentence and I mean as an innocent person and when ever I found myself in situations where by I am innocent and because parents don't money to support me in the court then I end up become a criminal and it's has happened to so many of the people in the country and I feel it hurtful in my heart and head that I can not sleep.

As a matter of fact I don’t believe what Douglas is saying. I know that town very well. During my time there, the boys in the town were very aggressive sometimes. I was in school in that town in 1979-1981.
I Remember this Atronie incident very well. They killed the Doctor painfully just like how denkyira obuasi killed the late Major mahama. Those guy will rot in jail. I pray the innocent ones too get presidential pardon one day. #SayNo to Mob Justice
So is it that easy to implicate an innocent man!? If the guy said he used a knife, a stone, they have to be able to verify this by the way in which the man actually died . I’m sure they preformed an autopsy to find out the exact cause of death. Are there any detectives in town? Do they do More than just take the word of one man, didn’t any of these men have any alibi . I just can’t believe the justice system is that poor in Ghana. May God have mercy on all of them and their families
