People are totally missing the point of this fight. This is not about 'who is right or wrong" - it is about polar opposites. She has a leftist world view, while he is clearly more leaning to the right in his values. She is outspoken and opinionated while he is closed up. She was raised by a single mother, while he grew up in a traditional family (both parents). She puts up walls to protect herself from getting hurt. Doesn't want to rely on a man to save her (a feminist) while he wants to be her knight in shinning armor. This movie is excellent if you take the time to analyze all of the themes and complex subjects that are hiding in the background of this love story. A picture of modern society and the difficulties the young generation is facing in everyday life, from money, healthcare, peer pressure, family expectations, ...etc.
@@unyieldingmonotony4453I swear u people that swear “its not that deep” are stupid do u think these writers just b writing to write all of it is that deep ur just simple minded
She's beautiful but that aside I side with her views, racism is ignorantly wrong and immoral and no amount of spinning or argument will ever change that
There was a Supreme Court case that ruled they could wear accurate uniforms in movies, but you often see them mess it up anyway to avoid any trouble Stolen valor and all that
@@okami345 Yea, sometimes you'll see ribbons out of order or upside down (As a whole), or pins that arent applicable to other pins (Like an LT wearing the Marksmanship pin he has in the video) to avoid the whole "Impersonating an Officer" issue.
@@AnthonySforza Wait so they aren’t allowed to use official military uniforms? Could they be sued or charged for stolen Valor? That’s really interesting I never thought of that but it makes sense. Just changing 1 or 2 details isn’t a big deal imo but at the same time I doubt most military men & women would be offended to see someone in a movie wearing their uniform. Interesting regardless
@@Spacewalk11 Not to the best of my knoweledge. The laws may have changed, though, I couldnt tell you. Though it wouldn't be "Stolen Valor" So much as Impersonating an Officer that would be the issue. Could explain why these stolen valor guys always seem to be "Enlisted".
No she really isn't. She's right if you've lived in America your entire life and never seen the horrors people in other countries are subjected to. She's right as long as you live somewhere safe. She's wrong if you don't.
@@melodybowen8246 no disrespect, and thank your family for their service. But I'm going to tell you something. As a marine myself who has actually seen action, being adjacent to those who served doesn't mean you understand. Hearing stories about the difficulties people face another countries doesn't mean you understand. The sooner Americans understand that, the sooner they might actually be open to learning.
Actually he was 100% in the wrong. He's the one acting like him and his friends are superior because of the uniform. The uniform doesn't give you an excuse to racist or an asshole, then gaslight your wife.
@@billcrawford1723not really. Theres a time and place to swallow your pride and her getting butthurt over some assholes comments just before he and his unit are shipping off to war isnt the time or place for her to spout her PC bullshit lol
How women live in iraq?! Perfectly fine to me since my greart grandmas were business women when your grandmas used to be men's own property and marriage was a deal between the father and the husband since women don't have the authority to own , when my great grandma used to have the ability to give orders and people would respect her and listen to her and take her words your grandmas were living miserably under men's control, both my grandmas were well educated one of them studied abroad on the hand of Nobel winning professors, she used to speak 5 languages, both had the best sense of fashion and btw they weren't that rich, everyone lived a perfect life that since you guys came it all got ruined. I had the chance to meet real american soldiers back then, the fear on my face was something haunting me for years although they tried to be nice but i didn't buy it, since i can see clearly how my perfect world fell apart. But is it that different from how your own country started?! Discovering someone else's land then get rid of its people, building your own?!
First of all, respect and honor don't come to the conquerors if they are not civilized. Killing and wars are so easy in today's easy reach to weapons in a country like usa, but it is not easy to earn respect from the world where all kinds of people have long learned to live without violence.
Both people have points U derstand each other why. ? Feelings are such. If no wars killings. So many more familys Live happily. We are suppose to listen twice more then we talk. Why we have 2 👂 👂 one mouth 👄
What a 🐝 itch!!!! When it came down to it, he stood strong took the bullet and she just watched and let him ROT!!! What a horrible ending… could have been so much better… was a 8-9 rating out of 10 before the ending… now it’s a 6-7. I don’t like movies that glorify 🐝 itches…
Cassie could have taken on her role in this pretend marriage with more commitment, by laying low and behaving more like a new bride with her head in the clouds.
Marines that are about to be deployed take orders, and try to prepare themselves for hell. At that point, their women should just be supportive, or shut the hell up.
I’ve seen a number of those clips. She seems difficult and obnoxious. I definitely wouldn’t marry her. This guy also seems to be a masochist tolerating all this drama.
He’s gay. She needs a green card. He doesn’t want his dad to know he’s one of the few, the proud, the Queens. She wants to stay. Will their sham marriage work? Context.
