You do realize I’m not wearing the sweatshirt right? What my friends father wears doesn’t shed any light on my politics one way or another, this is a cooking channel
Oh come on! Why does everyone have to be so petty nowadays? You’re seriously trying to hold Will accountable for the decisions the people around him make? This is a cooking channel that shines light on sustainable harvesting of natures resources. Why don’t we praise him for all the good he does and not condemn him for the decisions of others. Peace to everyone reading this!
I hope that anyone reading or liking this comment knows one thing about me, I have an open mind and share space with people from all walks of life regardless of if our views align or not. If we can have an intelligent civil conversation I’m happy to hear your opinions. Acceptance is how we find unity and understanding. Do I agree with hate? No. Not from any side. Again, this channel will remain focused on cooking.
You had me with all the colors in the sky reflecting on the water, absolutely beautiful day to be out fishing. The meal looks absolutely delicious and perfect for a Fall evening. Hello to Mama Clams, glad she's okay. Have a wonderful week Will!
Since living abroad I’ve been fortunate to visit many wonderful cities/countries, one being Marseilles, where we had the famous bouillabaisse, as we overlooked the beautiful harbour. However, I would be happier to be eating with you and Mama Clams. That rouelle looked amazing. Thanks for the recipe. It’s the simple, fresh ingredients that make it so tasty!
Great video Will! As you know, I comment on all of your videos, as I love your channel for what it is, adventures around some form of foraging, fishing for food that always ends in an amazing display of food. What an amazing bowl of soup. I also love Mama Clams. Keep being you and things will come. Thanks for sharing!!!
Another amazing meal ! The roasted red bell pepper based spread looked to die for ! You speak about Julia Childs but very few younger people have any understanding of how influential she was on everyday middle class cooking in America. Back in the sixties , seventies , and into the eighties she was everywhere . Her cookbooks were in just about every kitchen. I remember my mom perusing through her cookbooks and getting inspired to cook something special and different.
I grew up watching her and Jacques pepin. I think my father had every Julia child cookbook and I would occasionally thumb through them looking at recipes. What’s funny is that they were so complicated. I stayed away from them.
Let the victims be victims Will. I never even noticed the sweatshirt until I read the comment, I had to go back and watch it again. I guess I didn't notice because I was watching an awesome dude catching fish and another dude netting the fish. I don't speed time trying to find a way to become a victim. You Rock Will and that was a STUD Sea Bass Micky C
Julia Child would have repeatedly slapped the fish as she prepared them, lol. I remember watching her series on Maine PBS decades ago. She would also have been drinking a fair bit of wine in the process.
Years ago we were fishing for Stripers and had caught quite a few, one of the rookies on the boat hooked into a big bluefish and tried to thumb lip him into the boat like a striper. Boy did he learn a life lesson. LOL
Nice sea bass Will! Got me itching to go fishing. I finally bought a new boat. I still have my waverunner and still plan to fish off of it but I needed another boat. Next time I make it down to the keys we should go fishing. I'd like to hook into some KW sized mangroves.
If I could have one wish come true it would be to sit at your table and have a meal with you!! But Will, are you spending the winter in New York? If so, why? Do you just want to be home for the winter or something else? Another great video and recipe.❤😊
I’m a partner/owner of a restaurant here in Brooklyn and spending time with my family. I’ve always gone back and forth between nyc and KW. I’ve just been making more videos here this year
Those Bluefish of yours here in Australia we call them Tailor or Choppers , Choppers for the obvious reason with those sharp teeth which will take a chunk out of your finger if you’re not careful. We catch them on shiny metal lures and medium sized stick bait lures all retrieved fast
You have bluefish in Australia? I thought they were only found in the Atlantic ocean. The only reason there are striped bass on the West Coast of America is because they were intentionally transported there by railroad and released in San Francisco Bay, a hundred or so years ago.
@@goodun2974 Bluefish, Tailor as we call them here in Australia are not just found in the Atlantic Ocean they are found here in both oceans on either side of Australia in quite large schools and usually in the colder waters
You definitely did Julia Child proud. Glad Mama Clams rallied! PS I finally figured out who Mike reminded me of. He could be Gus Grissom's twin brother...separated by quite a few decades.
Fantastic video bro we call blue fish Taylor here in Western Australia and they are good eating everyone eats them in Western Australia i don't know why alot of people in the states don't eat them thanks for the video bro and I will see you in the next one 👌
They are borderline hated here. The meat does spoil faster than other fish. Most people that hate them here are buying them at a market. At that point the meat is definitely subpar
@@CookingWithClams , As a teenager my brother and I would catch bluefish during the early day and fillet them right away, and then sell the fillets to the restaurant where we worked in the afternoon and evening doing food prep and washing dishes. Everybody was very happy with the arrangement!
Smoked bluefish is IMHO the best way to eat bluefish ----- it's actually something you can enjoy! Never had it as an ingredient in a party dip, however....
Great video Will, hey my Dad n I always used to fish for bluefish so I might be biased but they aren't the trash fish some think. Especially the little ones you gotta try one of the little snapper blues the meat is even tastier. Cheers!
@@CookingWithClams OMG, I can’t believe what I read and that you have to put up with people like that. Anyone that jumps to conclusions like that needs to look in the mirror. You are the nicest guy and I can’t wait to meet you in NY next April and introduce you to my family.
Love watching you. Do you have any simple flavorful recipes for Grunts. I go on party boats in Clearwater Fl and I'm running out of things to do with them.
@@CookingWithClams ah you know my grand ma' was cooking with that! and unless you were living on the coast, back in the days this was the only salt on all french tables :)
You know I paid 155 dollars to catch blackfish and sea bass and got only short sea bass. Not the boats fault. They were on spot and great bait. Just unlucky. Thanks for sharing the recipie
@@CookingWithClams that was supposed to say SEABASS but I talking to this phone and the TV was on and it caught that word. I guess great show you’re getting better and better.
I fish the Li sound as well. Dumb question i see many people scale the fish them take the skin off anyway.. whays the point? If we dont plan on leaving the skin on. We always fillet the take the skin off without taking the scales off. Your making extra steps that you dont need to do. The scales can be wiped of the meat but you dont get many on there just wipe the knife.
I honestly had no idea this sweatshirt was gonna get this much attention. Joe even said “I’m probably gonna get you canceled wearing this but it’s my lucky sweatshirt”
Red hats, and sweatshirts like that, generally warn me who to consider avoiding. They're entitled to their opinion, as I am entitled to mine, but I draw the line at public displays of profanity, such as others in my eastern CT neighborhood who fly gigantic flags with the F-word spelled out in full in their front yard for all to see. Is that really the type of example they want to set for their children and grandchildren? Every single such profane sign or flag I've seen around here is in favor of the greedy, selfish, bigoted NYC developer. What adults say to other adults behind closed doors is one thing, but public profanity is indicative of people who cannot form a coherent fact-based argument and must resort to schoolyard-bully language because it's all they've got. I don't like the message that this teaches to children and young adults.
