dude, seriously? who ends an anime right when they start a gathering quest? but then again, im a little reminded of the end of that mlp comic where king sombra and his gf decide to look for pieces of a princess that he killed
Anime like this keep the medium from going too dark tbh sure this anime may have dark tones to it but with a op ass protagonist it just turns everything into a light comedy and that give a nice breather for all the lore heavy anime’s too
It also helps when shows like these have some reason for the op protagonist to npt steamroll everything. Like in Misfit of Demon King Academy, the main character is trying to build a better world so him just flexing on everyone and subjugating them doesn't work. In this case it seems like season 1 mostly has him popping off, but now his objective requires him to get the willing cooperation of sages. He can't just insta kill them to get what he wants.
@@caydensunday3204I think the restriction is more self imposed. For example he killed the people monitoring him and took down the guy that the sage lady liked
@@caydensunday3204He only detects killing intent and can then easily use his ability remotely. He can still activate the instant death whenever he wants.
Not as boring as you would think but still kinda hard to get invested in protagonist since he can just insta kill everything so he’s never in any danger. Maybe if his abilities had limitations like the death note it would be more interesting. Most of the fun of the show were the other characters like the robot chick seeking revenge.
Clearly his restriction is that all he can do is "kill" things (and detect killing intent). His new objective at the end means he can't just kill things to reach his goals.
@@xdragoonzero0 He can also incapacitate by just “killing” a limb like he just “killed” the eyes of that one thug. I don’t see how that restricts him. I compared it to death note cause Light could just kill people that get in his way but he has to know who they are. It made it interesting to watch because of the limits on his ability. In contrast this protagonist can insta kill anyone as soon as he senses murder intent without effort and seemingly without limitations as no one has been able to resist or put any sort of fight against him. Basically zero stakes and fights end before they start.
@@xdragoonzero0That honestly is not a limitation. He only kills those with a killing intent when he WANTS to. He is killing physics. Basically he is boring. The effect of others trying to just do stupid stuff is the only almost interesting thing. It is worth the 2 hours not the full series.
Yorgiri is (my theory) a Reincarnation of the god of death, Tomo has a spirit guide, Ayaki is basically an Android, but last kid what abilities he have that blocked the battle song?
Almost interesting as I was hoping to see someone that could challenge him or understand him and not just cower and fear him. And he has three powers - the third power is the ability to trace who wanted to kill him. That said a lot of this was broken. Not the most powerful protagonist possible but just broken enough to make it powerful. I guess this was meant to be wish fulfillment because there was no cleverness to it. (For example thre if the students should not have gotten off that did and killing the cats and physics was technically beyond his powers/moral but let’s just ignore that kind of thing) Still thanks for the recap. Saved me time.
