Keep up the good work crank! A lot of Nigerians don’t enjoy driving experience because their minds have been tuned to always driving a Toyota car.. I am currently driving a Mercedes’ Benz c300 2013 as my 2nd car. I used to drive a Peugeot 406 before and all I can say is I am never buying a Toyota saloon car with my money. If I want to go economical then I will buy a Honda Accord. Period

I appreciate this video, it’s the same everywhere even in Ghana. People run away from bmw but honestly it’s one of the best cars ever in terms of driving dynamics. I like bmw because most parts are cheap in Ghana compared to the so called reliable Honda and Toyota. Every car is reliable depending on the owner. I dnt think a car maker will intentionally make unreliable cars. Bmw and most performance cars break quickly due to the pressure most owners subject them to ie drifting, burnouts , drag races etc most Toyotas and Hondas dnt go thru that because Dey are not built for that and the technology in those cars are simple to run and not sophisticated like the Germans. The Japanese like to keep it safe while the Germans like to push it to the limit. For me BMWs, Mercs and VWs are the best cars ever made. My opinion
Even for another 10yrs. This car will still be faster than a lot of new cars today. Best car to buy without regret. But please make sure you get the N55 engine, just to be on the safe side.
I drive the e83 x3 and I can tell you it drives better than many sedans. They are very well made with bullet proof engines and gearbox. What to note is they have very narrow tolerance levels. Keep all governing systems (oil, coolant) working as specified and the engine and gearbox never goes bad
Can you please do a Compare this with camery... Cause honestly speaking we Nigerians are becoming camery and corolla addict...like that car is everywhere in every state 😂😂
the 318 is a performance Corolla bcos it's super economical like Corolla yet performs 100 times better. as a matter of fact the spare parts is comparably cheaper
@@mikelo_GIL you're correct my Gee I currently use this mine is 2009 with an upgraded dashboard.. yes I have a lovely screen.. 😍 It tells you practically everything that goes on with the car infotainmently it's awe really and very durable
@@feranmiadeniji7488 that's the issue it boils down too personal preference If you stay in Lagos trust me u get parts cheaply easily and effortlessly... parts are very affordable some parts even cheaper than camrys corrolas and others But I have too order which I get the next day without issues One of the major reason we all think it's expensive boils than too the mechanics you use they see a bmw and they think it's time for rip off That's if you meet a bad one that causes more damage to it lol 😆 I'm speaking from experience 😌 You need parts I buy directly from the dealers and yes I'm not in Lagos but I get my parts before 11am the next day
@@feranmiadeniji7488 once you get the good parts for your BMW it's going to last a very long time. because German cars are to last. about the plastics the best way to maintain from breaking and cracking is to avoid parking under the sun with your window fully up
An amazing car. Been using the 328xi six speed manual AWD for over eight years now. Parts and fixing can be expensive and till date our mechanics aren't very familiar with fixing the car. Mechanics gave me more problems than the car itself. But regardless, its still the best drive and I intend to keep it for a very long time. Once you start loving and driving this beemer, it becomes like a hobby you can't get enough of. Driven newer models and they still don't give me the smoothness the E90 provides. Dem really finish work for this car.
water pump 400k, for a car below 2010, my cars water pump is around 25k , new one. BMW dealt with me first hand , it will never be my first choice . im even considering a porshe b4 bmw

Wait till more Nigerians get the G20 models. Even the regular 330i with the M Sport package rocks. However, let’s be honest, overall, BMWs are a headache when they breakdown. High maintenance galore 😂
I loved the e90 I bought it twice🥰. But the price mentioned here isn't possible at all. I bought my last e90 around 3m in 2019 and sold for 2.4m in pristine condition in 2021. Now add the dollar rate and clearing of cars, an e90 can never be 2.5m - 3m.

I sold my E60 in 2017 far above the price I got it back in Abuja. As long as you're aren't selling a dead car

@@Johnlondon54 the back sits are not for very tall people. That's why its a sport SUV. LAMBOGINI URUS is also the same thing its back sit head room isn't that high.
One thing I do not like about this car is the i-drive, you said it's better like this but I guess we all have our preferences. It's either I get a third party screen installed on it or save enough for an f30, would like you to review (either f30 or e90) 335i as people say that is a turbo i6 so repairs are different and hard for mechs, what's your take on that. Would love to hear from you
I didnt finish this video before I typed this, you mentioned the 335i 😂 It's the sweet spot for me, any i6/v6 that produces around 300hp, come to me babyyyyyyyyyyyy
This was my first car and my daily driver , I can tell you for facts, the car is sweet... Drive is superb... Once you drive it you fall in love ... The only thing is that you need a good BMW mechanic too cos it's not a car that just anyone can mess with.

Nobody, I repeat, nobody should own a BMW or even any European car without at least having a basic OBD reader that sells for less than 10k these days. You will save yourself a LOT upfront if you make this decision early. You can fix seemingly complex problems in modules like the DME just by clearing error codes. Ordinarily, DME problems are the kind that will lead you to be towing your car from one kazeem to another because these guys don't do diagnostics at all. This particular machine as Crank has rightly said is a unicorn here in Nigeria, but it gives you the most pleasurable driving experience. The steering feedback, the brakes the suspension articulation and compliance is not something words will explain. You just have to drive one to understand. Great content as always Crank!
Clearing error codes is NOT a way to fix problems. It hides them only to resurface later when they have become more serious… your post is good but this statement is misleading
@@OzSaudarna I would partially agree with you but let me explain where your assertion is not always the case. Just as my statement connotes, I said "you CAN fix seemingly complex problems in modules like the DME just by clearing error codes". Anyone who is familiar with diagnosis on car brands like BMW, AUDI, Peugeot, Renault, Citroën and Mercedes will have a clue of what I meant. Error codes can set in a module when connectors have been disconnected and reconnected. A simple spark plugs replacement can cause a mechanic to disconnect myriads of connectors. Even after reconnection, some modules will still keep error codes in freeze frame data and run the car based on that stored logic. This can result in performance problems like rough idling, throttle hesitation and so on. In this type of scenario, clearing of error codes can work wonders. I have seen a car go into a car wash only to come out with no throttle response. This one was a lexus rx330. I scanned the car, cleared the codes and that was all. It is true that error codes are supposed to guide a mechanic and lead him to where the problem is, and that's my thought process when I'm on a job. But I've also experienced a good number of times when I clear error codes so I could see which ones will come back only to find that the problem was solved. The kind of repairs we call "ghost" repairs. I'm hoping that my message is clear now.
Yeah that’s my car, indeed a good car. Bought a Nigerian used for 1.2Mil late 2021, was the best decision ever coz everybody was saying o should go for a Corolla 2005 which was over 2M. If properly maintained you no go get any problem at all.
