Tigress see if you can get an interview with a noble inventor by the Maxwell Chikumbutso. He is the electricity giant of the 21st century and the talk about in power generation sector of the entire world today, he invented an electricity generating machine that uses radio frequency, he also invented an electric car that needs no external charging, in asual fact the car will power the owner's house after a long day drive. CNN and other western media are pretending has if this brother that have deferred the law of energy does not exist. I believe if you are lucky to get hold of him it will definitely boost this channel and open our young ones eyes that anything is possible. Wish you luck Sis
Thank you for showcasing us African Tigress. You 'independent' (not the ones sponsored by NGOs and governments) African RU-vidrs are the new media. The only media we take seriously. I salute you!
it's important to remember that the many similarities between Kenyans and Zim people is beyond being colonized by the same people...check our languages, looks, mannerisms, environment, etc . . . don't give all credit to colonialism there is much more that's uniting us . . .
"colonised" is a trigger word. What if you were told that that area was "colonised" before anyone sailed to Africa in a boat. And those colonisers displaced the Khoi-san.
@@grumpysod9029 colonize is a triggering word for those who don’t want to remember how their ancestors that are not indigenous to this continent came and subjugated the indigenous Africans.
Zimbabwe is a nice place with a good vibe and friendly people. It’s poor reputation is absolutely wrong and more tourists should visit Zim. I fell in love with the country and wish I could live there. Probably my favourite country and I’ve been to or lived in about 40 in my life. I made genuine friends who I got to know well in the time I spent in their community. I was fortunate enough to spend a few days in a traditional village an hour north of Harare with my friend, his wife and children. I followed their example and lived the traditional way. Never have I learned so much. They really treated me like part of the family and the entire community made me feel more accepted than I ever have felt in my life. The rest of the time I spent in Harare, Bulawayo and Vic Falls. Spent a month there in 2019. If I had believed the western media I probably wouldn’t have gone there. People don’t know what they’re missing if they never see Zimbabwe. There’s just an intangible beauty to Zimbabwe, the landscape, the jacarandas, the soul. Despite the hardships and injustice of the past, the locals buzz with positive uplifting energy and its infectious. Life is richer and more real. Less fake and sanitized. More visceral. I felt at peace. The colours are more vivid and people more grounded than in the sanitised and materialistic west. Victoria Falls penetrated me like nothing else but there’s so much more to Zimbabwe than that. I enjoyed eating saizda (the staple meal) the traditional way and the unique local beer went down well. Its my dream to buy a house and set up a free school in Harare for the kids who otherwise wouldn’t have an opportunity to fulfil their potential. It’s something good I can do, a small difference I can make. I just don’t know how I could get that kind of money. That’s been my dream since I left Zimbabwe in 2019. Time will tell if I ever fulfil my ambition. I’m not sure if my wife is willing to move there even if we can afford it. I want her to absorb the country with me. Sometimes you just know where you’re meant to be and for me it’s Zimbabwe,
@@wizziestembiso6329 Yes. The locals in Zimbabwe the friendliest most accepting people of all the countries I have visited. If you show respect for the country and the culture and want to learn they will embrace you as one of their own. I wish I had a chance to stay longer than a month and hope to go back one day. Maybe to live if I can.
I like your host. Dignified , very well spoken , full of life. I have 3 Zim friends here in the US. Same spirit as the dude above. Very similar to us Kenyans ..Much love 🇰🇪
As a Zimbabwean who once lived in Kenya, I really appreciate this video. Love both countries. Well done guys for a great video and Mr Zim really has his facts on point. I knew he was going to take her to the mirror gate house in Mt pleasant heights. That house should become a national monument lol.
Wow! What a beautiful and spacious country Zimbabwe is. I was looking at the roads that they don't have potholes. I can tell you this is far better than my country Swaziland and puts many countries to shame. I'm sure many South Africans can be amazed to see such beauty, space and cleanliness. Zimbabwe has a bright future only if the country can have good leadership. Now i see Africa is truly rich and blessed. We just have to change our mindsets and desire to make a change for our generations, make them aware that Africa is theirs not to be sold to Europe, Asia or any foreign influence. My fellow Africans, we are truly blessed with this beautiful country. May God bless us all.
Zimbabwe has always been a beautiful country. Towns & cities were well designed but Zimbabweans still build better even today. I wish you had also seen a pre sanctions Zimbabwe which those of us from neighbouring countries admired. That was when we called Harare as a mini London in Africa.
Corruption is too too much in Zim nowonder why we ur having these exorbitant prizes on Residential Stands that shuld have been affordable to almost an ordinary working Zimbabwean...
Old Borrowdale is the best 😀. These new houses which are being built now look like Lagos mansions, tacky if l may say. Colonial bungalows are 👌👌. Pomona is not new, it has always been there from way back.
Same here. Totally agree. Love the olden style. Even the colonial style homes and buildings in Zim with the wooden windows and shutters look so sleek and majestic. These new houses look kinda tacky inside and out.
Thank you for showing us some parts of Zimbabwe. I just want to remind people not to be shallow minded. This is part of Harare in the Capital city hence the land is expensive. There are other places which are cheaper and beautiful just the same as the once you have seen in provinces like Gweru, Masvingo, Mutare, Bulawayo etc. That was just a tip of an iceberg in a good way.
You are correct. I have been to Maseru in Lesotho (Thetsane West - Lesia) for instance. It is a joke. Million Dollar houses surrounded by shacks and cheap concrete one room structures. The children from those shacks 'literally' shit all over the higher income neighbourhoods. They hide in the bushes and poop and do drugs there. The city planner/urban planning office should all be fired and the government under who this happened should be utterly ashamed of themselves. Africans don't always needs Europeans and Chinese to make a messy, sometimes all it takes is our own laziness and stupidity.
Thank you for visiting our beautiful country Zimbabwe and showcasing it so well and so objectively. As an African in the diaspora I appreciate this fresh and unbiased media like you African Tigress so much. You African youtubers are the not just the future, but our best present reality. Thank you.🙏🏾
You two sound like people who have known each other for a very long time. The vibe is 🔥🔥.... And our brother sounds like a very humble man.... God bless ❤️
Please visit Victoria Falls before you leave! You will never forget that experience! Great video once again! Thank you for shining a positive light on our beloved country.
I just saw our family home in this video at 22.12 minutes. I am "out there" far from home and this made me homesick. We used to climb the trees when we were younger.
This is so beautifully presented and I thank both you and Mr Zim. It has provided me with so much thought and I need to write this down. Harari is in two parts, the part you presented... and the other Harari. This is as it has always been except fifty years ago Borrowdale, Mt Pleasant etc were colonials living exactly like the Zimbabweans are living now. High walls, beautiful gardens, tidy protected streets, big houses. Do you understand what I am saying... ??
💃💃💃💃 the excitement when i see this kind of videos. The way i love this country. I am waiting to come there soon before corona u was attending church there every Sunday because Kasane Botswana and Victoria falls is just a stone away
As a young African who grew up with a dream, this video just revoked my dream to change my village Africa. Maybe there is something I can do after all.
I remember in 1998 , when USA came for a Davies Cup tennis match. Andre Agassi , the then World number 2 was surprised to see an airport and roads worse still an all weather Tennis Court. Yes the picture of Africa that is portrayed is a lie. Thank you for this, Africans telling our own story.
Exactly. We were given the impression that Zimbabwe was a land of impossibility. That's why we laud the efforts and contributions of the African youtubers in bringing us these facts.
It's such a blessing for u to visit Zim.🇿🇼 my sister and have Mr Zim showing u around .. Also visit Vic Falls or Kariba.. You will love it more n more. Enjoy your tours.. Watching u from Oxford UK 🇬🇧
Was telling someone it’s hard to tell apart a Zimbabwean and a Kenyan just from their speech. Our accents are very similar. Also the buildings in Harare, resemble alot those in Nairobi. We have so much in common that we need to dig deeper
Oh but the accents are distinctly different. I can tell one is Kenyan in a hearbeat just by their accent. We resemble each other in a lot of things but the accent
We don't have similar accents. When a Kenyan is talking you can definitely tell which isn't a bad thing by the way. Kenyans and Ugandans yeah u sound the same but not with us Zimbabweans.
I think u were trying to say the language's are similar but not accents because you're in East Africa and we're Southern so there's no way in heaven we're going to have similar accents.
Thanks guys, you’re doing a great job. We need to see the good side of Zimbabwe, not just the bad. Western world does show their good side 99% of the time! But doesn’t mean there’s no poor side of things. Waibata?
Exactly! They portray themselves with dignity on media. No country is perfect but Western countries consistently strive to show their best parts. We should also learn to showcase our good side.
Great job Mr Zim. You should consider starting your own travel blog. I was hoping you'd take her to the Brooke and show some popular landmarks in each suburb such as Sam Levi village and UZ etc and a history of the suburbs but great job to both of you. Im glad African Tigress is loving Zim. Hopefully you will go to other areas outside Harare.
Special thanks to you guys for the tour of our beautiful country Zim. This makes other people out there understand us better and know more about your country. I think the two of you need to travel together. You are a good combination . Keep it up
Zim has some of the best town planning in Southern Africa. I say this w/o having gone to the other countries other than SA and Botswana 😂😂😂but I know just know.
Thank you for visiting us and marketing us, our problems why pple outside dont think they r good great things in Zimbabwe is bcoz of toxic politics and those who demonise Zimbabwe for political malige using social media platforms
You are Very Good At leaning new languages the way you speak Shona even your tone one would think you are Shona 🤣 Thanks a million for the love and excellent reviews of our country You are officially Zimbabwean in my books this is your Home too.
Thanks African Tigress for this amazing video....The lot/land sizes here in the Philippines r so tiny, the hse fills the whole compound...the average size is 100sq metres barely enough...I envy the lot sizes in Africa and want to come back home....anyone offering me a job as a Sales Executive and I'll come home to Africa asap....Keep it up folks
Zimbabwe was beautiful than what it is now. It’s unbelievable the state of Mt Pleasant now. Bulawayo, Harare ,Mutare and all other small towns were so beautiful, with beautiful roads with no potholes and beautiful flowers 💐 along highway roads. Of course the age of the guy showing Tigress around Harare is fairly young and wouldn’t know a better Zimbabwe 🇿🇼. Millennium generations don’t know any better Zimbabwe except the present. However Zimbabwe is still hanging on to a good infrastructure. Something has to be done now to rebuild the country and revamp the infrastructure. Zimbabwe should have gone far on development if only it wasn’t destroyed by selfish and greedy people. Just saying!
True, given the enormous mineral wealth of Zimbabwe,it must be the most advanced nation in Africa, but sadly its fallen behind the pace. The country has very bad leadership resulting in Looting of Minerals and losing billions of dollars every year due to bad governance and extreme corruption from the Regime.People are having to mortgage their houses just to pay school fees. The Zimbabwe that we grew up in was not like this, houses were affordable, roads were maintained and food was cheap, now everything is expensive that only the rich ruling Elites live in luxury while the Middle class has shrunk to nothing.
@@mo_ink1452 If it was not for the rampant corruption by the Zanu PF regime,Zimbabwe would be having the most advanced infrastructure in Africa.Zimbabwe has so much mineral wealth but the Looting, gold smuggling, neglect, cronyism etc has set back the Country badly. To sum it up,Zimbabwe suffers from poor leadership.A progressive Leader will propel Zimbabwe to its full potential in no time.
Zim is still beautiful.Well or me it is. All the roads are being repaired. Watch Mr Zim's youtube channel intead of being negative, be grateful instead of going into politics of who sole what or should develop what
Tell us what they say about Zimbabwe out there...I know that most of those sorry/ negative narratives were given by the Zimbabwean asylum seekers inorder to enter EU nations.
maybe you should also visit Makokoba,Mkoba,Mbare and Chitungwiza thats where the majority of people live. Zimbabwe is beautiful no doubt, very beautiful country indeed.its the politics affecting us. The majority of Zimbabweans are wallowing in abject poverty. Mt pleasant heights,Borrowdale and Pomona thats where the elite, the well heeled of society. The struggle of Zimbabwe is in the ghetto where the majority of us live..I wont mention the rural areas.
Massive, bland concrete structures were made popular first by the USSR and associated groups. I think that type of architecture exemplifies their top-down, one size fits all, dehumanizing society.
@@AFRICANTIGRESS You have our eyes and support on you. And can't thank you enough, we keep sharing, commenting, and liking, this is our Africa, and we shall love it and support. Blessed. More Videos please!!!!!
Very good to promote your country so proud of you guys. It's the better way to celebrate your beautiful Zim.. Yeah Media are lying to the world. Wow!!👍
Gorgeous, sexy, intelligent beautiful black woman. We need more like you across the continent. You guys are taking Africa to a different level. Julius Nyerere, Robert Mugabe, Nelson Mandela, Jomo Kenyatta and all the founding fathers of Africa would be so proud of the positive Pan-African work you are doing while having fun in the process...Stay blessed Sister
Our country our Zimbabwe will always be beautiful irregardless if sanctions or what negative messages,,,,, Zimbabwe is a peaceful country with beautiful people, loving and caring for each other, God Bless Zimbabwe, there is more apart from Harare, Harare is the tip of the iceberg to the beautiful Zimbabwe
Borrowdale is the most affluent residential place in whole of Zimbabwe, its where the super rich and ruling elite live. But If you go to Highfields,Mbare,Glen View etc then you will see the other side of Zimbabwe.
The houses in Pomona and new Mt.Pleasant heights are big, beautiful and top class! Not yet mature neighborhoods, but once they are! Best believe that they will be more awesome than they already are! I also learned a new word 'sukuma wiki'😀, thank you so much Mr Zim & African Tigress!!
Great video reminding me of my childhood, growing up in Mount Pleasant and going to school in Borrowdale. Did you know that the tiger is an Asian animal, they do not exist in Africa?
Your tour guide speaks English excellence...Zimbabwe is beautiful I did enjoyed this video...why media always show the worse part of a country why not show both gives the world an insight of a country 🥰❤💯
Man I would luv to come there from America and feel the roots of the continent threw my bones just to enjoy the most beautiful SHEBREW sista & Hebrew brothas space in the same breath of life and build with them on knowledge power and respect for the Earth
What we are not told is that this is where all the politicians stay. Borrowdale is the best suburb in Zimbabwe, and home to Cde Mugabe and his cronies, and Mt Pleasant and Mt Pleasant Heights are the best suburbs in Harare. Most of the country is poor so the difference between the rich and poor is incredibly stark because there is no middle class - they were wiped out during the hyperinflation years. So when we watch this, bear in mind that less than 1% of the population has this life. Having been to Nairobi, the case is similar. It is a pattern I have seen throughout Africa.
True but Zim has many neighborhoods. High and low density to cater for all incomes but most Zimbabweans actually live in their own houses. There are no shanty towns in Zim. The biggest problem is running water, sanitation and electricity bc of corruption and rotting infrusture.
@A simple guy Just simple yes a lot of people in rural areas have solar and boreholes..u can get free land in rural areas if you're a Zimbabwean..some rural areas in Harare are 30mins drive away from the CBD
Oh,beautiful Zimbabwe 😃...thank you for showing what most media don't want people to know...there are so many suburbs that are so nice that you didn't include,i guess next time 😁
Beautiful but can the average person live there? What types of jobs are available there in order to rent or buy in those beautiful areas? Here in Southern California so many beautiful homes in great neighborhoods but I can’t afford to live there either! Glad to see the nice areas there. Thank you
Those houses are being build by Zimbabweans working in Diaspora, otherwise wages are not good to afford them.Zimbabwe also has its rich elite class who can afford such homes,so its a combination of Diasporans and rich local elites who live in Borrowdale,Mt Pleasant,Arundale,Grange,Chisipite etc. When I was a teenager I used to date a girl who lived in Chisipite,it was the first area to have neighborhood watch security in 1993,it was fun times.Roads were done well,we used to dine out at an exclusive place called Steers,it was the most Posh place in the entire Country back in 1995.Youths would go there for dates wearing the latest Nike sneakers or Reebock gear,it was fun times in early 90s New Jack swing era.I miss Zimbabwe so much,I can't wait to relocate back, the West has been okay for me but nothing beats being home.
Speaking of Jobs,if you are specialized in Aviation,Mining,Medicine,Pharmacy,Oil and Gas Industry then there is jobs available in those fields and they can pay well.If you can open your own pharmacy or Charter/Logistics Company, you will be laughing all the way to the you know what.Hope that helps.
i live in zimbabwe close to this city its not all that expensive one can rent even nice cottages from about $150 USD to $500 you just have to choose according to your income life is good here
I would consider these middle/upper middle class neighborhoods . Typically they are owned by doctors, business owners, insurance professionals, expats working for MNCs and NGOs. Houses here are cheaper than the US, you would pay probably half the price here.
Zim has been a tourist destination and hotspot for many decades before the government went all stuffed it all up. The infrastructure is there, the money is not though.
Properties in Zimbabwe are generally very expensive. Something needs to be done because I think these figures are a reflection of the real estate industry monopoly.
