a neat trick to help grain cart operator take either color masking tape or can of spray paint to mark where to start loading with arrows pointing direction to proceed. Helpful to operators that are green yet in learning process.

How many bushels of grain storage bins do you have? Do you have a grain dryer? Have a good harvest.

We've got an Elmer's grain cart. 1700 bushel when you turn the PTO off stand the augur Street up while it's slowing down. As soon as the auger stops double click the fold button you won't lose no. That way there's no forgetting to put it down auger being on the right side can be a hard on the wallet. Thanks for sharing with us

Thanks again for another excellent video from this RU-vid geeker and many others. Nice long straight rows would be an ideal place to dump into the trucks on the go instead of running back and forth with tractors and gain carts to trucks. Less tractor operators and maybe none. Less augering of grain means less fines in the grain. A semi truck with 18 wheels or 22 wheels, (triple axled trailer) means less ground compaction on the ground than 10 wheels on a tractor and grain cart. Unloading into trucks on the go while harvesting is done successfuly for some other crops. With GPS guidance, the unload auger spout could be tracking the centerline of the truck while dumping the grain and the truck could be auto steered in sync with the combine to maintain the required distance and speed from the combines header and unloading auger. Try it.

We have ran a grain cart since 2006. Makes harvest so much more productive. We used to take box trucks in the field and unload on the go before that.

I notice most of the tractors, combines and construction equipment have the windshield wiper in the operators view, not a big deal, except this would be annoying to stare around and thru for 12-14 hours a day, couldn't an engineer develop an out of view mode, using an electric motor for when the wiper is not in use to fold it and move it up and out of the operator's vision ? Seems like this would be an obvious and simple enhancement for a $1M piece of equipment.

Subsidies are named that because the government subsidizes for bringing the market down from fair trade prices. Also, 80% of the farm bill goes to SNAPs so there’s that. And, to where any farmer would be without government subsidies… still working our butts off and making a living. (By the way, our farm hasn’t taken government subsidies since we broke off from the “family” farm.)
