The thing I find funny about the images of the looted LEGO store is the key chain shelves were completely untouched

I did a lot of bad things during the first order but they all don’t match up to this

This hits close for me, as flatiron is my store that I go to all the time, it’s shocking to me that something like this could happen to a place that seemed so happy

The guy at the Target got his priorities straight. I've been to the Flatiron store when it first opened, they were building a huge Statue of Liberty at the park next door. Sad to see it like that

I’ve been denied by Rakutten and the LEGO affiliate program too. Police products go back to the 60s. Set 271. I too thought that email is fake about not linking to police sets and I do not know why they would do that. I was at the Flat Iron and Rockefeller Center stores in February. It’s a shame that property is damaged in a time like this. People are stupid. Is there more good than bad people? I don’t know. But I do know that God is not partial. Be excellent to each other.

I was in that LEGO Store in NYC for my birthday last year and I recently moved upstate so I'm glad I'm not anywhere near that place or in NYC at all! It's hell down there.

It feels weird to see both those NY LEGO stores being looted. In December 2019, I went on a trip to NY and went to both of those stores. It’s weird to think that if I went like a month or two later, I could have seen this. Feels bad man.

Thanks for posting Ryan, always welcome to see a (relatively) calmer voice compared to some of the rants people posted the last several days (on all sides). Good to see Lego is getting involved in a positive way while trying to be careful about their approach. Not everyone is a thug or a racist, but those who are need to be identified as such and brought to justice. We do need to better educate ourselves and younger generations, because that's where it all starts. And some of these looters (possibly including some of those who raided the Flat Iron store) have absolutely nothing to do with the protests - they are just opportunists. We are hearing about this in some areas here in Philly. And nothing good can come of this if/when they're doing this to their own neighborhoods and then realize later..."um, damn, where am I going to be able to get such-and-such now, Target and the drugstores and supermarkets are all trashed? I'm SOL!"

You did an excellent job on this video Ryan. Very mature & very well done! I agree that it was great of them to donate $4M but terrible for them to pull the advertising of any set with a 1st responder in it. Even worse if they actually pull the sets. Something needs to be done with the police in our country & around the world. Here we need to encourage & support the good cops to help force out the 20-30% of their ranks that are high risk or flat out bad actors. They know who they are for the most part I'm sure! Police the police but we still need to show them support & be strong for them for a change! We also need to show support for the black communities as well & highly discourage looting & rioting. Peaceful protests are the best way to get this done!

What LEGO asked - and is in their clarification - is that their affiliates don't run *any* LEGO ads on Tuesday because they were stopping their marketing as well that day. So it's highly unlikely that they sent a list of sets. It was likely created by someone else who either misinterpreted the request or just became aware of it and decided to try and mix LEGO even further in politics by forging an email singling out specific sets that they knew could be used for political attacks (which is why The White House is in that list...even though it's not even available in the USA yet).

This whole situation is out of hand. The looters that are fighting for their cause make it not as powerful. Last time I checked the Constitution under the 1st amendment there is the right for PEACEFUL PROTEST and this is not that. This is chaos. These looters are not fighting for their cause. And for those looters that may be reading this have you ever thought about that you may be looting your own community members stores (sorry, I do not know how to word this politically correct, but screw it). As far as I am concerned this needs to stop as soon as possible.

I work for the Bellevue washington lego store and unfortunately our store got looted to. It's been a very sad time for me and a lot of other lego fans in regards to the looting.

LEGO is supposed to be unaffiliated with the outside world and is supposed to be its own perfect little universe. That being said, whatever LEGO does to support a cause is LEGO’S business.
