10/10 will pay Thops 10 runes again. Also use Thops' Barrier if you have the int or the AOW. Watching elden stars vanish into thin air will never get old.

My favourite thing is they give personalities to some unimportant enemies. The Tree Sentinel in the base game simply kicked your but hole, but in the manga, we learn he buys plants from Varre. He also was a judge for the grafting competition, which was fun. They even gave a character to the random Grafted Scion in Stormveil Castle, that of an impatient child. It adds to Elden Ring’s lore in a way I didn’t expect

I think my favorite thing about the manga is that Aseo is actually improving and growing. By the Radahn arc, I'm actually surprised at how far he's come. I'm honestly excited for what will come next. Whenever the author finishes playing Shadow of the Erdtree.

I love this mangaka lol. I read their old series based on Dragon Quest (Monster x Monster), years ago, and I remember that it was fantastically weird & I highly enjoyed it. It has a low score on MAL, but I don't think it deserves it, from what I remember. I think it kinda just got cut off (axed) before a lot of the stuff it set up could bloom.

Also, I can't wait for your Oshi no Ko season 2 videos. The first season's videos were the peak of entertainment, and I almost enjoyed them more than the actual anime itself (which is one of my top 10 of all time) Season 2 is gonna have some of my favorite parts in the manga in it, and as long as they can do as well as they did for season 1, it's gonna be hype.

I would say the art style is like Berserk, thee OG dark fantasy manga. In that way it couldn't be more perfect for any soulsborn game.

This manga brings a much needed characterization for Melina, since her sassy attitude is a nice contrast to his more moody older brother Messmer, and the fandom of both western and eastern side are depicting them together with that dynamic.

We did the Irina questline, and I think the Mangaka was inspired by one of the wild fan theories to resolve it. Can’t wait for him to encounter Iri-Hyetta for the first time. Definitely not met before and murdered a random finger maiden to fake her death as to get out of the house.

Still a while away, manga just finished all the pre-Atlus bosses. So it'll take a while to see them cover Leyndell, the eternal cities, Volcano manor, Mountain tops, etc... all before they really get a chance at the DLC.

I tho k you are the *first* person I have ever watch who _finally_ made the point of how disappointing ER's endings are by (rightly) comparing them to the Instagram color filter endings of Mass Effect 3. And what's funny about your mention of Frenzied Flame being the only unique ending besides Ranni's is that the only unique ending in ME3 is also the most horrible one: the Refusal ending where you shoot the Catalyst AI resulting in the Reapers winning.

Varre being a gardener makes more sense than it should. Where did he get his roses from? He grew them. Why does he create flies as an attack? They’re attracted to the fruit he grows. Etc. Edit: I like how Melinda actually has character in the manga, she’s a real person! 😃

This manga could’ve been big if it would’ve kept the dark tone of the game. There’s just so many better ways this could’ve been done. Atleast the artwork is good

Oh no, the comedy is what made it based to begin with. Instead of taking it seriously, the manga explores the experience of playing the game as a first-timer to any of Fromsoft's shenanigans, with lampshades hanging on the absurdist designs of the game (like the way gates are opened here, the sheer shady behaviour of some of the npcs, etc). Then throw in the characters who mostly stayed true to their character (albeit exaggerated to a greater or lesser degree) to further make them even more likeable. Hell, Aseo is practically the audience stand in and represents the players trying to get a grip on how this game works, figure out how the world works (and being confused by all the terms being thrown at him without any kind of explanation on what all those words mean, plus the fact that some of the npcs can be very flowery in their language). He even 'gits gud' over time as his build solidifies properly (seems to be a str/int or a dex/int. Probably str/int as he mains the Claymore and uses sorceries like Thops' Barrier and Carian Grandeur to supplement his abilities. Also Melina insisting on dumping all his runes into Int up until he got his claymore and his scale armour paid off).

@@Punishthefalse everything you just explained is why I don’t like it. It’s from a players perspective instead of from a tarnished from the Elden ring universe. The appeal of Elden ring is the dark fantasy and how serious the story is. It’s even takes a lot of inspiration from Berserk. Most would expect a Berserk like manga but instead they made a joke out it of it.

@@iliadx7495 What’s the point of making a “manga/book” if you’re not going to use it to tell the story. One of the main problems people have with the game is that the story is hard to follow and this was the perfect opportunity to tell the stories of all the starter classes in game

@Molochbeliever not everyone feels like that I personally thought the characters were a bit more boring it felt like every dark souls character ever wich is why most players don't take the game too seriously and make hideous characters and do dumb things because it lightens up the mood and the manga make the characters feel more alive hell Melina in the manga is currently one of my favorite characters her personality tho at first different really started to fit well with aseo making them a funny duo if you don't like slap stick comedy that's fine there are different types not everyone likes the same thing but I personally enjoy the manga and makes the characters more interesting and care about them more
