As for the "Nightmare mode" for this game do this; Pull each body out of the fridge Look for the smile on thr cadaver You find the smiling cadaver, you have the demon's possessed body. The possessed is ALWAYS smiling. While working on the possessed body, use the ashes to next identify the house, then you can get the name with 2 parts of the name exposed. You don't have to work on the non-possessed bodies before burning the possessed body if it is the third body. You also unlock speedrunner achievement for getting the body identified in under 5 minuets.

That bathroom scare has been in the game for a while, and unless you got it off camera, there's one involving the mirror that you never saw, just goes to show how many scares there are, this new 10x mode and hiding story events is perfect to explore them :D

One thing I love about this game is the scares aren't extremely obvious and over the top, they're subtle and a lot are ones you won't really notice unless you're paying attention

You know, this is the first time I have such a huge jumpscare that I throw my headset and glasses off my face. Happy anniversary too! Just please next year try not to give us a heart attack

Dev needs to add a phone call where they are asking about your car’s extended warranty. That would be truly horrifying.

You don’t need the ashes to tell which one is the possessed body. They exhibit several signs throughout to tell you which one is the one. If one of the doors slam on the cold storage, that is almost certainly the right body. Also a few other signs that all add up, are if you’re embalming a body and another body shows up. The cold storage door popping open on just one body. Add all those up and you have the right body. I only have 53 hours logged in the game but I love playing it so I tried to learn as much as I could about it

On the topic of if the procedures are accurate to real life, there's actually a video of a mortician reacting to the game and they said it's pretty accurate. Not 100% obviously, there's more steps to it and takes longer but surprisingly still rather accurate, especially the loud ass pump haha

It's crazy how Insym just goes "oh hi" to all the horrifying demons who pop in. Happy stream-iversary! I also like watching you play scary stuff, much more fun than actually playing these things myself as you have a funny chat keeping you company whereas I live alone :S

A good test method for cutscenes is to pass the trigger backwards. You'd be surprised how many skips are able to be done like that. Usually, it's niche, but there are times where it can break sequences.

If i remember correctly, this is fairly accurate to modern embalming techniques, including the types of tools being used. Example: the long metal spear (forgot its technical name) is used to puncture hollow organs to drain and embalm them (liver, stomach, ect). Pretty sure that's why the game has you change angles a lot during that procedure. It simulates puncturing the hollow organs in the abdominal cavity.

i think you can always ignore the Grandma in the window scare, just to save time. The use of ashes are also optional too. I think if you're pretty good on reading the symbols, there's no need to use the ashes. The scratches or unknown body marks are always a dead give away (get it?) You can save time if you skip those parts.

I've never seen a jumpscare there, but in the supply closet off of the bathroom, right in front of the fuse box would have been the best place for the mimic to appear. Walking into the room and being face to face with the mimic would have been great. I was always expecting to run into it there

You know you don't have to answer the phone. In the story gameplay, Raymond calls you and even tells you not to answer the phone after you finish talking to him.

With all the extra items, you'd think there'd be an extra difficulty where you had to do more to properly embalm certain bodies. A lot of morticians use makeup to cover bruises and scars (Like using the moisturizer), so it looks good for the funeral. I mean, the jaundice fluid is just sitting there waiting to be used.

Not sure if Insym ever noticed but to tell between the good and bad ending, pay attention to how Rebecca refers fo Raymond. If she addresses him formally, it's the good ending. If she uses his first name, it's the bad ending.

Easier to look to the right a bit than lean and look down, especially when you've been doing it for hours.

Demon Audrey talked about another barrier between Raymond and the inevitable. I still understand that if Raymond fails, one or more demons will be unleashed, able to run free and haunt humanity, which you can kind of see when you burn the wrong body since Rebecca becomes a demon, kills Raymond, and is now loose. I assume those demons would set Audrey's demon free, which seems to be a particularly powerful one if the flesh of Audrey's body can be used to burn away other lesser demons.

Congratulations on 5 years! I think the demon uses Rebecca's gran because of her positive influence on Rebecca's life. Seeing her anchor to life go completely berserk is attempting to further break Rebecca's sanity and make her easier to possess. I love seeing playthroughs of this game

4:09 There is a haunting event that I saw a week after the game released that I have never seen since. I have also never seen any youtuber/streamer encounter it. I actually took screenshots of it at the time because it was so bizarre. There is a third scare at the computer; the body can sit up but is laying down again when you get off the computer. Edit: LOL...it happened to Insym at 13:00

Well at best if you want/need to speed run it, you can prepare some things- like the tank cleaner stuff for example, putting 3 of the finished mixtures on the floor next to the tank. Sometimes because of that you won't have to go through some events, that's maybe less enjoying but it will save some time.
