I remember 1990, They were not my friends, but they were not my only friends.... Managed to see them live in 2001. Played all the classics and the new stuff at the time. You can imagine the near riot when they played Birdhouse in Your Soul.

This song brings back such wonderful memories. I remember kicking back at the student union, having a couple beers over the pool table and playing this on the jukebox. I miss the late 80's/early 90's - a golden era for us Gen-Xers and music..

This one. This one is the one that got me to be a TMBG follower. I first saw this video on the MTV special with Dr. Demento (because oddity of the video, not the song, mind!) and I just loved it as a song. The video is cool too, but the song is the thing, and there ya go. Glad to see this here!

I appreciate the ambiguity in TMBG songs, because it means I can read this as a protest song and have my interpretation be as accurate as any other interpretation.

My first thought was, "I don't remember the intro being this fast." Then I realized RU-vid was still at 1.5x from a training video I watched earlier. Oddly enough, other than being too fast, it still sounded good.

I got out of the Air Force in December of '87 to find Dr. Demento presenting THIS and I knew I was gonna be just fine.

I still remember when the Johns took over Nick Rocks on Saturday morning and I was watching the upstairs TV and the VCR was downstairs, so I raced downstairs and luckily I had a tape ready to record it and threw it in and missed the first two minutes! I still have that recording. I’ve been a fan ever since.

The 90s were the best era for alternative music on the planet . Its was the era we lifted the lid on the chocolate assortment and dived in to see what flavours burned beneath wrapped in colourful wrappers
