Here's five songs from They Might Be Giants first ever John Henry-themed show, held at Mr. Small's in Millvale, PA on May 11, 2024. Snail Shell (last played in 2011) / Meet James Ensor / Unrelated Thing / Out Of Jail (last played in 1995!!) / Pittsburgh (Venue Song for Mr. Small's). A John Henry show was long dreamed of, but was never a reality until this night. I recorded lots of video from the three nights and will be uploading them sporadically over the next few weeks. John & John also shared some nice memories about recording the album in upstate NY in 1993-4. Apologies for the vibrating camera action as the bass obviously affected things slightly. Many thanks to Peter for helping with the audio and of course much love and props to TMBG for still bringing the ruckus wherever they go. "We will rock it so well, we will roll down the hill" indeed.
