if mental health issues are so important, then why do republicans continually cut the funding for these programs? the a hammer everything looks like a nail. its simple why he didn't get any help. POLICE ARE NOT TRAINED TO DO THE JOB OF MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS they are not even trained properly before "graduating" from the academy

THE CITY AND NOPD ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS DEATH. THE POLICE GAVE HIM A BREAK ON THE BRIDGE, THEY LIKELY THOUGHT HE WAS ON DRUGS. AND NOW HIS LOSER FAMILY IS SEEKING MONEY. WHERE WAS HIS FAMILY WHEN HE NEEDED THEM?

So wait a minute. This street kid strung out on drugs killed himself in New Orleans so his family is suing the city. Maybe it was his parents' responsibility to help him. Maybe if he wasn't a junkie he wouldn't have had these problems. Of course he has "mental problems", all drug addicts do. Obviously, this is sad but his parents knew he was on the street and had problems. What did they do to help him?

Dante was not a drug addict. He was beginning to show symptoms of a serious psychosis which he did not have earlier in his life. Please don't be mean. We are real people just like you.

It wouldn’t be far fetched to say he probably seen something that caused him to lose his mind, New Orleans is a spiritually wicked place, our fight isn’t against blood and flesh. May his soul rest in peace 🕊️I pray his family can get the justice they need, he needed help and no one helped him🕊️

I was Dante's good friend and I confirm that he was not a drug addict, he didn't have an alchohol problems either. He was always seeking to create a better life for himself but at some point there was an onset of these serious symptoms and mental Health issues are sometimes out of someone's control.

So let me see if I understand this. He left home to live as a wandering hobo writing bad poetry, descended into mental unwellness because of his unhealthy lifestyle, and it's the world's fault?

Dante was a good friend of mine- he did not have any substance issues, he ate healthy, he was working as a carpenter and always trying to make a better life for himself. Have some respect.
