We have traveled and used our 2019 Apex ultralite constantly for about 3 yrs of the time. Just the usual minor maintenance and it has been fantastic. It has the single outer Azdel, laminate floors and ceiling. So lite and very strong. Has taken a lot of abuse and keeps on going. Would buy it again!
Adding to favorites. Im changing that shower curtain to that retractable system and i wish there was a space under the sink for a trash can, but not deal breakers when you've got that fixed bed, so much window coverage and walkable rode mode. And that light interior and bit of blue make me happy.
Ikea has a sliding half-height waste sorting unit called "Hållbar" that mounts under a sink, and can be equipped either with two smaller bins for garbage and recycling, or one larger one. The website doesn't give the measurements, just the volume of the trash can, but it looks like it might fit.
Love this floor plan. The huge windows every were are great. The inside lets big but is not. The wind sheld is great. The full queen bed are great. The colors are great. The xl vet fan it’s good. Wish it hand black out Shad’s . The storge is great . The bath room is great! Thank you josh!
I will say I love this model and I will also say I have a Forest River with that griddle. That Griddle has cooked many of Breakfast on it for my family time and time over.
Love it! They knocked it out of the park with this one. Only suggestion is to have a corner mounted medicine cabinet. Love that it's not just a murphy bed option.
I like the standard 60x80 bed but would like a different choice other than a dinette to sit in. How about a dine-ofa or theater seats with pop out trays? Better accommodations for rainy days or dark evenings. I'm more of an outdoors camper but need some place to go in the rain other than just the dinette
put a hatch above where the water or electrical is being ran. and then have a sloped top so that stuff could slide up and over. also a few tie downs points would be nice
Looks like they borrowed a few ideas from mine when they had it in their service center! Unfortunately it wasn't right after they replaced the entire floor, slide assembly and roof! Good to see that they finally replaced the "belt" trim with something that can't trap water and rot the floor. Overall ...nice improvements!
Yes, in fact its a must have. Make the slider a dinofa. Get rid of the double bunks and make that a kitchen. Then make the kitchen space a nice entertainment center with a big screen TV that's right across from the dinofa...Perfect!!!
“Small” touches like the breeze windows for both bunks impress me. I’m okay without the added “complexity” of an extra door for the cargo area under the bottom bunk; I’m good loading that space from the inside. If there were an option to forego the camp kitchen and enclose that space from the inside, I would prefer that. Could do without the water heater “outlet” on the camp side; don’t know if it being tankless means it’s not as hot on the outside. Would like to see a bigger fridge; seems like 8 cubic feet is small for a space that can sleep 8. All in all: a nice layout with some nice touches.
Would love to see a rear cargo access door behind the lower bunk. Also would love to see a spray port near the camp kitchen. Maybe a kitchen faucet that had a sprayer. Not a big fan of the blue. I think the grey beige works better because it’s so neutral and you can accessorize how you like to. If I’m being honest, it might be good for their designers to take a look at the bathrooms on these models. They haven’t really made many changes there in some years. Maybe angle the medicine cabinet, add a curved shower track for more elbow room, night light, etc.
I think, as far as the bunk imitation is the most sincerest form of flattery, they should take a page from the makers of the bunk that folds up and does all sorts of whizbang things. Memory escapes me. It’s been a while since I’ve been on your channel they can have a bunk door and possibly even side access to the bunk, Lastly Josh Daisy’s got a new picture I put up there. She’s put on a little weight.
I'm considering buying a 208BHS to replace my 20 year old Terry 250RKS and I really enjoyed your video! Always great! I was wondering what the overall quality of the Apex Nano trailers is? Thank you!
Fixed bed. I've never liked Murphy beds. I don't like to sit on the Murphy in couch form. When I do, I feel like I'm sitting there, waiting for a bus...or something. 😁
Outlet for coffee maker? Trash can? Move the spare over and add a cargo shelf mount (i.e., hitch receiver). Bunks without cargo door is like...melted ice cream without sugar. And without cream.
Not on this one as it turns out. I think that’s a symptom of this being a “nano” series - most of which are smaller This brand also has a careful budget consideration But that means it may lack features you’d like to see. Always tough knowing where to draw the line You may like this one by contrast - it includes the features you prefer albeit for additional budget m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Yj2y53pgO3I.html
Using sealed thermafoil is very much to Coachmen's credit. I'd think the cost to replace countertops under warranty would exceed any cost savings using unsealed thermafoil.
Josh…The Solid bed! Nothing is better than a good night sleep; and being able to have a true queen bed; this means I get to choose my mattress. Sadly there is always compromise with TT’s.. Example why did they not add an exhaust hood over the two burner? We tend to cook at least once a day inside or do a pour over coffee and the heat and oils will get captured up under the cabinets etc. And the industry has to get rid of those CHEAP according shades; they are awful. Thankfully they kept Swintech system instead of the cheap cables slide system. You call it a Narrow Body looks like an 8ft W TT; Overall keeping the Dry Weight under 4,300k Lbs is outstanding for bunks that can handle 300lbs 🏁 Yes that means smaller fridge and plastic toilet etc. I switch out the toilet day one! Lol
Apex nano models (like this) never have stove top hoods. MOST of their models are smaller single axles with a giant window in the kitchen eating exhaust hood So even though this is larger it still get the "Nano treatment" as it were Doesn't mean it is RIGHT But that's the "why" behind the "what"
People watch these videos sometimes years after they come out. Most of them don’t realize what the posting date was Then with old outdated pricing info they think we are trying to pull a bait and switch due to their own misunderstanding So I leave you a link to our site where you can always see current and accurate pricing both MSRP and discounted sale figures regardless when you watch the video
I just looked at one at the Hershey RV Show. MSRP was around 37k here locally and advertised price for it was around 27k. On the lot price was around 30k as of Late summer 2024, a week before the show.
Don't like the tub. Would like a convertable sofa. Looks like its made cheap. Love the windows and outdoor kitchen. I like a front kitchen. Maybe a Murphy bed in the middle slide.
Glad to know spare is the same as the other 4. Side question…. Do they make RV stove/ovens that run off both camp electric AND propane? If so, what brands have those installed? That would be the ultimate diversified camping cook course.
Although I'm not a fan of slides, this is a good layout. My biggest issue though is the manufacturer. My in-laws have a pre-covid built Coachmen Class A that has been nothing but trouble.
For a BH this is very nice, and I would stick with the 60x80 queen rather than the Murphy. One question why they would not build it to a full 8' width the extra 6" sounds small but would add a lot to the interior.
I poked a button by accident, and my probably too long comment went away. Teaches me to focus on one task at a time better. For price point, this one's leaning into my sweet spot, and the road mode accessibility is huge when we'll either weekend warrior, or boondock in Wally World parking lots cross-country to see grandparents. There is no in between at this point in my life. Outdoor kitchen would be used less on long haul trips, but having a little spare fridge doesn't hurt. I could see myself take out the outdoor kitchen and put in a Dometic type portable fridge/freezer. on sliders for access. Remember, I'm the type who'd boondock most of the time, so I like the 50 gallon fresh tank. Having smaller kids, the tub, however tiny, is a good addition, you have no idea how much dirt a toddler can coat themselves in before you have experienced one as a parent. I'm not saying it's a dealbreaker, but I dislike the tiny stove and microwave combo. you can't fit a pot of pasta for a family of 6 and a pan for sauce on the burners at the same time. I'd rather have a small all gas 2-3 burner range with oven. Still small, but the functionality would be there. Or even just the bigger gas cooktop with no microwave, and a cabinet or drawer below. Upgraded solar with more batteries, and change out the "privacy" curtains. My mother-in-law ran an upholstery business for years, so I think between my sewing skills and hers, we could customize a dinette like that in a matter of a couple days with some marine grade vinyl or some such fancy stuff. Did anyone else notice that the box under the bed is already coming apart at 9:18? It raises questions about build quality on this model for me. Is it a one off, or are all Apex Nanos being slapped together without a final inspection? Here's a really random thought I got while looking at the paused view of the bed at the front... There could be a massive U dinette that can convert to a bed at the front with storage above and below, and a slide, perhaps ever so slightly longer to accommodate a wardrobe and under bed drawers could be a sleeper sofa for Mom and Dad in stead. Or did I lose my mind? I've been told I'm a little unhinged. We spend a lot of time on a bunch of laptops and playing boardgames, homeschooling, and generally just dillydallying at the kitchen table, in addition to eating. A large seating area would be functional for how we use our living space. (Can you tell I went to school for architectural engineering and lived in tiny European apartments in the past? RVs slot right into my inherent love for living space Tetris. :D )
A few nice updates from the 2024. One question; in earlier promos/previews of the ‘25 model from Apex, they show a skylight over the bed. I don’t see this anywhere else though. Did they just get rid of it?
Manageable size and weight, I could pull this with my 2022 Frontier SV. Bunks could be used for storage, if you don't get crazy with it and keep it balanced in the front. But, with the only seating a dinette and cheap countertops, I'd pass.
This is ok . Maybe that COMMODE ROOM needs to be XXL. Definitely a cargo door needed for kayak or a giraffe 🦒 . I'm sure someone takes their 🦒 camping 😂COORS LIGHT 🍻 💣🚽💥💥
@@JoshtheRVNerd Ember is at the top of my list. RVs with a DESK is mostly what i'm looking at so i'm most likely on the far side of the spectrum of people.
I’ve been thinking or leaning toward an apex because it’s so light weight and has a lot of the things we’re looking for. The only thing is build quality, walking through a few they seem cheaply made. What do yall think?
Just wondering if this is too big for a 1/2 ton truck? We just inherited a 2019 Silverado 1500 Z71 LD Double Cab with the 5.3 and the tow package, and I'm just trying to get a good idea of what we'll safely be able to tow with it.
I don’t have a list premade and cannot recall lengths from the cuff. I have a few lists under 30ft here on the channel In that size you’ll mostly hit stuff like a 20MB go play, 2509s Rockwood, or 21BHE imagine
@@JoshtheRVNerd Thanks for the reply Josh, I Appreciate your work and have learned a lot from you over the years. Not having the hood is my biggest reservation with this unit.
I like it! A LOT of bang for the buck with this one! The stove needs moved to the left about 1/2" so its inline with the microwave. Its those types of little things that would make this a no-go for me. It could be missing a wheel, but that 1/2" off center stove would be the deal breaker :(
@@JoshtheRVNerd Understood. Yeah, I’m only talking first roads. Would I be better off with a Winnebago Micro Minnie 2100 or are they similar on dirt roads?
@@JoshtheRVNerd I find it easier to wash pot an dishes with the high rise faucet Josh but we do a lot of camp fire cooking an use cast iron skillet an pans . You do a good job explaining things in each camper it helps people
May I ask what makes you feel that way? They definitely get hot in the sun I know that I’m always curious to know why people feel certain ways about different things
Replacement cost, ,,,added weight and cost, had too many campgrounds fling rocks while cutting grass, and myself as well🤫, plus common sense, it adds nothing to the functionality on the most use door.
KB have you seen Hodge Twins most Recent? In Aurora Colorado, Venezuelan Gang has kicked out Residents. The woman representing families is a black woman and she has a lot to speak about.
The blue is ugly and limiting. The dinette is a waste of space. I wish they would hire people who actually have experience RVing to design these. The majority of those working in this industry have never RVed. That’s like asking a construction worker to do heart surgery. They go with cheap vs what people need or want. The “privacy” curtains are proof of how these companies don’t give a $hit. My theory on why they continue hiring inexperienced designers is they know a true RVer would call them out on their stupid choices.
Awesome to see a murphy bed sofa “option” to offset the backbreaking diner booth dinette👍they just need to upgrade that very entry level bathroom’s cheap plastic toilet, shower curtain and Dollar Store 4” fart fan☹️and💥💥💥
