As said in others comments the storyline is ‘damiano is the one dead. He’s attending his own funeral. He is there to tell to his friends what maybe he never told to them. In fact in the end as you saw his friends are the only ones that didn’t run away and try to not let him go. But his role in this life is ended and he goes away’ he wrote the song when he was in LA fir a long time and felt lonely without friends, family and girlfriend. So he thought (he explained this in an interview) ‘what if I will die tomorrow? Do they know how much I love them?’ And in one night he wrote the lyrics. But as always he also said that each person hearing the lyrics and watching the video are ‘free’ to give it their meaning. What you feel is the right meaning. Greetings from Italy ❤

TIL: You could also find a video in Mexico (I think) Damiano sang this song literally crying, because days before his grandfather died and they played this song at his funeral.

One of the best songs ever created! Literally everything in it is perfect. The text is amazing, the video is beautiful and symbolic, Damiano's voice is absolutely fucking perfect for a ballad like this, especially with how raspy it is and the guitar is like stuttering and crying throughout it, which makes it all even more powerful. Everything is so well-made and put together, that i consider it one of the very few songs that are perfect and literally nothing could be done to improve it.
