well funky friday DID originally get permission for everything they put in their game but then gamefam putting the sonic stuff in tehre was way too commercial for the fnf devs and they and like half the mod creators pulled out

Gamefam is honestly a terrible company overall. Not only do they not pay their costumers, but they also heavily monitize games they contribute to.

This is what Roblox wants. Doesn't matter how bad it is, it just needs to be addictive and heavily monetized. The more monetization the better, and RBLX has designed their search/discovery algorithm accordingly as outlined to investors in their Q2 2022 earnings call: "Really, when we have two experiences that are both retaining well, that are both predictive of the same play time, we are nudging towards that experience that monetizes better in that type of situation..." -- David B.

Funky friday got in legal trouble when gamefam bought the game. I wish they dont make the same mistake with a really big game cuz that literally killed the Funky Friday reputation and got the original FF devs in actual trouble. (Also FF did asked for the original FNF devs to put some FNF assets but gamefam started to monetize the game, a thing that the original devs of FNF dont like so they asked to delete the original FNF assets)

here's the text from 8:20 for the ones who cant read it fast enuf: basically other games that used friday night funkin's original assets (characters and music and stuff) had asked for permission beforehand and were granted it and didn't try to make much profit off of it but funky friday i think didn't do this? i could be wrong but funky friday got in trouble with the original fnf devs and they had to remove all the original fnf music (week 1-7) from the funky friday game. im not sure if they had to do anything else but the devs don't like them.

I feel that anytime gamefam purchased a game, they just destroy it instantly. Witnessing the downfall of funky Friday after gamefam bought it was just awful. I loved that game and I stopped playing it because it got boring and because gamefam weaseled their way into it to make money

ZO was absolutely ruined by Voldex, another company similar to gamefam. Used to be a really cool samurai game with little to no monetisation, now there’s tons of premium weapon skins and similar content being rushed out to make a quick buck

i played 2/3 of gamefam games before gamefam got them, and they were about the same, but just they added 100 eggs, and 100 gamepasses

I wanted to try out starving artists a couple days ago because I am an artist. And like to draw. And its devastation to hear such a decline. And death run hit hard. That's a game everyone knows, and it got reduced to gamefams log of games.

Same thing happened to Polybattle, used to grind for Wyvern... (Wyvern was the VSS Vintorez, a suppressed automatic 9x39mm russian sniper that could use the PSO-1, which can also be used on the AK series and the Dragunov.

as someone who played a lot of Military tycoon or the players call it "MT" it is sad to see it like this at the state it is the map is terrible only god knows how many bugs there and and also there code is very outdated and on top of all the devs don't care, they dont't care about how their updates look, they don't care abou the many big content creators like spooky season and susbreed and zaylax who all have around or over 20k from MT and they really don't care about them they seem to be really soft because when everyone starts saying that the update is bad they just take to banning then for hate speech, and don't even get me started on the unrealism of the game, anyways if you looking for a good war game try out war tycoon basictly MTs brother but why better.

I’m glad the 3 games I play are made by small groups so they are already pretty safe. Also they won’t sell it to gamefam because they probably want to keep it. The games are JToH, Regretavator, 3008, and Tower Creator (Related to JToH). It’s sad that death run and starving artists are now owned by gamfam. I used to play those a lot.

Starving artists and robeats were on my favorites on roblox for like 2 years now this makes me terribly regret every decision ive made in those games

I remember when I used to play robeats a lot. I loved it but around when gamefam got robeats I had all my favourite songs like night of nights and disappearance of hatsune miku got removed and lots of events sponsored by random music artists. Soon enough I got pissed that everything I liked about the game were slowly disappearing and quit

As a sonic speed simulator player that doesn’t like gamefam, its extremely sad that every time i buy even a form of sonic merchandise on the platform im just handing money to them 😭 speed sim also has the wheel thing and ive gotten approximately *1* legendary item from it.

military tycoon is just completely filled with old event vehicles like planes, tanks and ships that cost thousands of robux if you weren't a part of the event... it has went completely downhill

Their Discord server is so dead xD I just joined and to see what people are talking about, but the chats have 3-6 messages per day, some days even 0 messages

they also own Minecraft Central/MCCentral and OPBlocks (minecraft servers, OPBlocks is very p2w and I think they bought MCC as it's an old server. MCC also switched advertising to Minehut which is basically Roblox in Minecraft with 90% shitty servers but hey free server hosting) and some official Fortnite maps I think
