Shinee is a group that debuted in 2008 and they are considered legends in the industry. They are pretty much every idol's idols. They used to be 5 members but Jonghyun passed away in 2017, he was depressed and commited suicide😥. We miss him a lot and Shinee will always be 5 in our heart. @@azruliman9 a few groups from second generation are considered icons and among them are shinee & bigbang & suju 2nei each having different official titles to honour them ~they are all really big there & respected as legend veterans in kpop but yes bigbang explicitly given king of kpop officially however, in general people just use the terms casually & loosely (~over here she just says they are considered kings casually which is true for many koreans fans or nonfans they are recognized as such and she did not use an official title of bigbang as king of kpop~also the genre shinee incorporates a lot in their songs is rnb (&other similar styles) more than other genres so in that area they are the ones usually ruling it compared to other groups while bigbang in another scope is the one excelling in their preferred style which they incorporate a lot of hiphop (YG company main focus) into their kpop routines; So each are kings in their respective prefered styles although they all are great in different styles nonetheless and not just their main ones)

Here's a (not very) brief guide to SHINee for Sammy and anyone who wants to join SHINee World and be part of the family: SHINee (pronounced 'shine-ee') debuted in 2008 with their iconic song, Replay. Unlike other groups, they gained instant popularity without any prior promotion, for their unique music and trendsetting fashion. They started many K-pop trends, such as wearing coloured skinny jeans, uploading dance practice videos, using dubstep in their music (the song Everybody), and using odd coloured eye contacts (Jonghyun in Odd era) Fandom name: Shawol (short for SHINee World) Lightstick: Diamond shaped light called... shating star? (Don't ask lmao) Group colour: Pearl Aqua (the colour of the lightstick) In age order, the members are: Lee Jinki (stage name Onew, pronounced 'on-ew'): the eldest. He's mature and responsible, but can show his fun side. He has a very powerful and adaptive voice and can even make a pretty good attempt at singing classically (check out his live cover of nessun dorma). He is often seen smiling and has one of the prettiest smiles the world has seen. He's often overlooked and is an underrated member. He has starred in many kdramas as a regular. If you're Jinki biased you're called an MVP Official colour: green Kim Jonghyun: the voice behind SHINee, labelled as the most unique voice in K-pop by many. He produced a lot of SHINee songs and some tracks for other artists, as well as writing lyrics and releasing his own book. He's known for his charisma on stage and his angular looks. He's the shortest of the group, which he was often teased about by Minho, the tallest. He had his own radio show that the fans listened to, and he's the only one who didn't go on an acting route between comebacks. If you're Jonghyun biased you're called a Blinger Official colour: red (sometimes blue for some reason?) Kim Kibum (stage name Key): the underrated middle child of SHINee, VERY sassy, seriously you do not wanna piss him off. He's very fashionable and often styles the group's outfits for live performances. He is fluent in English and hosted funny Instagram lives where a wide range of memes come from. The widely used K-pop clown meme is actually Kibum dressing up for Halloween. He is a lot more than just the memes though, he's a rapper, singer, dancer and stylist, the whole package. He's got a lot of talent to showcase, as he's also starred in kdramas. If you're Key biased you're called a Locket Official colour: pink Choi Minho: the second youngest and main rapper of SHINee. He's known for his deep voice, smooth rap flow and sexy on-stage routines. He once stood beside Melania Trump at an event and got more attention than her. He got a lot of attention when View was first released, because his biceps stood out so much in his sleeveless top. He's very competitive but very sweet and kind hearted (a friendly giant), and also acts in dramas. He acted in a historic drama with Taehyung, it's called Hwarang. Him and Taehyung are good friends outside of the show too! If you're Minho biased you're called a Flamer Official colour: red (sometimes blue for some reason?) Lee Taemin: the maknae. He's known for having THE best glow up in K-pop. He became a trainee when he was basically still a foetus and debuted when he was 14. He's managed to have debuted three times in three different generations of K-pop, once with SHINee, once as a solo artist, and most recently with SuperM. His voice that Sammy admired so much in Jopping is very unique and breathy, which is why it stands out so much. Taemin is very two sided, very innocent off-stage, but when performing or in music videos, he's very sexy. He defies gender norms and wears gender neutral outfits in his solo music. If you're Taemin biased you're called a Taemint (idk this one's just cute.) Official colour: yellow SHINee once got attention from Barack Obama, who talked about listening to the band and their love for American burgers. SHINee were the first K-pop group to perform in London. They're very well known and iconic, but unfortunately after Jonghyun passed away in 2017 from suicide a lot of K-pop fans seemed to avoid the whole topic of SHINee. The became an underrated group despite how iconic they are. Among many Jonghyun became known only for his suicide, not for who he was and his legacy. But the group is still going strong. I won't go too much into detail about Jonghyun, but to understand him better as a person I would recommend listening to some of his solo songs like 'End of a Day' and 'Skeleton Flower'. I would also recommend reacting to SHINee's performances of 'From Now On', 'Diamond Sky' (2018), and the song 'Our Page' which display very moving perspectives of the world moving on without him but never forgetting him. Moving onto their music because it got too sad oops. Their discography is so versatile and varied, from ballads to rock to cheesy 90s pop to dubstep. They gained international attention with their song Ring Ding Dong, which later became a meme because, let's face it, it sounds ridiculous (in a good way of course). I'd recommend watching Very Swank's "A Very SHINee Guide" for a better introduction in video form lol SHINee is always five 💎💎💎💎💎 5HINee forever ❤️

They've been through a lot of things, their principal voice had gone due to the loss of one of their members, then three of them had to do the military service, Taemin who were raised by his brothers since he was like 14 suddenly had to be alone, and now they're together again, they are only four but in Shinee's hearts they will always be five. I ain't lying if I say that this guys are legends and also they have the BEST vocal line in kpop, they can literally ALL sing really well. in this song there isn't Jonghyun the 5th member he was a really good vocalist (I still think he's the best together with Onew) saddly he ended his life the 18th dicember 2017, we still miss him and his beautiful voice and personality but he's a lot more than his depression, so coming back to what I was saying... Jjong was a really REALLY good vocalist who wrote his own songs and wrote even a book. I'd love if you checked out some of his solo stuff after diving more into SHINee as a group. Shinee the princes of kpop. everything that is considered normal in kpop, that almost every group does and fans love, it was probably Shinee who did it first. They are such an inspiration. They've done a lot of different sounds, and they're pretty experimental. If you want to hear something dubstep react to 'Everybody', then there's 'View' if you want house, for R&B you can react to their debut song 'Replay', for something retro try '1 Of 1', for something funk rock try 'Why So Serious?'. 3 out 4 just came back from the military ~& with minho it is really obvious with his physique ~ shinee is a lengendary group in korea among fans & nonfans/casual alike~big veterens from the second generation kgroups. Really respected as major artists there and still loved by many till today. even though they are still pretty young (born 90s) compared to other 2nd generation groups (that are in their 30s) since they debuted (2008) pretty young all just teens & taemin just 14-15~it has been 12-13 years since debut & 2 years since last comeback so it was a long awaited & they have delivered this is a long wait for shawols & other casual listeners so it is a major comeback ~always is when everyone is waiting for big artists to complete their mandatory enlistment (currently only taemin has his remaining since he is the youngest he can delay it bit longer (can be enlisted approximately between age 18-28/30) btw you already familiar with txt~taehyun one factor among others is that he became a singer & considered it at 6 seeing shinee debut in 2008 for replay they are icons to many of the k artists after them & many say the gained inspiration from them & look up to them immensely~others also said they became singers/dancers (taemin is a top dancer in korea among kpop group~icon to many groups for dancing) thanks to them

You are the first reactor I've seen that listened to the song first b4 watching the mv. That was smart as it let you appreciate their voices and style, and then, watching the video, pow, you got hit with the magic that is SHINee. They have the best vocals and harmonies, and phenomenal live performances. Onew's voice is heavenly and Jonghyun was the best vocalist in K-pop. They are incredible dancers, and their visuals, charisma and chemistry together is renowned. When you start reacting to them on variety shows and funny compilations, you will see what hilarious lovable sweet guys these are. They are the closest group in all of K-pop. They are the original kings of chaos!!

I have a feeling this whole comeback is related to the entire SM Universe Theory which centers around the destruction of EXO planet. I think SHINee are the guardians of Earth. EXO's planet supposedly is destroyed, just as we see in SHINee's VCR. SHINee, NCT, EXO, Red Velvet, and other groups all have a part to play in this story. Now we see planets in this MV and their comeback teaser, "Fake Reality" cements it even more. Taemin's MVs for "Criminal", "IDEA", "Famous" & "Want" also may play a part, as well as Onew's MV, "Blue", Key's MV for "Forever Yours" & SHINee's "I Want You". These guys have been together for 16 years (counting trainee days) and are more in sync than anyone out there. They flawlessly bounce their vocals back and forth as if they're just having a regular conversation, not to mention their choreo and chemistry with each other. This is why they are legends, the trendsetters of Kpop, and the idols of all other idols. They are tremendously respected in the industry and no one in Kpop has a bad thing to say about them. Yes, they all have very distinctive voices and when combined, their harmonies are unrivaled. Their live vocals are usually even better than when recorded. This Shinee comeback has us all crazy. This song was originally for BoA, but she gave it to SHINee. As you already know, everything is connected in SM. It is said that in the last part of this MV, we can see the EXO PLANET. My god ♥
This is their first comeback as a group after almost 2.5 years, all the members except for Taemin had to complete their required military service and they all returned finally so Shinee fans (Shawols) have been waiting a long time for this.
SHINee's back showing everyone why 2nd gen Kpop is the best! The member that reminds you of Suga is called Onew (aka Jinki). Onew means "gentle" and he fits the name - a little spacey, laid back and very sweet. And he has that heavenly voice. As for the fellow with the "abs" - yes, it is hard to believe he is real! Minho was just discharged from military service - where he was Marine and a "jump master" parachuting out of planes. The guy is fit. And the sick fashion in this video? That would be due in large part to the member with the feathers in his hair - the amazing Kim Kibum. 2nd gen is having lots of comebacks this year. In addition to more SHINee, please check out U-Know's recent stuff - Eeny Meeny is such a bop and the MV for Thank You is amazing.
