Mid tier, so far. He's good at converting stray hits, Impressive corner to corner carry combos, oppressive neutral game, and nightmare corner pressure. But his lack of fast button, unreliable dp, no invincible meter reversal and Super being Vertical instead of Horizontal hurts him. Fast characters swarm him, zoners ground him and armored attacks stuffs his neutral options. If he didn't have grenade, he'd be near unplayable unless you rely on big swingy buttons. And he doesn't have the HP nor invuln frames to walk someone down the corner the traditional way

Yeah, Crusader's strikes have so much range & that wall practically negates keep away zoning playstyles, bringing opponents well within smiting range

It makes my vanguard very sad because im basically the same speed as the crusader and i NEED that range

Most think that DnF is a easy game to get into, but its hard to master. Thats the general consensus.

big damage combo’s are incredibly easy to pull off compared to other games but there’s definitely still some in-depth neutral game mechanics, but i’d say the floor is pretty low already so the ceiling is definitely not high. It all just comes down to the neutral game for the most part.

Those would be some nice additions! I'm really looking forward to seeing who else they'll put in the game. There are so many choices that they could put in!

@@Kenoji8 I'm thinking they're going to try to fit in everyone, without too much overlap, over time if the game stays popular. There's too many good classes and they could do so much with it. Battle Mage, Asura, Hellcat, Necromancer, Spectre would all be interesting to play as. Pretty much everyone with all the skills in DFO.

We need Monk since DNF lack boxer archetype representation.

Another layer to that That The Character has Blue eyes no less just like Max.

@@hmad898 I’m not one who is usually salty playing fighting games cuz they are how they are to me but I have definitely felt frustrated with some characters when playing as grappler lol But such is the life of a grappler player lmao

thats because the striker player kept starting combos with lights which makes your combo do way less damage and then dropping said combos. basically they had a skill issue because it was day one, and max played the beta.

an alternate color that looks exactly like max, hair style, shirt color and all. definitely not max though, sure.

he isnt. he explains here 3:02 why they arent getting good damage. he simply understands the combo system better. look here 3:26 for an example of a decent striker combo that doesnt start from a light. the striker player here just kept dropping most of their combos.

Combos started with light attacks give more opportunity and hence are easier to pull off and as a result, for the sake of balance, do less damage. Combos started with heavies since they're much harder to land do much more damage on the other hand. Max played the beta a lot so he's accustomed to it and hence why he committed to the heavies more. That striker player meanwhile went with light attacks.
