TDWP is one of the bands that originally got me into heavier music. It’s nice to see them still relevant and putting out bangers 15 years later

16 Yr old me was blown away by zombie EP, 26 year old me has ascended thanks to ZII Truly is a masterclass in metalcore. The Doom Eternal/Mick Gordon riffage is a beauty to behold on this track. The collapse of the mix into the very haunting uttering of the word "run" on contagion is possibly the best transition into a breakdown I've ever heard

I am the same age as you and I feel the same way. Completely agree! Zombie II is such a great EP. Perfectly stood up to expectations and beyond.

Also the same age!! Saw them for the first time live on the zombie 1 tour! This EP was 1000X better than I expected.

At 1:25 I love how it’s basically the same riff, just altered slightly. Sounds so damn cool. This whole EP rips and I think this songs my fav.

I'll always love TDWP, first band to get me into heavier music and I respect their ability to stay true to themselves and not be afraid to evolve their sound, even if it isn't always the heaviest thing on the planet.

This album is pretty much everything I wanted as a fan of the original Zombie EP, and more. Like you said I wasn't buying the whole "dis gun be heavy" rhetoric (despite utterly loving The Act), but damn this record just annihilates.

It's cool to see that ZII has been a total fusion of the original ridiculous heavy stuff (DLABD-DT) and their "songwriting" route of (8:18-The Act). They mastered the bleak feeling as you mentioned, while also sharing the ability to jam out to it.

Hadn't really listened to TDWP since Zombie I, but I'm about ZII for sure. Also, if you haven't already checked it out, "Stone Leader Falling Down" from VOLA's new album is dumb good

To me, it's so weird with the hate that The Act got for being so different, but for me it's the album that got me listening to them. I love it so much, every single song on that album is amazing. Opinions are like the butt I guess (Split).

Never afraid to flex (yes corny af lol) my Dead Throne tattoo. From their first two releases they’ve never embarrassed me. Never lazy, always hard. After WRAABB album they never settled for just any breakdown or riff... some releases took me a little bit to warm up to but it’s just bc it’s such a mature and thought through progression. I can still see their “roots” when listening to this shit... not many bands do that to me.
