"They're BARBARIC" How Gangs With 'Zombie Knives' Are Making Britain’s Streets Bloodier Than Ever 

Uk is a hell hole and our government allowed this to happen… the leaders should be held accountable

'Zombie knives' is an idiotic term. They are just knives. A 10" chefs knife is just as lethal as a 10" zombie knife ...whatever one of those is. We need to stop focussing on the inanimate object being the problem, and focus on the real problem, that our streets are out of control, that these idiots dont fear repercussions and that the police and criminal justice system are not fit for purpose. Focussing on 'zombie knives' is just deflection. Machetes, kitchen knives, axes, scythes and all manner of garden tools are just as lethal and just as convenient and are prolific in every home in the land. Remember when Lee Rigby got his head cut off on the streets of London? The guy used a bread knife. Anyone who thinks banning a knife because of it's name, will somehow magically solve this problem, needs medical care. Even if you ban everything with an edge or a point, then these idiots will just get a metal bar, an angle grinder and make their own, just like they do in prison.

Get them thrown in jail and if they weren't born in the UK get them deported after their sentence. Stuff the human rights act.

It's not the weapons it the attitude of the people that are willing to use them. To them and the world they live in a willingness to commit extreme violence is a valuable currency.

From 11 years old I carried a knife in the 80's. I spent a lot of time in the woods as a kid, and it's one of the most useful tools you can have. Not once did I think about stabbing or slashing a person, because I didn't use it as a weapon. I used it as a tool. One of the few things my father taught me was gun safety, and knife safety. I still have the sheath knife he bought me for my 11th birthday. It's seen a lot of wear and tear, but I looked after it, and it's still in good nick now with a good edge to it, though it's a bit scruffy looking. What our politicians in their knife banning ways don't seem to understand is, it's not the knife, it's the person. Items don't have agency. People do. Ban a machete, they'll use a knife. Ban that, they'll something else. You can walk into a supermarket and leave with a quality set of kitchen knives, good steel, sharp edge, full tang, very lethal should you choose to use them that way. Failing that, a metal bar will crack a skull. Until they tackle this at the source, it isn't going away. Doesn't matter how many inanimate objects are banned.

I made an attempt alone to stop a east european drunk driver who had crashed his car with his two friends inside. Called police who took so long to "not" arrive that I ended up with a knife wound to my thumb. Police apparently knew who the driver was but I heard nothing more so can only assume justice was not done. Well done West Mercia Police.

my daughter is a victim of stabbing she's so lucky to be alive today. my condolences to the mother . four years ago my daughter got attacked by 4 girls and they stabbed her in her neck millimetres from her jugular vein if it wasn't for the paramedics and all the doctors keeping her alive . she wouldn't be with me today and to this day it breaks my heart and brings me to tears .as for the girls that did this to my daughter they was 12-15 yrs old they was found guilty in a crown court by jury and the judge gave them 6 months on tag and probation for one year. this gentleman is right about these kids getting just a slap on the wrist and no real hard punishments being handed down and until the courts and judges start handing down tougher sentences to these minors nothing is going to change my daughter now has a 7 inch scar across her neck scarred for life and these kids get away with it it makes me sick to my stomach

I do not accept any explanation for this violence that blames lack of economic opportunity and prospects. Every sector of the economy is crying out of staff and there are university places for over half the population and plenty of vocational training opportunities too. Many earlier generations faced far bleaker prospects and didn't resort too this sort of violence. As for "root causes" the root cause of crime is criminals.

Politicians are squarely to be blamed. Many of us grew up in poor areas, poor families! But if you misbehaved your parents will deal with you! If there was complain from school the parents did not go and scream at teachers!! For politicians delinquents are easy to control

The trouble is that the youth of today aren't frightened of anybody in authority, in fact, they openly laugh in the polices' faces, I've actually seen it.

Well, I think this proves the point that you can take away one kind of weapon from your population, but people who want to do harm will always find another way. And now the law abiding citizens of the UK are left with very little in the way of defending themselves. Great job!

20 YEARS FOR KNIFE POSSESION THAT WILL SOON END THE KNIFE CRIME

My friend who is fighting through the courts to deny her ex to have her 8 year old overnight. He is in his 40s and lives with someone else with young children. His cousin and nephew have both been in prison for drug related offences. He admits he owns a machete and has threatened to cut her head off. He chased girls down the street with this machete and leaves it in plain sight to intimidate. At no time does the court demand he hands this weapon in or report him to the police.

It’s getting to the time when we all need to be armed.

Its not the knives though is it, its the people wielding them. The same types are doing the same thing throughout European and American cities, and tbh there’s no fixing it. My heart goes out to this poor lady and all the victims of this insanity.

These so called new powers mean absolute squat, we removed things like random stop and search because people felt it unnecessarily targeted certain demographics, and yet for the most part those are EXACTLY the demographics that are the problem. There are far too many doo gooders who are not in touch with the real world, and have no experience with life outside of their shelter. I was once held up alone at gun and knife point by 3 15-17 years who were after my backpack and phone, they picked on the wrong person, I don't overly have much value on my own life and kicked the SH*T out of them, wasn't sure if the gun was real or not but was not backing down. But these wannabe thieves were all hoodie up with scarfs or snoods or some other type of neck and face covering during the DAYTIME in rather mild 18C temperature, not exactly the weather for this attire. Now if the police had the power to stop and search them because they looked dodgy, these little rats would have been also off the streets. I also wonder what these kids went on to do later, or what they had done before, I wasn't reporting them and confessing to beating them up, or it would have been ME in trouble, what a joke.

By targeting Zombie knives you are only hurting the public that likes to collect unique items, no different to swords etc. It has been well known and documented that the most common knives used in attacks on people are kitchen knives. almost always being taken from their OWN kitchens. It just reinforces what I've said before. I'm pleased I don't live or work in a city. It has been 30 years since I was last in London and I've no intention of going back to that cesspit anytime soon. I was born a country boy and have lived all my life between the very small rural village I grew up in and the small town I currently live in. There's a lot to be said for being outnumbered by the local sheep population, for being able to go for a walk amongst the nearby fields and woodland without fear of being attacked. I don't think any amount of money would be enough to make me change my life and move me to one of our big cities.

Automatic 2 years in prison if you’re found carrying a knife for the first offence. Get caught again, 10 full years. Actually use a knife on someone, full life term. 100% you’ll see a huge drop in knife crime.

The crazy and ironic thing is the ones who are involved, both victims and perpetrators, will hardly watch this or be moved by this to make the necessary changes. It’s mainly adults watching and moved by these shows but they are so far removed and detached from these young people that shows like these are as insignificant as a drop of water in the ocean. There needs to be a holistic approach like what Scotland did to drastically reduce the knife crime epidemic that used to plague their society and communities.

We have to face up to the fact that a death penalty is really required. Nothing to do with the knives and all to do with an out of control sub culture that is not being addressed for woke reasons. Back in the 50s and early 60s most schoolboys carried a pocket knife and teachers would ask to borrow one. The embarrassment if yours was not sharp was painful. Camping in the same period I would carry a sheath knife with a 6+ inch blade and often a machete or hand axe. Equally as a 10 year old I often went shooting with an air rifle as the Forestry Commission was paying 2/6 in old money for every grey squirrel tail handed in. Quite a lot of money in those days. Were did we go wrong. Lack of discipline, open borders and a government that bans everything to show they are addressing the problem which only results in innocent citizens being charged with a crime because they have always carried a knife or tools in their car.

A few years ago Facebook decided to advertise these Zombie knives on my feed I complained to them about it being offensive and they tried to say differently. The advert kept appearing on my feed for weeks I complained repeatedly, eventually it sunk in and they apologised. Josh' was a beautiful boy with a lovely mum, I cannot imagine the pain, 41 years ago my brother, aged 32 and fit as a fiddle, died suddenly of a pulmonic embolism, the grief for all the family was horrific, I remember walking into the dining room and seeing my mum and dad their with their arms around each other sobbing 'my mum saying 'my baby', a death changes every dynamic a family ever had, but a terrible murder of a young life, I honestly and sincerely cannot imagine the forever impact of it.

We can blame knives all day long, but knives have always been around, are a common houshold item, and are only dangerous in the wrong hands. Clearly something else has changed. We have an ever growing subclass of deprived young men who feel they have nothing to look forward to in life and are therefore very dangerous. More legislation around knives does NOTHING to address the social, financial and educational inequalities that are creating these gangs of angry and disenfranchised young men in the first place. Change people's minds, then their behaviour changes. Not vice versa.
