@@DiraldirVersion numbers don’t work that way. The dev could release 1.0 after 0.2 or 0.3 and it would be completely valid.

Likewise, brother. It's one of my favorite games to hop into for a quick run. And goddamn, the man went all out.

I have 60 hours and no sign of slowing down, but I think calling it one of the best is an overstatement. The game is fun, but beyond the pure mechanics it just doesn't have the sauce. The weapon variety and enemy attack patterns are great, but there's ultimately no depth to the combat beyond holding attack and dodging the lazers, and beyond the fights there's just nothing to the game, and the update really did add to much bloat. It's a great game made all the more impressive by being made by one guy, but it's in the pool with some of the best games ever made and does itself a disservice by inviting comparisons to them. When I play it I'm frequently thinking "man I could be playing Hades right now." That said it's version 0.2 so I probably shouldn't judge it so harshly

@@lafiki999 Sure but the genre of these kinds of games aren’t particularly notable for their complex combat. It’s mostly all flavors of dash and dodge simulator. For a game that’s only had one major EA update, it could have launched in its current state and most would have considered it a complete game.

The ESRB should also let gamers know the hierarchy of loot rarity before they purchase so they can make educated decisions. Or maybe they can lobby the government to force a standard for the industry. I actually like how China has this baller red color for the highest tiers, orange is played out.

Rares can be endgame worthy but they need very specialized builds to get the most out of them. For example the vorpal blade is weak but attacks so fast that if you titan grip and run a shield bash build you can throw out like 6 shield bashes a second on top of 14 hits from the sword. Uncommons (light blue) are weak no matter what and you want to transition out of them by the 3rd floor. There are perks you can unlock to guarantee a rare wep by the 3rd floor too.

@@moonlemon09 More is however better in a game that is supposed to be semi-procedurally generated. The Vanilla game was fun, but it wasn’t replayable to the degree that it is now.

Because there’s always a chance at something better or at least different. If you are new to the update, you will want to try as many of the new weapons as possible

He just no-brained it. Picked weapons and upgrades at random with things like taking gold over visiting a shop when he had tons of gold, or picking up armor pieces he won't wear instead of ones he has open slots for. Can't blame him really, he won the run at least even if it was only to the Tiny Rogues version of the Mom fight.

might not be license free, both could have purchased the same soundtrack pack from itch or something similar
