I got their Tyler Bryant signature pedal. Two tube screamers in one housing with independent controls and the ability to switch between ts9 and 808 circuits. Awesome Texas twang on that thing.
Hey, more great pedals. It makes me realize that people fighting about rare and limited run pedals probably don't need to, since there are literally thousands of different pedals that sound great and are reasonably priced.
I met the Rodenbergs and bought a BCDeluxe at their booth at Guitar Summit, right when they released it in 22. Even got it autographed by Uli. You guys would know more about these pedals if you ever left your cozy island and showed up at Europe's largest Guitar fair!
As I live in Germany I once discoverd his pedals. They are killer and priced (too) low.. Much better than many hyped and overpriced other stuff. If you can get a Rodenberg then go...
The BL pedal sounds like a jubilee to me. Two channel amp with a transistor boost would match the gain on and off with the fat button too. And the colour to match ❤ great tones.
You can always tell when the demo person likes what they are playing. They actually play inspired. Great stuff by Pete right away when they turned the pedal on.
We‘re a small company working 7 days a week. I will build up pedals at a fair price. We do everything at my workplace. Milling the boxes with a CNC milling machine, soldering the circuit boards by hand (except some parts of the BL pedals), testing, packing, shipping. All done by us at my workplace in Germany.
I have the big Lukather pedal, the small Luke one and also the very 1st version for Luke the metal box one. In this video they used too much gain on the amp (or too much from the pedal in relation to the amp gain). On a clean amp as stand alone source of gain these pedals are unreal. Expecially the 3 in one. Moderate gain on both channels with different flavours, together for a high gain solo. It really sings and has all the gain you need for shredding if so inclined. The high gain channel below half way is a stunning low/medium fusion sound. Very expressive and dynamic. It is the interaction of the 2 channels that gets you the killer high gain solo sound. Not a metal eq curve, but a glorious guitar voice.
since quality affordable pedals have become rare and we get just almost tortured with overpriced and overhyped signature (pedal) stuff, these german made quality affordable pedals are great news! greetings from germany 😁
I’ve owned the TB Shakedown since the originals release date a few years back, super versatile and build quality like a rock solid 50’s Mercedes. I believe the new versions circuit is the same as original, but a bit more ergonomically friendly on the facia, especially the level controls. Many drive pedals have come and gone over the years, but the TB remains!
Greets from good ol germany!!!!! Rodenberg rocks, the BL-Deluxe is insane! Open ur eyes and mind and check out more "Made in germany", like OKKO or Vahlbruch!!!
I’ve used the SL Overdrive for about a year now. It is a great pedal, not as expensive as you would think and when one of the knobs fell off, Rodenberg himself offered to put a new one on for free, if I send him the pedal. Can’t praise the pedal enough, whether I sound like Steve Lukather is another matter…
It‘s a real True Bypass Kill Switch, so it has of course that ticking noise. It depends on where the pedal is placed in the signal chain. If you want no ticking noise place the Killmister between the Loop (preamp send - main input).
I think Andersons should do a consecutive montage of all the OD/boost pedals from the last 12 months to show how they all pretty much sound the same and no such thing as a bad pedal anymore 😆🤣
I love Steve L and when they started talking about a player that does it all, I think Steve Morse too. I should probably change my name to Steve and then maybe I can play better......and then there is always SRV. That does it. Time for a name change. Heading to the courthouse to change my name.
Imho SRV did not create that sound- Hendrix did. Hear me out- yes, I do realize they sounded different- but imo that was Steevie trying to do a Jimmy thing with the gear he had. I wish I could take credit for having discerned that myself but- in reality, I heard an interview with Steevie where he talked about it. He said Jimmy was his guitar hero and that he was always trying to emulate him, but because he used different gear- it ended up creating a new sound that he made his own. He gets pretty close to Jimmy on Litte Wing but- it's still different because even if you handed him Jimmy's guitar and amp- he has such a unique pick attack and sense of rhythm- it's still going to sound like SRV. Steevie was extremely aggressive and at times, intentionally sloppy- next time you're trying to emulate him, first play the rhythm- get that rhythmic chop going- now switch to lead but keep that same chop going and be sloppy as you play, bang it out and don't worry that you're hitting multiple strings. It's hard to explain but if you ever see someone do it, you're like 'Really? that's it?" yep- that's it. SRV's tone simply came from him being super passionate about what he was playing and really, really digging in and getting into it. That won't help you know what notes to play- but if you know the notes, this will help you sound like Steevie when you play them.
Boulevard Of Broken Dreams the tremolo is double tempo compared to this. Great video boys but that was the 100th time you play it wrong with the half tempo tremolo 😄
Don't know if it is a micing or speaker choice here, but these all have a distinct cut in the lows and a fairly unpleasant mid range. It sounds uncharastically boxy to my ear to and not at all full. I'm sure they are good pedals and you both are good players, but tones here do not get on with me.
I bought one of these 3-4 years ago because another famous guitarist had his own model. It seemed cool at first but honestly it was a phase. I don’t think these pedals will catch on.
