The one MAJOR negative with these flights would be looking at them through the eyes of a dart shop. While these are new it's also a tremendous investment to carry something that people may or may not buy repeatedly over time. More like a one and done type of thing. 3 different length and 5 different colors and on top of that these things won't be cheap. Let's be honest, a lot of players might see these as a gimmick but are still curious to try them. So they'll buy a set, try them out but not feel confident enough to make the switch to tri-fins. The old saying "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" comes to mind. My best guess is that these won't be around long no matter how much I liked them. Too much extra inventory for a dart shop to keep up with, too much competition in the rigid moulded flight market and too expensive. Again, I think this is something that players will buy once to try them out and not notice enough difference to want to make the permanent switch.
Love condor axe so ill be buying a set or 3 just to have as you say probably won't be about for long . Love the thought of seeing more treble bed when I've 2 already in
Hi WW. It seems that sellers are taking a bit of a chance on these. A-Z Darts, Darts Corner, DartsShopper have a few different types of tri-fin flights. I have seen a few offered on Ebay also. Maybe folks are giving these a try :).
Love that you’re still using the Braves, I couldn’t be happier with mine. Great review on the tris but I think I’ll stick to what I’m used to. Felt like these bring your shots slightly lower and you had to adjust to bring them up to match your normal throw? I mean they do look great and the advantage on vision is nice, but I’m not convinced they’re onto something with them. As always tho, great to see the content you keep treating us to. Ps, I tried out your throw style, a straight dart was non existent.
Thank you for another great video. I really like the tight group/minimal deflection about these tri fins. I will pick up set when they are widely available.
Not good enough, too old and no desire to travel around playing darts for starters. I consider it a blessing to be able to stay home getting paid to do RU-vid and have more success ($$$) than the vast majority of dart players
Hugh fan of Condor Axe flight system, so this morning after watching your video got on line and found a dart shop ln Japan that them had in stock so ordered three sets in short red at $10.00 per set. Just looked again $9.25. I guess exchange rate, shipping pricey but still cheaper than other dart shops if I could get them
That's awesome! I imagine that A-Z Darts will be selling them in the $20-$22 range so to be able to get them for 1/2 that plus expensive shipping isn't too bad. Watch how quick the shipping is though. You'll have them soon I bet
Enjoyed the video, and looking forward to constantly scanning the web to find them. Only tri-fins I’ve used are the Darts Clearance version. Not bad, but I don’t like having to use the tri-fin specific shafts. I’ll definitely give these a try.
I'm just getting into darts, and I remember the darts from when I was a kid that had integrated flights & stems. Now that I'm getting into them as an adult, it seems those cheap darts with the integrated flights are called "bar darts," and they're still sold. I'm kinda looking at the high priced integrated flights and thinking "wait a minute... how are these different from the cheap bar dart flights?" It almost makes me think I want to try getting the equipment to make 3d resin printed injection molds and have at it...
Hi, Tony, I designed a set of darts that are triangle shaped and Custom-Made Darts made them for me and of course were perfect They fly well and are much easier to hold. I do have an old set of triangle flights and stems, but the Condor Axe 120 look a lot better.
Worldwide; really nice interesting review. I can't wait to try a couple sets. Hopefully we'll be able to get these from our favorite dart shops soon. Thanks and keep the videos rolling.
I'm sure they'll be showing up soon. They were released on the 19th or the 20th in Japan so I'm guessing the American and UK shops will have them in a few days or so. Problem is... they're going to sell out almost instantly.
Love it. FYI subscribers..I bought different sets of darts from mr worldwide over the last few months. Well my new package came with my harrows and yaoyeah darts…lo and behold I was also thrown in some free air wings, some molded flights and some l style. Thanks a lot…love it here from nyc
If molded flights are so good why don’t all the pros use them? I know some do. I think amateurs get hyped up to spend money and most accessories don’t help you score better at all. I think the best use of money to get better is to buy darts. Find a set you throw best not like best. That takes hours of throwing, keeping score and averages. Don’t worry about what anyone else is doing, being a crowd follower. I can tell you I like silver points and everyone around here seems to hate them, it’s silly. I can use P600 grit on the first 1/4 inch and they stick pretty darn well. I like when the point looks like part of the dart.. Maybe you don’t. Oh well.
Let's have a look down the PDC order of merit starting with #7 Chizzy. He uses them. So does... #8 Peter Wright, #14 Dirk, #15 Ross Smith, #18 Gilding, #19 Searle (L-Style), #23 Schindler, #24 Clemens and the most popular player in the world right now and league leader in the PDC premier league #26 Luke Littler. To answer your question as to why don't ALL of them use moulded flights... sponsorship conflicts. But as you see a fair few of the best players in the world use them. 9 out of the top 26 players do. That's a large percentage considering how new these types of systems are. Any response to that or no?
I can’t argue with that. Sponsorships maybe, but any company can make molded flights right? I think that it’s questionable that flights make a difference with the average player. You may have more fun with them and that’s ok. I think finding the correct set of darts is more important and that was my point😁. I do enjoy the channel and know it’s your job to keep people informed on new things. I appreciate what you do.
@frankol4575 Pros got where they are by using the same setup. sponsors aside some will just stick with what they're used to as long as it works for them since it's their livelihood. Personally prefer the molded flights as long as u have the tapered points. the shape is always the same, never get robin hoods, never have to worry about flights popping off or becoming looser after a tight grouping, don't have to worry about punching your flights and having spare rings. Of course just putting in the hours is going to be the only thing that improves your game. I didn't switch to molded flights because i though they would improve my average, but the small QOL/ peace of mind changes are definitely worth it to me.
Great video WW ! What an amazing product. Thanks for keeping us up to date on the latest offering in the dart world. I will have to scour the web to find a set. Well probably 2 sets. I am kind of excited to give them a try. I do like the Condor Axe flights so I think I am going to really like these ones.
Another commenter said they should be available in N. America May 1st. I can only assume they will be available elsewhere around then too. Hopefully you find a set or two 👍🏻
I really enjoyed this video. The only tri fin flights I have ever used are from Darts Clearance. I don't mind using them and they fly very similar to standard 4 fin flights. Condor Axe is my favorite flight / shaft combo system hands down. The colors offered for these tri fin flights really look nice. I would definitely purchase a set and very likely would be a repeat customer.
Hey WWD; another great video and another great review as usual! But I think you "hit the nail on the head" when you said that these flights will more than likely be expensive and hard to find due to limited stock. But as always if I can stumble upon a set at my local shop, then may give them a try. Still have and like the Winmau Fusion flights (standard, intermediate); have them on my steel tips and my soft tips darts. Every once in a while you may get one of those wild deflections but very minimum. Keep the videos coming!
Thank you. Yeah, I could imagine dart shops could get carried away trying to keep up with the grossly expensive overhead trying to supply these types of flights. The market is saturated right now a bit isn't it? These are worth a try for sure but I don't see too many making a permanent switch.
I got a chance to try these a couple weeks ago and I REALLY liked them. I am a front gripper and the only way I can get the dart barrel to land on a decline (point down, flight up) is if I use a front weighted short barrel. If I throw a straight barrel it always lands perpendicular or on an incline. With these I used a straight barrel and they were landing perfectly for me.
Thanks for the review. I'll definitely give them a try. One big advantage I can see is that there is one less fin to cause a deflection. Hopefully they will be available in the US soon. Thanks again!
Thanks! Yeah, that was definitely something I 100% noticed. To be fair, everybody throws differently and experiences might vary but I went all day and night without any sort of weird deflections. Literally not a single one. Of course the darts I'm using are smooth and equipped with Swiss Storms so that helps
That was the only real difference I noticed. I threw all day and night with them and didn't notice the flights bashing into one another. I kept waiting for some sort of crazy deflection and it never came. Honestly impressed.
Great video, as always 👍🏼 well, i use the 'Cosmo darts Delta' (Tri-Fin) as well as the 'Darts Clearance Tri-Fin', and they work pretty good 🎯🎯🎯 now I'm looking forward to try the AXE 120 and hope that Cosmo will release their delta again 'cause they are discontinued for several years now 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
Those Cosmo flights are VERY hard to get a hold of. Nearly impossible. If you look at the dart stand behind me there's two sets. The lime green ones on the top row, far right. The other set are the white ones on the bottom left. I wonder if they'll be tempted to bring them back after this?
@@WorldwideDarts I guess, now that most of the brands release their molded Shaft-flight-system "copying" the AXE, Condor has to produce something "new". This is why they release the 120. And I guess many axe-user will try the 120, so it will be a success.
Thanks world wide , i would have never even considered these until your video .... now id like to try them they do still feel a little gimmicky but if YOU say less deflections and they shoot straight without curving i can only imagine how they would perform on a soft tip board with all that extra room in the segments vs. Steel tip.
Funny enough... even though I have a Dartsbeat DBH100 about 5 feet away from me I never considered the soft tip side of things. Yeah, seems like it would be a nice little advantage with the larger segments. I'll do a lot more soft tip videos soon but I'm currently shopping for a decent tablet and waiting for something to pop up on flash sale. Then I'll bang out a soft tip review every so often. 👍🏻
@WorldwideDarts not sure if this will help but I wanted to say I have and recommend the Samsung galaxy s6 tablet not the newest but the price is decent and it performs great compared to the overpriced "crapple" ipad
@@WorldwideDartsI threw one very bad dart that stood up in the board and I usually throw flat. I threw the next straight across and through the fin. Caused it break and it didn’t last very long after. I actually managed to ‘robin hood’ another set of k flex which I thought was impossible. That left hole at the top right under that slightly reinforced part.
I’ve got to say these are one of the most left-field sets I think anyone could have. Smooth barrel. Screw in points. Three fin flights. WWWD Worldwide weird darts. And still a 180. Incredible!
That shipping was ridiculous. In general though, seems my Asian orders (Japan specifically) get here quicker than EU/UK orders. Which just boggles my mind. Flights look dope though, can't wait to try to get a hold of some.
It really was. I wasn't expecting them until late next week. I've noticed that ALL shipping is running really smooth right now. I mailed the giveaway darts to the UK and they got there in just a few days. The shipping from Double Top Darts and Dartshopper has been exceptionally quick as well. Makes for happy people that have addictions to buying darts from all corners of the earth 😂
@@WorldwideDarts Just picked up 2 sets of these on Amazon JP, won't be here for a while still, but I ordered another set of Target Japan darts, so said what the heck, was already paying for shipper. $9 for a set of the Axe 120
@@BADThreeXL Amazon Japan has been a game changer for all the different stuff that we both like. The shipping is crazy quick as well. It's awesome that we have so many options nowadays.
@@chrisgraves9430 Cheers Chris. It's nice being first for once. I'm always the last to get my hands on anything new being in the USA. Not ideal when you have a RU-vid channel. But with blistering quick shipping from Japan it's a game changer. I can now get my hands on new products before they hit the UK/USA markets.
@WorldwideDarts just got back into darts, finding my darts land flat no matter the configuration so may give these a shot! I've adjusted my throw as well! Darts have just changed soo much in the years I haven't played and your reviews are just awesome and help out alot
@@xzemt310 Thanks! Glad to read that the vids are helping. You're absolutely correct though... if someone has been away from darts for a little while they may as well be living in the dark ages. The technology with blade wire dartboards has improved a lot. All the specialty points that reduce damage to flights and all the new moulded flights. It can be quite overwhelming.
Right! My dad was a champion archer and I've always wondered why the tri fin hasn't been more popular. Maybe we were all waiting around for an actual decent set of tri fin flights that work as well as the standard dart flights
@@WorldwideDarts In the early days darts had three feathers. I think four emerged with plastic as it was much easier to produce. Although I had some badly made plastic flights with three fins :P.
