I work with someone who is openly bringing over family members for NHS treatment, that is too pricey from where they're from. It's all above board too.

They aren't misleading words. They are asylum seekers. They're illegal immigrants the moment their asylum application is rejected. The term asylum seeker does not imply they have a legitimate right to remain in the UK, it means their status has yet to be determined.

the majority of them don't. The UK takes a tiny minority of the refugees. Generally the ones coming here it's because they speak English or have some family here. Vast majority of them are in Italy, Greece, France, Germany, Turkey, Lebanon. Tiny minority come to the UK. It just feels like a lot because UK foreign policy created literally millions of refugees when we joined in destroying Iraq, Libya, Syria, so even when a tiny tiny fraction end up here, that's still a lot of people.

But of course.... they'll be able to pay them less than the going rate and claim money from the state for employing them.

The conclusion was that no matter how many you let in there will always be more. We help them best by having a strong economy &sharing our technical expertise.
