@Vincenzo / Eliud has put us on the brink. But as you say, age is not on his side, and he probably has another year. 69 seconds is a lot! He also wants to win all the majors, which means it's difficult to fit in Berlin which is the most likely record-eligible course to break the world record. Maybe he'll go after it next year and leave NYC to 2024. Also possible is to organise a special record-eligible race for him with other runners competing.

Looking at the 400mH finals again it is just insane. The #2 and #3 athletes of all time (over 0.3 seconds over #4 all time) are in the same race, and the camera man can't keep them in frame of McLaughlin. The time and margin of victory really is hard to wrap my head around. I remember watching it live, and when she ran out so strongly, I thought the pressure had gotten to her and she was gonna struggle coming home.. then Sydney just kept going and gapping the field. I don't know what new training techniques or strategy we've found for the 400 hurdles, but on both the Men's and Women's side, possibilities are being rewritten!

Thank you for putting together an outstanding video. Just a couple of points. Duplantis' name is Armand, and he is certainly not from Sweden. Mondo was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was able to gain Swedish citizenship by virtue of his mother being a Swede. This makes it easier for him to compete in the European track circuit, which is far more lucrative than competing in the US. If, as you said, he can continue to dominate the sport for another decade, he might one day be considered the greatest ahead of Bubka.

Kipchoge should be on top. From my Norwegian perspective I also think Jakobs 1500 and 5000 meter golds are far above Warholm, despite Warholm has the world record. 400 meter hurdles is too small a sport. Its like comparing running to rowing. I bet much more people row than run 400 meter hurdles. And what about the triatlon world records of Blummenfelt? Triatlon is much bigger than 400 meter hurdles.
