Yes this is that USA game video that was removed earlier. Yes it's fixed now, yes it was fixed in a scuffed manner. But listen it's up now okay so just watch it again, it's a good video anyways. Also while I'm here just a quick shoutout to all of you for still following the channel. We're slowly approaching the 2 year mark and it's great. Special shoutout to the Patrons that are all in the description and also our latest insane 100$ patron boi...THOMAS! Thomas has a good name, you all should look to him for inspiration okay. Anyways love you all and the shaving/bald videos is coming Saturday/Sunday. There's a backlog so gotta go through it ya know...
To be fair, it's over a period of multiple days, so it's more of a series of battles. I had an absolutely insane late-game clash even bigger than that in a Kaiserreich game as Japan once, when the CSA (after an american civil war that went into 1943) decided in 1947 to try and take Hawaii from the Japanese. Something like 20 carriers on both sides, and close to a thousand land-based planes. The Americans alone brought easily close to 300 ships. The waters around Hawaii were the biggest damn ship graveyard on the planet by the time it was finally over, and somewhere around 50k Marines were wiped out failing the landings. Shit was like the nightmare offspring of Jutland, Midway and Iowa Jima put on all the drugs.
Tommy... please I can feel myself fading... please do the alpha male move and... help me get an EU passport....... Im so cold tommy.... it's getting so dark....
This reminds me of an Italy game I once had (pre man the guns) where everyone was laughing at me for rushing carrier 4s but then I obliterated the entire American fleet.
Tommy i don't know if you'll ever read this message but i've got an idea when you create your tank template click on the zone where you select the way it appears on the field and select the infantry guy with artillery than put a Marines name and the Shark image so if coastal reconnaissance happens they won't understand that's tanks, and they won't put the mouse on the division to see the division template
So basically my assessment from what I just watched (07:46) the reason why Tommy lost more ships than he should’ve in the initial battle was because his navy was being trained a lot, which resulted in damaged ships. Because I think he forgot to repair them that meant that some of the ships that entered the battle were already damaged meaning that it wasn’t surprising that the Japanese naval bombers were able to destroy some of his cruisers and destroyers. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think that’s what happened.
You were losing that first battle. He had more than double your light attack. Both of you were losing screens but you were also losing capitals and having them retreat so your escort efficiency stayed high while his dropped from the screen losses. If you went on never repair always engage, I'm 90% confident that you end up with 20% of your navy remaining. Not completely confident because there's a good deal of randomness in naval battles but you can't beat 1300 light attack with 600.
Round 2 of the naval battle, you've got more than double his naval bombers participating and 4 times his AA. Japan meanwhile still has the Hosho in his fleet ruining his carrier sortie efficiency. This leads to heavy capital losses, the carriers retreat, and the screens are slaughtered by the capitals.
U know i saw an usa that beat a 4.8k light attack italy with 2.5k but with 40k torps. Torps are not bad but u cant spam torps cuz u screens will get wiped. If u can wipe his screens with enough light attack but have more screens than he has u win
