Havik needs buffs though. He needs to get the same treatment Quan Chi, Rain and Reptile have received so far. New moves, and buffing some of his current moves somehow.
No he is objectively the worst character in the game, however some kameos like Mavado and Kano make him far more usable at least, ESPECIALLY Mavado. The biggest problem that holds him back is how slow his low and mid starters are: any plus strings he has SHOULD allow him to at least get his low in before getting beat by a d3 or d1, but they don't. So whenever Havik is plus, the only options he has are poking or throwing. He is a LOT less threatening than other characters with good plus frames because of that, which is what makes him so bad. HOWEVER, Havik's standing 2 1 string is +6, which guarantees his sweep to hit if the opponent tries to poke (Havik's b4 is 12 frames). This is what really makes Mavado work for him, since Havik has one of the few popup sweeps in the game, allowing Mavado to give him a full kombo off of a sweep. Basically every time Havik does his standing 2 1 string, he has a really good mix where the opponent either ducks and eats a full combo, or blocks and eats a throw, which Mavado can also convert into a full kombo. It's a true 50/50, the only escape is armor.

Objectively every character is better than Shang Tsung so he’s definitely the worst character and is only good in one form and still gets outzonned by non zoners
@@thzcrossbowsonly9329 he's not worse than Havik but he's definitely not good either, you're right Shang being out zoned by other characters is ridiculous. The entire point of his Young form is to be a zoner and he can't even really do that
I found out Havik can get two Neoplasm pop-ups at mid screen if the second one comes off his f4. The timing is tricky and he needs a kameo to catch afterwards to convert further, but it makes for a really high damage low-resource connector.
As a Havik main Mavado is great for him. Havik still needs major buffs though so that can be good with more kameos and be good when he doesn't have a kameo available either. You still won't see Havik be played at many major (well done to WizeGemini for beating RewindNV with Havik though) tournaments until he gets some buffs.
Havik isn’t the worst Kharacter in the game. He’s just not easy to use for players like myself. I like to get up close and personal and Havik is more about resets and frame traps.
he still needs a buff regardless, he may be good enough for someone skilled to use him. however his moves have way too many gaps in them, blood ball is slow, BF2EX can get crushed by a ex getup, unless you wait ofc. but the slightest hit just makes it go away. same with BF1EX and db3 is painfully slow on startup. wish that was quicker tbh and maybe led to a grab command if ex, i feel like havik should be the jax we didn’t get in this game. brawler/grabber tournament lvl or just going up against some very skilled, they will blow it. however mavado has surely helped him out a lot and made me enjoy him even more just like when i picked him up in the beginning of this game
Dude give some tips pls. I just can't get the string b22=>bf1=>b22=>db1=>uK I just can't get Mavado to appear at the point when i perform db1. I tried buffering, i tried to press it almost simultaneously. I can't get the timing.
I don't know I'm just saying as a fellow havoc main his combo potential with Movado is crazy I once hit a 23 combo that did 883 damage I'm just saying he has potential my guys
My friend mains Havik and I don't care what you say. 1 kameo doesn't make a character great. I vouche for Havik players when I say he needs help. Too many gaps and some of his pokes puts him at a disadvantage in some match-ups.
@@combosensei the longer the combo the more gravity makes it fail for me, I wish he had a more consistent ender. They need the command grab to always connect or shit do something
theres a secret technique make sure input shortcuts on then do dbu(down back up) and the hit kameo and special move button at some time and do it in one motion or no work 👍🏾
