They Sent Apex Predators To Kill Humans, But We Tamed Them Instead | HFY | A Short Sci-Fi Story #story #ai #hfy #aliens #scifi #stories #battle #humanity #myths
😊. That resonates with me. Someone showed me that tarantulas purr if stroked and the legs end in very paw type pads. I am really adverse to spiders, but even I was tempted to pet a spider. I didn’t but it WAS fun to watch. So, yessss, this is us.😂❤
Ok so the picture shows a dragon so if dragon’s were sent to kill humans maybe the aliens should have done research and not send a creature most humans would love to be friends with.
I agree with you. I would love to meet a dragon. Especially if it can fly and give me a ride. And become a good friend, and have a deep mind to mind bond.
I enjoy these stories, but I do have one point that bugs me. There always seems to be a single protagonist, usually a captain, who leads the fleet, leads the ground forces, leads the diplomatic councilors, and still has time to be the honored hero.
Redditors are shitty writers. That character is usually also a self insert. They also use the exact same descriptors for how "awesome" the human ship/weaponry is and the aliens are always predicatbly arrogant and dumb except for that 1 guy that becomes the human MC's best friend and usually is the in universe narrator.
I remember another similar story alien Predators sent to eat all life on Earth, then dy off before an alien invasion. Humans save injured predators which become super watchdogs. I would be delighted if anyone gave me pointers to that story. Note in the story I am hunting the Predators are not sapient, only smart powerful and loyal animals I believe the Predators needed vitamin A to survive. The alien invaders felt the predators would die because Vitamin A was not in their diet when they were unleashed on Earth or on any other planet the Aliens released them on. I hope this helps someone find the story I want to read again and not forget it again.
Whoa, hold up, wait a sec! So, we have a translator for them to ask for sanctuary, then one gets lost in the city and we use that one to start basic language crafting, because we don't have a translator? What?
They really didn't do their research. We will literally try to pet anything at least once. We have dangerous animals as pets simply because we like them. A good portion of us would love to be able to have conversations with other species.
So a Captain becomes the central focal point? Does anyone believe that a Colonel or General wouldn’t have tried to supersede a captain on something of this importance? Heck even a Major would have been more likely.
This was definitely not what i thought the story was about. I thought a aliens race sent non sentient dragon to destroy humans. Not dragons asking for sanctuary. I was thinking in the line of having them as pets. Also the language barrier is also confusing as they have translation devices they just mentioned they used it before.
Was ok for the first part, but anything past that shows obvious inconsistencies common for unedited GPT outputs. I don't mind using AI tools, but not editing the story for continuity is just insultingly lazy.
Nice concept, a bit "abbreviated", it sounds like a detailed Treatment: "I have this idea for a story arc, here's how I've developed it so far, and if someone will give me an advance I'll write it up in probably 22 chapters..."
OMG there is that word again 'palpable' .... it seems to be a key word that pops up in these stories that are overloaded with way too much repetitive emotive fluff that really only serves to get in the way of the story.
Many of these stories get shared from 1 story site to another and yes sometimes they vary With subtle changes between them though quite often duplicated in their entirety.
A good story that could have been great. Lose the forced CC. Change scenes, and get an AI that can add emotion and depth to the characters. Or use a human narrator!
I am so tired of stories like this. It's decent but the constant repeating crap, means I just skip it, if not the entire video. We know he's a Captain but it's stated a number of times. Military precision - Well no S***, he's a Capt. in the military! It's the constant repeating of these type of words/phrases.
