A little funfact about CLOY: The lead actor and lead actress got married after filming the drama, they're still happily married and are having their second baby this year. Idk, I just think it's more fun watching the drama knowing that they ended up falling inlove in real life. Edit: The drama was filmed in 2019, it was confirmed they were dating after the drama ended. They got married in 2022.

In my honest opinion, out of all Kdrama I've seen yet. This one stands out the most as a special one. Amazing show and cast and even more amazing that the main cast got married after the show.
Sad fact: The closer NKs live to the SK border, they are more influenced by the S.Korean culture. One of the scenes where a soldier watching kdrama wasn't just a comedy. They are actually one of the first to experience kdramas, movies, kpops, etc. So the authorities actually formed a force in the military to track and crack down soldiers secretly watching the shows. When they get caught, they are sent to the prison/camp. (2024) 2 teens (civilians) got caught watching kdrama were sentenced 12 years of labor camp.
Honestly I thought this was overhyped but no, it was big for a reason. And to know the actors also fell in love and now are happily married with a kid is just amazing
There are extra videos at the end of each episode, after the extra video they give the preview for the next episode. Don't skip them, some are important to the plot😊

Oh I love this show! It’s got everything! Romance, drama, humor, action, suspense, heartbreak, you name it! And now I get to watch you all enjoy it which I’m so excited for! By the way, mandatory military service for North Korean men is minimum 10 years and women it’s 7 years. There is no pension after service but from what I understand, you can move up in rank and be well-off if you toe the party line and excel or you you know someone who can pull strings to get you into a decent job. I don’t think it’s my kind of place.😂

For reference, since South and North Korea use the same language, there is no major communication problem, but in North Korea, the dialect is strong and the words used are slightly different, so there are many words that even South Koreans do not know.
The motif of "Crash Landing on You" is the incident on September 12, 2008, when a South Korean actress who was enjoying a leisure boat at Incheon Beach lost her direction and moved to North Korea. She met a handsome North Korean man on the coast, and while talking to each other, she was chased by a North Korean patrol boat and eventually ran away.

Another great kdrama that goes into south and north relations is King 2 Hearts and they really touch on the politics and the citizens perceptions, it is an old drama but it is really good in my opinion
