Watching your vids just reminds me what I like from small TCG shop and why I was thinking about opening one. Community, regulars, fun kids, great fun all around. Thank you for bringing a smile to my face!
Agree with what you mentioned at the beginning about the diagonal cuts. PSA does not seem to mark that down, I've seen many 10s with a diagonal cut. Probably depends on the grader too since it's always a crapshoot.
Loved opening some banger packs in my fave store with some great people for my birthday! Always fun coming down and working deals! Love these style of vids too man 😎
Im not a big pokemon fan but the art for some of the cards are really nice. You guys made me buy a booster box of twilight and i got that kieran card. Now to decide if i want to keep or sell it. 😅
I have played pokemon since release and used to collect. As someone that hasn't collected for 10 years, what would you recommend to buy as a start for my collection?
Years ago I had all the pikachu poncho's in psa 10 and sold them for a couple hundred bucks when I stopped collecting. And now I see them getting sold for thousands... So painfull... :(
Love these videos, they're really fun and interesting. One thing I don't get is the borderline obsession with grading (a general thing, not specific to you), I really don't get it unless it's just to up the value for selling a card. Just feels like such a risk for no real benefit to send your cards over the atlantic for them to be graded by a close to minimum wage person who's not really an expert spending a minute per card if that in most cases and then send it back. Just feels like a recipe for getting the card damaged.
I don't know anything about the economics of card collecting/trading/selling but can someone explain why anyone would sell their cards for 55% of market value? Love the shop vids tho.
Is 55% cash normal in this world? Sounds like a terrible deal honestly... (Ofc from your side I get it to have people lean towards the trade in option, but still)
