Through out this recap I was thinking, wouldn't it be a great twist if he turns out that he really isn't Samaritan but Nemesis and boom it happens. Glad the creator went with the twist and not the tortured ex-hero because he ended his brother.
@@user-sk4wf3ve6z I just figured it was based on them needing a twist XD I completely missed the heavy emphasis on ice for Samaritan and fire for Nemesis
This was really a nice twist, and makes villains more complex and interesting, Nemesis was evil not for the sake of it, but because he was so angry at the world for all the tragedies he suffered, and despite hating his brother for defending this unjust world, he still loves him and never meant for him to die, and when he lost the last family he had left because of his own destructive anger, he regrets his actions and commits to keep it under control as an act of penance for all the destruction he cause on his own will
It only makes sense that he was Nemesis because he could feel his hammer. Samaritan wouldn’t have been able to feel it because it’s not part of him, it’s part of Nemesis.
Well it the beginning it's said that the hammer is the only thing that can destroy Samaritan. So even tho Joe was Nemesis, the movie probably tried to make it seem like Joe could sense because we thought he was Samaritan at first.
Here’s a cinema rule, if anything starts “there were once two Brothers” and you meet one of the brothers later in the movie chances are really high he’s the other brother. This may or may not include, one brother was good the other was bad, in which case we will meet bad brother doing good or vice-versa when first seeing him in the movie, and there will likely be a short maybe 1 min sequence where he will go back to his evil ways to show how much of a badass he was, this will be accompanied by guitar riff naturally, but will snap out of it because of the innocent belief of a child/dog/small creature some may consider cute
It was pretty obvious that he was Nemesis. Him reacting to his hammer was really all the evidence you needed, but the shame of his past really hammers it in.
You've officially become my favorite movie summary channel. Dark humor is like a kid with cancer, and your sense of humor is at higher risk of negative experience with law enforcement.
This is a good example of “the journey is what’s important” I saw the twist after the first scene and still loved the tension and journey the characters went through. Fun movie.
Ngl in the movie they kept name dropping Samaritan and the antagonist was like "I'mma adopt this dead supervillain name for a war " which made me believe that Nemesis was the survivor
Although I kinda saw the twist coming, I enjoyed it. Looking back, by favorite hint was him explaining how easy it is to destroy things but it is therapeutic to fix stuff
Samaritan was a great flick, and the fight at the end where he goes Rambo on the guys was one of Stallone's best fight scenes (and the dude is 76!). Honestly, the only thing I really didn't like in this movie is the hammer itself, they never explain anything whatsoever about it's mechanics.
It’s a hammer. It goes Whackity Whack. If you get it by hit, it’ll probably hurt. If you say “Hammer Time” while wielding it you won’t summon anything. Mainly because Vanilla Ice isn’t real; he’s really Grape Juice Ice. So, like I said. It’s just a Screwdriver.
@@zach11241 I would agree with you......... but it VERY CLEARLY glows. its blatantly obvious it isn't a normal hammer. if it never glowed and was shown to be a normal hammer, you would be correct. but because its clearly not a normal hammer, your wrong and its dumb they didn't go into what exactly the fuck it is and how it works. it would be like if they made the lord of the rings and went "and sauron created the one ring, pouring all his malice into it........... NOW LETS DESTROY IT!" us: wait wait wait, but why is the one ring important? them: no reason, they just have to destroy it! us: .............. but why? why do they have to destroy it if it isnt important? them: but it is! us: how though? them: just cause! that's the equivalent of this this movie. they tell us the hammer is indeed important, but don't really explain anything about it. oh it can kill this guy! but nemesis is really strong and can heal and his brother died to fall damage. how is it important? IT JUST IS, OKAY!!!!!!!
I figure out the twist early so while I was watching it I was looking for evidence that he villainous. I notice that the scene where he got knife attack while he was gripping the knife it look like he wanted to stab the attacker with the knife before controlling his anger and decided to crush it instead. If he was a good guy he won't be tempted to stab him with his own knife.
Wolverine wouldve stabbed him and hes a good guy. Batman would've stabbed him and he's a good guy, I think. Deadpool would've stabbed him, shot him, and then roasted him and he's a good guy... sort of.
@@Tessuroh 2 out of your 3 example are Anti-Hero and Batman is consider a character that borderline a anti-hero. Wolverine and Deadpool in the comic had even killed children and wolverine even kill his own kids in one of the old storyline. Even if Batman going to stab someone he not going to stab them in the head much less a punk teen, where Nemsis was tempted to stab that teen in the head. If Samaritan at that time people thought he was actually a Anti-hero he would have not hesitate to bash Nemesis head open with his own hammer, this universe it seams Samaritan was viewed like Superman so they would be shocked that he was just killing them like nothing. If Samaritan at that time that they believed he was, is a guy that just kill bad guy, everyone would be scared to go after him because they know he would rip them apart with No Mercy..
It seemed so obvious that he was nemesis the first time he denied being Samaritan. He did a good job of telling it like a fact and not like he was hiding it.
I'm a complex man but when it comes to MM I'm a simple man, he uploads a video, I watch & I like it & I suggest you all should do the same. One of the best movie "reviewers" out there.
Why should we all do the same? What if the recap is bad, or the choice of film for the recapitulation is bad? And it is not a review, these types of videos are suddenly popular he saw the film and offers you a chewed version...
@@ozymandiasultor9480 @Ozymandias Ultor 1: I said I suggest you do the same, didn't say you had to. 2: If the recap is bad then obviously you wouldn't like it lol however I've never seen him do one, though I've not seen his very first videos so maybe he sucked in the beginning. But now there mostly all good. 3: Can you not read where I said "reviewer"? Lol
I've watched a few of these movie/show/anime/... recapped things now and having an actual person speaking, sometimes interjecting with some humor, really makes it 10x better.
The twist worked really just because of Stallones personality. Hes a great guy and from creed we see hin play the retired protagonist so well. So when i heard he was nemesis i was pretty suprised.
it is unfolded, his clothing matches both brothers clothes, he keeps memories of his brother, he constantly says that Sumaritan is dead, he knows how to fight and craft
Dude I just came across your channel and no joke you are funny. My wife and I have been sitting here just laughing our asses off listening to you you are awesome dude. Thank you so much. I'm definitely subscribing.
Your way of summarizing movies is very refreshing, took some time to get used to jokes compared to EVERY, OTHER channel writing a basic summary into TTS
@@megajump454 Actually makes sense their home was burnt the parents didnt survive the story started with the other twin having anger except this time the "evil" twin goes away for a long time suffering
There’s only one problem with the recap. Nemesis didn’t mean to kill Samaritan, but the piece of ledge he was holding onto gave out, and he fell out of Nemesis’s grasp when he tried to save him.
Movie title is Samaritan starring Sylvester Stallone? Cool. Added to my list. So, Joe was actually telling Sam the truth after all. He really wasn't Samaritan. Great movie review. YOU'RE AWESOME! BEST REGARDS!
I actually enjoyed this film. I somehow knew that it was Nemesis the whole time. I think it was because of the way he overheated and how he kept having a hard time controlling his anger.
This is the channel I've been wishing for my entire adult life. I like movies but I feel they take too much time. I was halfway through the video when I realized I was watching at 1.5X speed. I turned it to normal but that just made you sound drunk and the feel became too slow like a movie. So I cranked it back up. I feel like I just enjoyed watching a full movie that didn't have any B.S. to sit through. I definitely like this! That NFT joke is what landed you the subscribe 🤣🤣🤣 too funny
Moral of the story: it's never too late to change. While what you do matters, learn and pursue integrity and you can still earn respect and break the shackles of hatred.
Bruh _what'chu mean_ you didn't see that coming?! He straight up murked that fool who pulled a gun in that 5v1 ambush in the alley! Straight up ripped the slide off the gun and planted it firmly in dudes aorta 😅 What Samaritan does that, other than the Punisher 🤣
Might be just me, but I caught the “Joe is actually Nemesis, not Samaritan” bit the moment he said his body gets too hot. Not going full biology mode, but I know that being angry stimulates blood flow (I think), increasing the body temperature and giving a person a flushed appearance. To me, that was a dead giveaway. A very well done one I will say though, and the twist itself woulda definitely caught a few people off guard
I had my suspicions at the very beginning, but it was 4:17 that sealed it for me, and I knew the twist was coming. That look of rage in his eyes as he just crushes the knife and forces the guy to his knees was way too obvious to ignore lol.
I knew it he was the nemesis it was so easy to know when he started taking about he was the other guy so I immediately thought that this movie has plot twist that the other brother died
I kind of suspected the twist when Joe reacted to the hammer getting picked up early on, but the scrap book is what really nailed it for me, like, why would a guy keep a sightings book of himself and not someone he'd be looking for?
This movie was good. A good plot, good acting and it was more than I expected. This will age fine with time. If you didn't watch it yet, now is the time.
@@megajump454 It did give me the idea tho, what if vergil won then became the good guy after, since the hero actually lost here what if it's like that here, vergil being a retired old man teaching like the son of nero or smth
