Lovely story. I love how the uncle respected himself and waited for death. I would have loved to know the land lady and Uncle Jungle’s reactions on hearing about her success😂. It’s a shame nobody reached out to help her. At least there won’t be any parasite coming to beg her because truly, she doesn’t owe anybody anything. She did it all by herself.

I love this story. Truly it is an inspiration to many. Laura’s character , her morals , kindness, love, selflessness, and humanity makes her standout in a class all by herself. She chose to maintain her integrity instead of taking the easy way out to throw her body around, she opted to work hard and eat bread by the sweat of her face. She stepped up to the plate and be the best parent ever to her younger siblings. For one so young ,she is an outstanding specimen of humanity. Her mother would be very proud of her.

I've listened to hundreds of these stories and watched plenty of movies like these which have that same sentiment that just because your poor then "elevated" into money that you were nothing up until that point. If the man the woman wants to marry is not wealthy the family won't accept them.
