Nah, much more humble a situation. I’m retired from my career, no longer work , and close to the end of my mother’s life became her companion. I was housekeeper, cook, you name it to her. However, it’s not one person but two or three. Family full of snakes. My brother is trying to steal the family manse from all his siblings, a sister so jealous she can’t see straight, she decided my career was to be hers (copycat), it’s all she can do to be civil towards me, and an adopted daughter that has some really serious issues….immaturity, hate, jealousy, gold digging, greed. She hurts the most. She might be pregnant and if she is, she’ll eventually try to dump the baby on me if she is, and has long ago said as much. She isn’t mother material. However, if she is, having a baby would force her to have concerns for someone other than herself and grow up. The brother and sister are thick as thieves. All is a hot mess.
