They Turned Observation Duty into a Ghost Hunting Game - The Hauntings Surveillance 

I think the problem with the game is that evidence gathering and anomaly fixing are mutually exclusive. You either focus on one or the other. I think the best fix would be to tie certain anomalies to certain evidence. Like ghosts have a chance of leaving EMF after fixing them, or moved objects get fingerprints on them after fixing. That way, if you don't see an evidence after a certain number of anomalies, you could rule out that particular evidence.

I want an observation game where there is a section you are being chased so you run through the rooms you are observing to survive, but the objects can be moved so if you are being chased you wanna try your best to not knock or move anything over or it will be harder when you return back to observing. I also realize you could cheese it by intentionally moving objects but I’m sure if you have a fast killer trying to do that would be difficult

Maybe they could do something like in Obsideo where you guess the ghost by observing the various things it does in the location and how often it does these things. So you gotta know the ghost by the kind of things it does while you also still try "cleaning up" when you notice these things because having too much anomalies makes the location possessed too much by the ghost or something. .

I think my biggest takeaway from watching this game is that the more demands you place on the player's concentration (like lots of sneaky anomalies in busy rooms as well as looking for evidence), the less scary the game will be. Maybe this game's design wants to mostly focus on the challenge and memorization part, which is fine, but I definitely enjoy these types of games more when there's more of a focus on an unsettling atmosphere and spooky anomalies/evidence. Getting a good balance between that and the challenge level is pretty difficult.

they should put the EMF meter on the screen full time. The problem is you are always stuck in the emf mode to find anomalies to not die, and if it was on the screen all the time you could use the other camera modes more.

Honestly the ghost hunting in this game reminds me of whenever I played with friends in phasmophobia and tried to get like, one or two pieces of evidence to narrow down the ghost before the hunt. Trying to find evidence like dots or spirit box sometimes felt like it took FOREVER and the ghost wasn't doing anything other than maybe touching objects so we couldn't like, sit on top of where it just evented and spirit boxed it, or sometimes looking for fingerprints in certain rooms and it either 1. it never touched anything or 2. we weren't aware that it could leave fingerprints on certain objects (like coolers) so we didn't know what to look for.

you should use the photo mode to take pictures of the rooms at the start so you can maybe compare after for anomalies

Finally someone actually did this. Youwould think with all those ghost shows someone would had done that earlier. I have a hard time programing myself though so I am impressed that anyone can create such games.

Is this "brand new" in the sense that it added ghost-hunting as a core game mechanic in addition to the spot-the-difference core game mechanic? Because I remember this game, from what feels like two years ago or more. Insym and other streamers played it.

I like the concept but it was kind of frustrating to watch at times. The last map I literally couldn't even tell when an "anomaly" happened most times and the tree one especially felt unfair. Maybe if they made the anomalies less extreme and amped up the availability of evidence. I like the idea of combining OD and ghost hunting though. Just needs some updates to make it a bit more playable.

also, elevators door closing might have been because of the difficulty change, maybe harder difficulty makes it randomized?

This is a really cool game, but it would be cooler if each ghost type was unique, just like Phasmophobia. For Example: Poltergeist: More likely to cause object movement than any other anomalies. Oni: more likely showing itself as an anomaly than the other ghosts Shade: Never shows itself as an anomaly and/or rarely causes anomaly (which can change depending on the difficulty) Just so the ghosts are identifiable without the need of evidence

I honestly think I saw Orbies very early on the couch arm-rest in sitting room the one really long mission. I'm not looking for the timestamp though, I can't be bothered skipping that much. He skipped passed it fast though, so thought it wasn't orbs since it didn't have the chance to move lol.

Glad they gave the truck players their own mode! Also, I think this is by far the best Anomaly Hunter game (aside from Dead Signal) in terms of premise/lore. IoOD suffers from the fact that it makes no sense why you are watching some random person's house for anomalies, while this one you can already understand that you are hunting for ghosts.

This game makes the other (main?) "The Hauntings" game look very promising.

I would like the dev add a multiplier to how fast you find the ghost like 10min is 1.5x and after an hour it's like 0,95x and just 1.0x in between

You could keep different evidence on in different rooms and still try see changes I guess.. like u can keep dots on wit one camera and orbs in other.. no point just using EMF non stop, it helps spot things but u have to use other tools too like photo camera etc to cpmpare

I think the "unidentified evidence" means, ghost now can show one more evidence. I believe the ghost does nlt give out all evidence from start. Other ways you could insta find evidence and not even do the observation part

@Insym I'm pretty sure, you already played this game at an early phase, where it's just wanted to be an observation duty like game and it had only 1 map at that time and you liked the pace of the hard mode (being just an observation game). With the evidence gathering for solo gaming it's harder, but you can always switch down difficulity. for an Observation game that having a bunch of items, it should just like clumps up a group of objects that are placed close together and it would either together be affected by anomallies (either that by changing size, color or completely go missing): That would make rooms allowed to be decorated logically with tons of objects but still fair for players to remember That's just my opinion :)

You have tons of time to look for evidence, you're not playing insane correctly. You have 45 seconds + per report. You keep reporting instantly instead of using 30 seconds to look for evidence.
