👋 My name is Ryan & at age 30 I quit my day job. I used to work full time as a Sr. Front End Web Developer (I quit this job), & part-time as an adjunct professor teaching web development at a local university (I kept this job - I like teaching!). Both of my day jobs were awesome! But that couldn't change the fact that I'm completely addicted to the idea of building passive income streams that will allow me to retire from ever working a 9 to 5 job again.

There are websites that you upload an image and they give you the color code for all colors in the image. This may help save time and copy past each time😅

Really helpful video Ryan, thanks for posting 😊. I had started doing this when I wanted true colours of the American flag then also did some for fall themed designs but never really did much with them. Now after seeing your video I realise how it can save so much time so I will endeavour to do it much more often. Thanks again, good tip 😊

you can't directly, but you can use cmyk color proofing to detect if a color will be very different when printed. If you do a color picking from a mockup, you are probably using the same color the original designer used.

@@Dareanddoit you need a software that supports it, photoshop or illustrator, printfy design tool also has a swith to simulate cmyk when previewing the design

A good red is hard to find! I made an xmas ornament with a red that looked fine, but when printed ot was kind of a bright red orange color! Thanks for the tip I never thought of doung this.

Always convert whatever colors you use from RGB to CMYK mode, to avoid this kind of issue. Reason: the printing machine uses the CMYK for its output. For this reason, your RGB designs will be converted to this mode before printing. After conversions, there is usually a change in colour. So, f you do the conversion, you will see the exact colour the machine will print out. This idea is not rocket science, but most people struggle with it.

@@AN-ge2wm look for a video here on RU-vid. I don't use Canva. Or you can search for ''RGB to CMYK converter'' online and copy the hexadecimal code of the color you want to convert into the right text field on the online application. Once done, you copy the new color code to Canva, if you are okay with output, otherwise make adjustment for a preferred color. Note: you can not get brilliant colors in CMYK mode. You just have to look for something closer to the intended color.

I don't use Canva, so I don't know how you can do that in there. But you can copy the color code to any online ''RGB to CMYK converter''. Search for the phrase in quote on Google, and chose among the listed links. Note: CYMK mode don't render brilliant colors. You just have to make adjustment to something closer to your intended color.
