The fact that indeed the UN building has 7 doors is just destiny

What we need to understand is, bts could use their fame for so many other things but they are always choosing to use it to give hope to the people who really need it

I am so proud of them! They have come so far, like you don't hear artists performing at the UN that often, do you? They just do something new and iconic every single time!

I've been to The UN General Assembly room in The United Nation's Building in NYC. BTS walks out into the Art display hall and then out into the huge side courtyard. The move down into the UN's river front park that looks out on Manhatten. You have to be background checked, get special ID and go through two security check points to enter the grounds. There is an awe inspiring gravitas to being there. The large Gold wall with the UN emblem is gorgeous. I am so proud that BTS have given another great speech, this one is about climate change, and performed so beautifully there.

from giving flyers to people on the streets and asking them to come to their concert to performing at the UN and having global influence, I am so proud of them. They deserve lots of love and happines! 🤧💜

I am not army but I do love BTS and the fact that they care about the conditions that people live in around the world. They are a fine example of what Artist can do when they show how much they care. Also as a person in the USA I thank them for saying that they are vaccinated. COVID is a real problem here. Maybe other young people will follow their example and get vaccinated so we can get COVID under control

just thinking about how this is the first performance bts had outside their home country in almost two years and it’s at the united nations assembly hall. that’s. insane.

that is the United Nations Headquarters. nice that there are also 7 doors at the main public entrance where they passed through going out the building. as a trivia - these are 7 nickel plated ornamental doors donated by the Canadian Government. On the exterior of each one of the doors are 4 panels in bas-relief symbolizing peace, truth, justice and fraternity. and the shot having their back, the background was the NYC skyline across the Hudson River. Choreography and flow was so good. I would think the reason Mr. Son (choreographer) went in advance to NYC (a week before and even able to attend the VMA) was to do a look-see of the UN venue so he can plan and come up with the choreography and flow from inside the assembly hall going outside to show the facade of the UN HQ buliding and then to the outside grounds and show the skyline of NYC. Very brilliant and amazing planning and execution at its best. Their live singing here is even better than the official MV.

There really are seven doors on the north side of the United Nation's General Assembly Building. These nickel-bronze doors were a gift from the nation of Canada and each one has bas-reliefs symbolizing peace, justice, truth and fraternity. (From twitter ryuminating) ISN'T THIS CALLED DESTINY?

They filmed this the day before the assembly. In their speech they coined today's youth as The Welcome Generation. This song/performance tied in perfectly with their message of new beginnings and inspiration for tomorrow.

Exactly. Seven doors for seven members! This was pre-ordained. :P The energy and happiness and hope in this performance showed exactly why they're the perfect 'youth ambassadors'. Not just youth, but LIFE and hope ambassadors. This is beyond even the fabled Grammy stage (ahem). And at this rate, I swear they'll be the first to perform off planet, care of Jeff Bezos or Elon Musk or Richard Branson! Headlines be screaming: BTS performs while orbiting Earth!

This was all shot at the United Nations headquarters in New York City, indoors and right outside on the premises - what's interesting is that it's considered "international territory" (Wiki: "extraterritoriality is the state of being exempted from the jurisdiction of local law, usually as the result of diplomatic negotiations.") The UN also has main offices in Geneva (Switzerland) and a handful of other cities but New York is the original headquarters. I guess they filmed all this just the day before, which is amazing - and what perfect sunny blue skies to welcome them back with!

I am soo proud of them! Their whole journey comes to my mind🥺 From requesting people to attend their concerts to speaking in The UN! They are inspiration not only for the youth but for all! The future generations too! They convey positive messages through their music and their work! They have had soo much more difficulties in life than anyone could imagine! I would literally give up if I was in their position! Even in these dark days they became our sunshine ☀️. I cant return them anything because I cant. This has to be the reason why Son Sung-deuk was at the VMAs - since had no shot at winning (though he should have). He was their advance team, picking dancers and setting the choreo. And it WAS at the United Nations building in NY, inside and outside. The video was shot yesterday -

I cried so much as I was watching this live as I was just so proud of the guys that words can't begin to explain just how proud I was. I love this so much and the lads truely taught me to love myself and just be happy for who I am and not for who people want me to be. Also just seeing this performance is making me feel so proud that my heart is swelling with pride and it's about to burst.

That is the UN headquarters in New York. That's the famous grounds they were on. That's not the NY skyline. Since it's across the water that's actually New Jersey(native New Yorker and resident here) They are on the NY side. Beautiful performance. They have come so far. I am so happy for them.

The biggest competition for BTS is BTS themselves..They are raising the bar every single time..One may feel that with each new performances these boys have outdone their previous ones and they can't do any magic further..But then the next time, they do something even better and even more powerful work.The choreographers, the art directors, the men who handle the camera, the editors- they also deserve huge applause for their extraordinary work.

As far as I know, Their has never been anyone who has had the honor of performing at the UN at all. Google is saying, they are the first. This is a very special honor and BTS made history in doing this!!!!

No one has ever performed at the UN..this was a special because BTSA now has a role to promote the Sustainable Development goals of the UN for Climate Change to the youth. They are the voice of the young and future generation globally due to their positive influence on them. 100+ million fans ++. A force to reckon with ARMY! Not 100% sure but I think this is the 1st time any artist performed at the UNGA, because let's be honest most mainstream music doesn't really connect with what the UN is about so artists can't perform any of their songs anyway. Having said that, it is only fitting that BTS being UN Ambassadors, Presidential Envoys and active influencers of good will were given the rarest opportunity to perform their song; and also because their song's message is perfectly in line with today's dilemmas. I firmly believe that BTS should no longer be categorized as just a "Boy Band from South Korea" or the biggest "Kpop Group", they have surpassed that and are bigger than that. Yes they are still great musicians but their influence already goes beyond music, whether they believe in or not they are a beacon of hope to a lot of people not only the youth. They have the power to change people's lives even without the help of their beautiful music, even just through their actions, words and ideas. Why? because we listen and believe in them. And believe me when I say this, few years from now...all the young ARMYs and the babies who have ARMY parents and are now growing up during BTS prime are gonna change the future because they have amazing people as their role models.

1- BTS received Certificates, Appointed as Culture Special Envoy for the Republic of Korea by Korean President Moon. Enhancing the nation’s global status. Raise national dignity by enhancing the status of Korean Culture. 2- BTS received “Diplomatic Passports”. 3- This is third time attending UN, and second time asked to address the UN General Assembly. 4- BTS asked to perform the UN General Assembly. The night before, - BTS created “Permission To Dance” video, at the UN Building, NYC. 5- Sept 25th, BTS to perform at the Global Citizen Live 2021, NYC’s Central Park.
