Congrats! The sound off badge is actually specifically the devs trying to mimic the sound effects with their voices which I think is a really cute reward

I always love when devs put all their hatred into these levels.

If i had known the emote trick, invisibility might not have made me nearly throw my switch about 5 times.

Him asking “how short are these levels?” Hurt my heart. I knew final final test was coming.

This level made me rethink every decision I’ve ever made in my life.

Choctopus: can you image playing through this level just to miss the flagpole at the end? Me, who had to replay the entire level 3 TIMES because I missed the top of the flagpole the first two times:

There's six medals in the game; one for collecting all the Wonder Seeds, one for collecting all the 10 Flower Coins, one for touching the top of every flagpole, one for beating Bowser, one for collecting every Badge, and one for buying all the Standees (the character specific standees sold in the Special World are guaranteed to be new ones, so it's statistically worth buying those once you have 100-or-so random Standees).

my wife and i finally got the sound off badge last night. the spring jump section in the final level.....rage inducing stuff right there. mario wonder was one of the best games ive played in the last 10 years. i wish there was more.

After a few attempts, it gets easier. Just a tip with the parachute cap, always keep it open. It's timed to work with it being always open

mario wonder is the literal meaning of "if you think hard enough anything can be whatever you want"

The spring bounce and invisibility portions were torture 😫

Congrats Choc for beating the final badge level. I lost 99 lives to that woth Luigi, and got nearly 6 game overs with Nabbit, mainly due to that Invisibility section

Ngl it was really funny watching Choc forget how every badge that doesn't make your normal jump act different works. Seeing him fall off of the screen because he didn't feel like jumping during the jet run section made me chuckle as much as it made me want to take his controller

This game is my 4yr old’s first video game. I’ve been helping him along the way, but told him he’d have to finish the last level on his own!! Poor kid had a meltdown!!😂😂 Didn’t realize how hard it was gonna be, so I think I’ll knock it out for him after work today. He’s gonna need to practice a little more before he’s ready to take this down!!

I entered with like 96 lives. When I finally beat the course, I had half of what I started with. Counting all the 1-ups I got during the course from coins, I’m positive I died almost 100 times. And yes, most of the deaths were from Spring Feet.

The music level with the disappearing blocks was the hardest one for me. Took a lot of tries before i cleared it.

Most of the special levels were ok for me to get through, the final level took me over an hour to beat. Happy to see this game has some good challenge. Didn’t get a game over so that was good. 💫

That last special level.... Geez! I was playing with my brother and I think it took us a good 40-50 tries. I think the worst section was the dash portion; just kept missing the timing on the jumps off the Missile Megs. The spring portion was something else, too.

The sound off badge is the best reward for completing a game ever made

Loved how the editor just zooms in on the life counter every time he died

Tip for the crouching high jump section: DO NOT LET GO OF DOWN. You won't have to worry about quickly charging up a jump when you need one. All you have to do is just time the jump, and once you hit the ground, you should immediately start charging another jump.

I think climb to the beat took me more tries than the final final level

Normally I would make fun of Choc for a skill issue, but I can’t this time as I literally broke a controller trying to beat this level lol.

Played through this game with my brother as soon as we got our hands on it... needless to say, you will suffer just as much as Run for It or Champions road on the Final Final test with Sidequest. Because even if there's no collision... 4 people of different skills, with the ghosts, lives depleting four times as fast, and Crown controlling the camera... you're in for a treat Choc and I can't wait!!!

Solo playthough is done, but we still got more Mario Wonder content to go. Also, 25:04 You just have to jinx it lol

I still have yet to complete the final level, I’ve been through 147 lives (so far). This level makes me reconsider every life choice I have ever made.

Alright, that last part was really impressive. Took me like 13 tries on that last badge alone

The very last level peeved me to no end. A lot of cleanup was needed on the mechanics of the badges, and this level SHOULD have shown somebody that BEFORE they released the game.

Jumping to the beat induced so much rage in me to finish, and I still have to go back to get the second wonder seed!

Finished the game yesterday. Along the way also finished a couple of Secret Worlds came across while playing (Pole Block Allure + Way of the Goomba - they gave some fits but muscled through them). Went back to explore the map for more and after finishing the game to find any others did not complete. After failing on Jump! Jump! Jump! too many times have decided I simply don't need to do it, especially after seeing your runs through the other Secret World levels have not yet found/attempted. It was cathartic watching the deaths/fails everyone endures trying to beat these though. I'm going to move into other new games have not yet played and keep my memories of this one fond (it was great). You are very good.

Just finished this world 2 days ago and I’ve gotta say that badge gauntlet had me at wits end specifically that friggin Spring badge and to some extent the invisibility badge, like who thought bouncing around uncontrollably or not being able to see your character at all was a good idea😭 That being said I still think badges in general were a great edition to the game and I can see people doing some crazy stuff with them even if I never used like 3/4 of them, favourites had to be timed high jump, sensor and the wall kick badges. Great game though especially in the visuals department I’ll definitely be playing it again.

No way u cleared that jumping one so quickly-

Hardest parts were not knowing I can ground pound the second “level,” the second half of the lasers, and the invisibility jumping on those…fishes. Everything else especially the wall jump and the spin jump were insanely easy. Took me 50 lives

That f&$king spring feet part of the final level was so hard! I was only able to get through it with reviving through local multiplayer!

The emote trick absolutely trivializes the invisibility section, I wish I had thought of that!! That was a lot of pain.

On the semifinal level there's a hidden peach block above the mushroom block that has the elephant power up that's very helpful for the piranha plants.

Been playing this game for a couple weeks now. Really enjoying it. Some of these levels are so unnecessarily hard though. I enjoy a good challenge, but i still want to be able to beat the game though. Games are supposed to be fun, not stressful.

I just bought this game a couple days ago and can't stop playing. Once I got to the secret world, I turned around. 😂😂😂😂😂 I'm on the lava level now. I think world 6. Your the goat of this, even with all the deaths. Lmao

I did miss the goal flagpole at the end of my first run of the badge marathon. RIP. Didn't take nearly as long second time though :)

So my main issue with the Final-final level is the checkpoints; it would have made more sense IMO to have a checkpoint after each badge. I found it very annoying to have to repeat levels I’d already beaten over and over while trying to figure out the third level of the set, which would throw off my flow. Also a mushroom now and then would have been appreciated.

I remember someone saying in this comment section saying that they died 99 times in the final challenge, leaving me pretty terrified of it... especially the invisibility section. Turns out, I'm better at this game than I thought... because I died only 9 times, and first try'd the invisibility section. When I played it I had almost 50 lives, I played for hours and I got a game over during the, invisibility section I struggled so much on that section. And I decided to get back there as nabbit(to figure out how much longer the level was, and I still lost another like 20 lives getting back despite that) only to figure out that I only needed to land on one more bloomp to get to the land to reach the flagpole, I was so frustrated. I reset the level lost another like 30 lives and finally reached the flagpole. I had a little over 50 lives by the time I was done. Oh my gosh that was way too hard.

Ooooohhh, I did this level as Yoshi! I was afraid to chance it as Peach!

After 500 lives, I managed to get the Sound Off badge. It was insane.

Nice to see someone else struggling, if anyone wants more help just use Nabbit and for the invisibility part try 2 player, it’ll have a crown above your head you can see at all times or just put some tape at where Mario runs.

Just 100%d this game. Took me a long time to get to the end of that final level…and then I missed the top of the flag pole :’) So I gave myself a 10 minute break, went back, and cleared the whole thing in one try - WITH the flag pole that time around. What a wild level!

it really had no business being difficult, but the cloudy balloonguy special level took the most lives of any for me. i haven't done the final challenge yet but tbh it doesn't look that bad. only high jump and invisibility look challenging given the kinds of things i tended to struggle with in Wonder.

My favorite level is the puff peaks special climb to the beat in Mario wonder while jumping is actually when my favorite things in Mario games, second is the ice-skating level in Mario Galaxy

Finally got this myself today... And I'm really thankful to the devs for planning checkpoints here (unlike Super Mario Odyssey's Dark Side of the Moon, which almost made me lose my head). Now I just need to get through Champions Road on 3D World and my life will be complete 🥺

This true last level took me about an hour to beat. It was the one where I spent most of my lives with the special rhythm one. But I think it could have taken to me way more time if I didn't find some trick for the fire bars part. It was nearly impossible to me to get through. So I collected a power-up in another level and kept it for that very moment. That way I was able to take two hits and carefully get the checkpoint next after. I also remember starting again the acceleration part so many times it became only muscle memory at the end. 😁

I enjoyed so much this video and i relate, to be honest i spent 90 lives to accomplish that challenge but now I have all the medals too.

I like how Triple Lakitu Deluge begins with the very beginning of 1-1 and the end of 1-2

Man, whatever suffering you go through, same. I ran out of console battery before I could finish. Worse, I ran out of LIVES, from 99 plus what you earn from coins, before it was done. This is a 💀 moment.

in semifinal test, my fav part is the final phase (the one you run ar full speed) in final-final, you can cheat invisibility by using mutiplayer so you can see the crown and not to spam X

Me and my boy have gone through 200 lives trying to pass the final final. We've taken a 2 week break. Maybe after watching this he will try again. He's so close.

That first check point is so satisfying at first. Then you realize the sadism behind it.

All of these challenges were fun until the invisible one, which I cheesed by going online. Didn't realise I could cheese it by using emotes lol.
