In Northern Cameroon near the Nigeria border lives the Koma tribe who still wear leaves as part of their animistic believes. This region is called Alantika mountains where Alantika literally means "the place God has not visited yet". The Koma believe wearing modern clothes will bring them bad luck. When women without any clothes insisted on walking around with only thin tree branches under them, they were asked to stay away from the Muslim communities living in the same region. They live a simple life in this place where mountains and streams meet. Every 3 days women change the fresh tree leaves they are wearing.
