Give that last guy 20%% you said German and Swiss are very similar and you are speaking german and he’s speaking Swiss. If you can’t understand a few phrases then you don’t understand that language which means he gets the money
The difference is akin to regional phrases/accents in english. Some tread into the nearly unintelligible territory, but when you examine it it is still english
There are plenty of phrases in many languages which is not understood by other dialects of the same language. Doesn't mean it's a different language. If he spoke Romansh I'm sure he would have stumped them.
If you guys wanna play dirty because dialects are not clear and "mutually inteligible", then anyone would get the money. ANYONE can speak gibberish if they want to, even in fairly standarized languages like Russian... that doesn't mean these two dudes don't speak German, I meant.. weastern dutch if we're playing your game
