Tout mes félicitation à ce Mr qui à toujours gardé les accordéons du thianhou, qui est instrument de la culture Bwamou. Je suis fier d’êtres un bwa en l’écoutant.
He is basucally singing a war song which says how the warriors of their camp is bravely pushing back the ennemies who are invading them as ants ( meaning that they are many! When he say ka ba lo gnamama bara , a wa le kerede gnamba= whenever they invade us in multitude, we fight them back ( literally "chasung them back all). Then when he says :Wa daba vo yan lo hey! Wa dabavoyan lo! =we ovvercome them! We won victoriously. And he also adds that now they are ashamed because they lost, they are short of provisions (da =millet_ when he says ban da vo ro = they have no more millet), yet they cannot tell anyone for fear of being laughed of (mocked). The other part of the song is a very popular one in the Bwa community in rural areas mostly where the thianhoun player would sit in a public place like "cabaret" where local beer is usually sold, and would play to entertain others showing his talents by interpreting and creating his own songs in exchange of some lical beer calabashes (would be a glass if beer in another contaxt) or again. The thianhoun player would sit under a palabra tree (where elders meet for important decision or just to chat) and play for anyonr who is around to listen or for passer by to listen and admire his talent. Will cut the story short and tell tou now what that other part of his song means: In "cabarets", there is a lit of quarrels between people. Even when someone is not strong enough (physically) to fight a fellow, he still will dare him (probably because of the boldness he gets from drinking alcohol :)). So as someone mentioned in an earlier comment, he is advising this category of people to not fight if they can't beat their fellow even when they think that tjey can fight him, he suggest they still be cautious! This is very interpretive like mostly. I missed some parts of the song that I do not understand. But this is the essence of it. I hope this will help.
