I have a pair of the Thieaudio Legacy 5 (same shells as these I think) and while I think they're fantastic (plus I adore them) they also mark the upper limit of the shell size I find comfortable.
@@SuperReview Yeah the placement of the bass port isn't something I even thought about until you mentioned it. Yeah it's a risky spot for certain ear shapes, thats for sure.
Love the oracles, and I'm a little confused on your midbass and lower mids comments. My set seems to have quite a bit more warmth and punch than my dusk, and almost as much as my timeless. Definitely wouldn't consider it lean in any way. I know if I have any pressure all bass disappears. Only commenting because I'm pretty sure we have the same ears. Bought the er2xr, legacy 2, fdx1, and dusk off of your rec, and they sounded exactly like you explained and fit the same as well. We need to band together and force thieaudio to make an endgame iem with blessing 2's midrange detail, oracle's stage, and the fit of the legacy 2.
Agreed I also find the Oracle has a very punchy mid-bass. The Variations is usually the one in the ~$500 tier known for it's sub-bass over mid-bass tuning. The Oracle is more mid-bass over sub-bass focused. Perhaps it's a fit or unit variance thing. Double checking the graphs, the Variations and Oracle cross paths at ~160 hz on Super Review's graph, ~140 hz on HBB's graph, and ~100 hz on Crinacles graph so it could be unit variance or just how the measurements are done.
Thanks for the review, Mark. Oracle was the most balanced set I owned. Whatever I threw on them, they did great, and there was nothing that popped up as unpleasant (even with stuff like hardcore, grindcore, or metal with not so great SQ). I didn't find them bright at all. But after less than year dynamic driver in the left earpiece died, RIP :(
I think blunted means that when the sound doesn't sound clear as it should for the price...like its the issue I had with BGVP IEMs. They sound like there's a veil or muzzle over the sound
I have the Variations..I’m very😉 very happy with it’s performance..but I’m still looking for something to surpass it’s performance…that doesn’t break the bank 😋 Great review as always ☕️
It's going to be very, very hard to find something that beats the Variations for a remotely similar price tag. Imo, lots of these "mostly neutral" tribrids ~$500 are just a matter of personal preference. All of them will have correct tonality and sound full frequency, it just depends on how you want the last 2% tuned -- less treble, less sub-bass, more mid-bass, etc. If the Variations hit the spot for you then you probably won't find anything else to top it unless you simply want another flavor of neutral to switch things up.
Oracle owner here. I don't have that pressure issue. Though I had it pretty strong on the excalibur. It's really odd. Maybe the vents are a bit clogged. Your measurements also look leaner than others. Like the other guys in the comment I think they have a pretty good and solid midbass and punch.
I listen to your review of the Oracle one more time after a few months listening to it and I actually agree with you, the midbass is let's say delicate and the treble can be sometimes splashy❤️😆 But somehow in the same time they are really driving especially the lower midrange.Overall the combination of this delicacy and intensity in the same time, also certain wetness makes them very lovable to me.💯🙋♂️
Great review, but kinda lacks a comparison with the elephant in the room- the variations. Default recommendation in the price point. You don't consider them an option?
I'm pretty curious on hearing your review and thoughts on some small independent company, such as the Aür Audio, Elysian Acoustic or the other. Aür Audio Neon pro/Alita or probably the EA X/annihilator.
Thanks for the comparison at the end. I own the kinda lava and i know exactly what you mean when you say the physycality of the bass is a very good reason to own this set. Still havent found the right cable though. What cable are you using with the kinda lava ?
It just received my og Oracle and I am really surprised by the big meaty bass, subbass, midbass everything, I was expecting midrange to die for, but not this almost like subwoofer bass 😆🙋♂️
Personal I think the clairvoyance is more musical, fuller sound and enjoyable. But the Oracle has more accurate treble but it is less enjoyable. But alot i believe will find the Oracle as a modern iem. The oracles sound is between the clairvoyance and monarch, But with a more crisper treble. But I prefer the treble on the monarch and clairvoyance.
Variations has bloated overpowering bass that doesnt have impact due to massive lower mid dip, tbh sent it back. Mids to far back aswell. Treble was very good and separation
I'm so curious how the mk2 stacks up against the original. Do you plan on reviewing the mk2 soon? If so then can you compare it to the ie600 and kinda lava?

I thought every Thieaudio IEM that included the EST cable was always 2.5mm. The cable is indeed 2.5mm by default if you buy it separately, no idea who thought this was a good idea? 😕
@@SuperReview I've noticed the larger or medium create more isolation but the smalls enhance the detail and technicality of the IEM, if you will. Is this why true or am I deluded and is this why you choose to use the small?
Oracle is more exciting, better bass and better extended treble. But sometimes Oracle can get a bit spicy, where SA6 treble is high res and always smooth. Just a little duller.
@@SuperReview I imagine the dynamic dynamic driver really helps in the bass, I asked about these two since I was considering them after my Blessing 2's bit the dust 😢(ended up with the SA6 since the Oracle was always out of stock)

For me almost perfect. Less tamber sickness than empire ears odin, larger soundstage. Treble is little splash, but its not enoying. Bass is a little tide, it should be more "splashi", but more splashi bleed into the mids, its a good compromise. This is my upgrade from campfire solaris, which has a lot of issues. Campfire is even more overpriced than Thieaudio. Package from Thieaudio is almost crap. Really disapointing. Contra: Overpriced Cable Package/presentation Accessoires 2 pin conectors Pro: High tesolution High separation Not genre picking Need lower power Not riss Modular conector Large soundstage Easy to sell Fit its good Signature No big flaw Wow feeling Engaging When its dont wows me anymora, I will buy monarch mk3 + nw-wm1z mk2 or sp3000 and never spend more money on audio. I hold my solaris for 2 years.
@@maninironmask7925 Motu M2 is fine, you arnt going to hear any difference, the apple dongle is 10$ USB c to 3.5mm dongle which sounds transperant for the price.
@@mikaisfake Technically though, can’t I listen to 96khz or up to 192khz on the Motu. The dongle would only go up to 44.1khz wouldn’t it, Isn’t that a pretty big difference?
@@maninironmask7925 you can't hear past 20khz so you arnt going to hear anything past cd quality (44.1khz) Anything beyond 16bit 44.1khz lossless is basically bloat. Numbers aren't an indicator of performance in the audio world.
